We're building the consumer layer for private insurance, making it behave like a modern product. Upload your policies and, in under a minute, our AI turns fine print into clear answers: where you're over- or underinsured, where the gaps are, and where you're likely paying too much. We benchmark each policy against an anonymised pool of real policies to recommend better-matched alternatives - shifting knowledge and pricing power back to households. We're early-stage, moving fast, and already proving the need: 50+ customer interviews, 10 households switched, ~28% average savings while improving coverage - plus validation from senior industry professionals, a top-performing insurance salesperson on the team, and initial pre-seed backing from a Bain & Company partner.

The Problem: What problem are you attempting to solve, and how big is it? Children suffering from school refusal systematically fall out of the education system because traditional teaching methods fail to meet their individual learning needs. Today, 110,000 children have experienced school refusal—equivalent to one in five students. This target group becomes isolated at home during their school years, which later leads to difficulties in securing and maintaining employment, costing society 2.2 billion annually. Research shows that the most critical factor for these students is restoring their self-confidence regarding learning; they need to experience learning as a positive activity and process the traumas that led to their school refusal (The Back2School Modular Cognitive Behavioral Intervention, 2024). Therefore, before attempting to reintegrate students into the physical school environment, it is crucial to rebuild their confidence and bring them up to the academic level of their peers to reduce feelings of stigmatization. The Solution: What is your idea? Describe your product or service. GradeAid is an AI agent that creates personalized learning experiences. Students simply scan their homework or verbalize what they wish to learn. Our AI then generates tailored content derived from pedagogically validated materials, specifically designed for children who lack academic confidence or have fallen behind. The system continuously learns from the student's interactions and automatically adapts the curriculum. This helps restore the self-confidence and joy of learning that many of these students lack, while ensuring the process is both personalized and fun. The platform features a 24/7 AI tutor providing instant feedback. Through gamification, students earn coins for their virtual pets. This approach was selected because research has long established that gamification effectively builds confidence and helps children re-engage with learning (Impact of gamification on school engagement: a systematic review, 2024). Instead of forcing the child to fit the system, our technology adapts to the child's way of learning. Our intention is to build confidence so that children find it easier to return to school, equipped with the mental energy to focus on social reintegration. The platform supports both English and Danish. We are currently testing the Danish version.

We’re solving the problem of adult social isolation by making it easy to create, join, and engage in hobby-based meetups, all through one intuitive app. Making friends as an adult can be surprisingly difficult. Whether you're a Dane moving to a new city or an expat starting fresh in Denmark, it’s common to feel socially disconnected. Many adults don’t know where to start when it comes to meeting new people outside of work, dating apps, or closed social circles. This problem is widespread and well-documented—especially in Denmark, where surveys consistently show that many internationals struggle with social integration, and even locals describe it as awkward to make new friends past a certain age. We’re tackling this head-on by making socializing more accessible, interest-based, and low-pressure. BuddyUp Social is designed to break down the barriers of adult friendship and create opportunities for spontaneous, real-world connection. Whether it’s joining a hike, hosting a board game night, attending a ceramics class, or finding a casual pub quiz crew, BuddyUp is all about connecting people who are "up for it"—with no pressure, no awkward messaging phase, and no algorithms getting in the way. Unlike traditional social platforms focused on digital interaction, BuddyUp is built around real-life meetups. Users can explore and join events happening near them, or create their own. Events can be public or invite-only, recurring or one-off, and are always centered around shared hobbies or interests. The app also welcomes collaborations with local businesses, allowing them to showcase open community events, bringing even more variety and accessibility to users. We’re launching in Denmark first—starting with Copenhagen and Aarhus—before expanding to similar cities across Europe. The idea behind BuddyUp was born from personal experience. As someone who returned to Denmark after years abroad, and with friends struggling to meet people after relocating, it became clear how socially challenging adulthood can be. We kept hearing the same story: “I’d love to meet new people, but I just don’t know how or where.” Instead of settling for outdated forums, clunky Facebook groups, or apps not designed for platonic connection, we decided to build a better solution ourselves. BuddyUp is more than an app—it’s a movement to make adult friendship and community-building normal, easy, and enjoyable again.
