Combat Climate Change, set up with a large vision of creating an impact along with a tangible contribution to UN's 2030 agenda for sustainable development, is currently focused on a deep tech innovation idea of making recycled products in the container shipping industry from fully recycled plastic. Our oceans need to be protected! The idea in a nutshell -> When shipping containers fall in our oceans, they hit the bottom damaging marine life. We want to make refurbished containers from recycled plastic injected with microbubbles, giving them the buoyancy and ability to float. The idea is based on archemedies principle and the principles of circular economy, directly supporting UN SDGs 14.1, 9.4, 12.5 and 12.c. It will be one way of helping shipping companies with their decarbonisation agenda and move towards their green transition.
