BrainCapture

BrainCapture is a Danish startup developing a revolutionary medical technology aimed at the 4+ Billion people in emerging markets who lack consistent and affordable access to neurological diagnostics. This lack of access leads to millions of people going without diagnosis and treatment for conditions like Epilepsy. We believe this significant global issue can be addressed by applying the tools of the 21st century - smartphones, connectivity, AI and automation - to the outdated medical technology and practices currently in use. We also believe that the vast disparity in access to care represents an opportunity. We are creating an Electroencephalogram (EEG) device which is easy to use, telemedicine optimized, and AI assisted in order to offer EEG as a service throughout Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. The idea of an affordable, portable, connected EEG device has matured rapidly since BrainCapture was founded in 2019. Our small but dedicated team has validated the concept in trials in Guinea and Bhutan, tested prototypes at Filadelfia Epilepsy Hospital in Denmark and at Harvard Medical School, and undertaken usability testing in Kenya. Our founding team consists of leading AI professors from DTU, a Harvard professor in Epilepsy, engineers with execution experience and strong senior investors. We have secured funding through investors and European grants for the next phase of our growth we have been awarded a 1M EUR Eurostars grant(2020), raised 500k EUR in seed capital (2021), and secured 2M EUR from the European Innovation Council via their Accelerator Award (2022) with this our development and roll out is fully funded through 2025. We are currently expanding the team with several profiles to take us to the next level and deliver a device and technology stack that will change the lives of millions of people all over the world. Pluto.markets (YC W22)

What are we building at Pluto? 👷🏻 Pluto.markets is on a mission to make the financial markets accessible to everyone in the Nordics by building a simpler & cheaper investment platform. The team 🎳 The founders (Joakim & Oscar) have known each other since age 15 and have built another company together before. Joakim holds a MSc Degree in Economics and have worked as a trader at Danske Bank and Goldman Sachs while Oscar is BSc in Software Engineering and has spent most of his career building software for the pharma industry. We are currently 7 people in the team, mainly working in engineering/product. We are backed by some of the world's most prestigious investors, most notably Y-Combinator.

Rentle

The way we consume goods is changing - it's not anymore about owning stuff. Instead, we care about the experience enabled by the stuff we use. To put it simply, it’s about what we can do, not what we own. The challenge we face is that today's commerce software is almost exclusively designed for selling ownership, not access. To grow sales via quantity, not quality. This makes it unnecessarily complicated for both consumers and businesses to discover the vast potential of outside ownership. Rentle exists to empower merchants with a commerce platform that expands them from unit sales to services, from ownership to access, from unsustainability to sustainability.

Y factor

Conceiving through donation is often a complicated, highly regulated, time consuming, impersonal and expensive process. Because of this many future solo mothers and donors go to the private market, however the current solutions in place are chaotic, low quality and lack safety. Y factor is working to remove the majority of these barriers. We have built an app that provides a safe, accessible, and personal way for people to achieve their family dreams through peer to peer sperm donation, connecting future parents with donors. This is something that will make a difference in countless lives. We believe in what we’re building and the social good it brings. Coinify ApS is an established global virtual currency platform actively offering solutions in Europe, Asia and other regions. Coinify’s services include: individual currency trading, corporate brokerage, payment processing services, and Enterprise solutions via Coinify API. Our mission is to mainstream the use of virtual currencies and thus help businesses and individuals to adopt financial innovation. Moreover, Coinify can be seen as a bridge for merchants that can e.g. accept blockchain payments in 15 currencies and receive payouts in fiat. Coinify team consists of strong backgrounds in payments, finance, risk, e-commerce, and compliance areas and experience in working with digital currencies since 2010. The company was incorporated in 2014 and is owned by US-based Voyager.

Yazen Health is a digital caregiver focused on weight loss management via a combination of medical treatment and lifestyle changes. Our team of specialists; your own doctor, YazenCoach, dietitian, psychologist and personal trainer will support you in losing and maintaining a healthy weight. Yazen started 2021 by the founders of other successful digital health care companies, such as MinDoktor (My Doctor) and Blodtrycksdoktorn (The Blood Pressure Doctor). Headquarters are in Lund, Sweden and Yazen is expanding in Europe.

Hobbii

Resights

They claim data is the new oil - and we have democratised the drilling tool for the entire real estate industry. Resights is an online platform compiling available property data from 20 different databases (incl. public registries like BBR, CVR, Ejerfortegnelsen (EJF) and Tinglysningen, as well as building up our own proprietary datasets about transactions and rental statistics). We offer all necessary information about properties in Denmark as a SaaS solution, to give our customers everything they need to get an overview, whether they use it to scope potential investments, find property information or much more. Our customer portfolio are from many different fields and comprise lawyers, architects, engineers, investors, real estate agents, property developers and accountants. And this has only been possible, due to our uncompromising approach to hiring the best people 💙 We are a fast-growing, early-stage startup with currently 45 amazing people in our team.
