We’ve won national level races, and we’ve crashed. Sometimes we break stuff: bikes, parts, and legs. Beside, we’re also engineers, and have decades of experience in the development of complex mechanical devices. Our inventions are on the seabed, terra firma, and in space too. And we’ve delved deep, to bring about innovative transmission parts for automotive brands such as Porsche AG, VAG, and BMW, and heavy truck makers, like MAN, Daimler-Benz, Volvo, and Scania. But that’s another story. We are cyclist and we love our bikes… but we also want them to be better. DanAid is a mobile Micro-health insurance service providing optimized health plans for the millions on uninsured across Africa. In most countries in Africa unlike Europe, access to healthcare is cash based, with families having to cover all medical costs out of pocket and often up-front. This causes people to delay, skip or forgo care for lack of money, or to choose between healthcare and food or education. The consequences are drastic and well documented. The traditional insurance and community based health financing solution have proven ineffective. Only about 5% of the population is covered, mainly because of high prices, lack of trust and the low reach of their agent based models. We have built a hybrid platform where families can subscribe for an amount they can afford and receive quality coverage for most of their medical needs. Our solution leverages mobile payment facilities as well as the existing healthcare infrastructure to provide near real-time access to care for our subscribers and their families. The users receive the care they need simply by sending us an SMS or scanning our mobile APP through our specially designed "Digital Patient Journey".

Vi engasjerer og inspirerer folk og beslutningstakere gjennom å spre konseptet Fiksefest for elektronikk, og ved å sette bærekraftig forbruk av elektronikk på den offentlige agendaen. Vi er en del av et internasjonalt Restarters-nettverk som har vokst ut av Londonbaserte The Restart Project. Nordmenn ligger på Europatoppen når det gjelder bruk og kast av elektronikk, og dette har store klima- og miljømessige konsekvenser. Ved å jobbe praktisk og lokalt, spre glede og mestring knyttet til reparasjon ønsker vi å endre folks forhold til elektronikk, hvordan vi setter pris på og tar vare på den. På en Fiksefest utforsker og reparerer vi elektronikken sammen, lærer av hverandre og har det gøy med å la den leve lenger. Gjennom arrangementene sprer vi derfor nysgjerrighet og ingeniørferdigheter, i tillegg til glede knyttet til å ta vare på elektronikken vår.

Siden 2015 har over 1600 børn og unge fået styrket deres selvtillid og selvværd gennem vores workshops og forløb.
