We are developing a generic platform for “training equipment” within various fields plus various embodiments of this equipment. Quotes because the platform is not limited to sports, it can also be used to e.g. engage kids on a playground or people in general in public areas. The system addresses 2 problems: Athletes of all levels need to maintain the sometimes tedious training routine necessary to build muscle memory and develop fine motor skills and the system gamifies these routines. There is a general problem with obesity in society and the system will help to engage people in public areas (playgrounds, parks etc.) in physical activities. The first type of physical equipment being developed is for hockey training (ice-, field- or floorball). A working prototype is already developed but minor adjustments are necessary in order to strengthen especially the feedback part of the system. The platform (app) engages the users by sending tasks to one of the physical elements which in turn reports back to the platform about their performance in order to enable tracking over time and compare with peers.
