The Trailguide app is a digital guide to outdoor activities - providing services both for private users and commercial businesses. With acccess to the software-solutions, businesses can create their own digital activity maps, and also choose between a variety of functionalities to optimize their guest experience, searching for activities. Trailguide is easy to use and provides immediate accessibility for the visitor - without registration and login, making it easy to find the most awesome trails for mountain biking around the world and around the corner.

Norwegian Government Security and Service Organisation (G.S.S.O) is a Norwegian Government Agency located in the centre of Oslo. It has approximately 750 employees and an annual budget of 624 million Norwegian kroner. G.S.S.O reports to the Ministry of Government Administration and Reform. The main purpose of G.S.S.O is to provide synergy for the ministries with cost-effective and reliable shared services. These include cleaning, security, switchboard and postal services, as well as running computer systems and handling government publications. One department of G.S.S.O works solely with government procurements, and G.S.S.O also has a department that offers accounting services. Norwegian Government Security and Service Organisation was established in 1979. In the early years, its main objective was to provide centralized services for the ministries. Throughout the 1990s, G.S.S.O has been used extensively as a tool for the Ministry of Government Administration and Reform to reach its goals.

We improve the way the shipping industry works and communicates. The whole industry is currently bogged down with unstructured emails and ship data.We have built a great ship database, and have a growing and happy customer base just from this. But we are not done. We are building communication tools on top of this, massively increasing the number of users we can help out!

Apple made one of the most iconic ads “Here’s to the crazy ones” to lift their campaign “Think Different” in 1997. This ad was so “new” and controversial that it since has made history, and is now part of most curriculum in most marketing schools around the globe. It was written by Rob Siltanen, Creative Director for TBWA/Chiat/Day and Creative Director at Apple Lee Clow. It wasn’t Steve Jobs, but it was he who made the quote famous (Originally it was the voice of Richard Dreyfuss in the ad). This, for us marketing geeks, is food for thought, awe and inspiration. Not because of the text itself, Steve as a celebrity, but for what impact that ad had on its audience. Knowing now, in retrospect, the ad was basically describing Steve himself, and beautifully put together with famous “rebels” of their field, we cannot help empathizing and relate to the ad, the history and the text. Don’t get us wrong, we are no rebels. We do not contribute to any groundbreaking tech innovation or have a goal of changing the world. What we believe in, is changing the way advertising is perceived, consumed, and targeted. The glory days of “buying a TV ad and you’re set” have long passed. The effect of “Here’s to the crazy ones” can still be archived, and is our goal in everything we do. We are forever inspired by Steve Jobs, and his rebel being, and we named our company after his ad, written by an agency. The agency does not matter, the sender does.

Entro is an energy- and environmental consultancy firm with two clients – our customers and the environment. We save our customers time and money, and we help the environment by reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints. Entro has about 60 employees in Oslo, Trondheim, and Bergen. We had a turnover of NOK 63 million in 2016 and saved our customers NOK 400 million. Entro has a unique interdisciplinary expertise with a good mix of practical and academic skills. Among our staff we have more trade certificates in electrical and construction, more than 60% of the employees are civil engineers and engineers and we have several employees with training in economics and management. We have expertise in electrical, plumbing, building, environment, and IT.

Yetz is a new distribution platform for product lines such as insurance, electricity, telecom, and finance. At launch, we will offer both insurance and power. We utilize strong incentives towards our customers and partners to share the concept, by giving them an affiliate commission. Monthly payment is based on the turnover of customers they have referred. Two fully owned sister companies Yetz Strøm og Yetz Forsikring.

New drugs for treating diseases of Down syndrome. More than 1% of the global GDP is spent on nursing demented people, and the number requiring nursing will triple within 2050. The disease is progressive, leading to death. There is no current cure available, only symptomatic treatments. Individuals born with Down syndrome have a more than 10x risk of developing dementia as well as a host of other diseases including diabetes. Our drug target, DYRK1A is an enzyme found on chromosome 21, and is considered a key factor determining developmental and medical challenges faced by individuals with Down. The enzyme interacts with multiple biological mechanisms involved in Alzheimer’s and autoimmune diseases. Advanced drug designUsing advanced drug design technologies, we have designed a potent DYRK1A inhibitor drug, PST-900. A use and substance of matter patent have been applied for. The company is currently working on chemical Lead Optimisation with 8 full-time medicinal chemists contracted.Financing and milestonesThe Company raised NOK 5 million in 2015 and 8.8 MNOK in 2016/2017, matching non-dilutive research (BIA) and business grants (Innovation Norway). We demonstrated Proof of Principle in a model system for Alzheimer’s disease in 2Q2016. We have also demonstrated that our drug is capable of reversing diabetes in an animal model. Together with clinical and regulatory advisors, we have identified an important unmet need for a drug to treat newly diagnosed diabetes. We will use this indication to quickly progress to market and from there develop analogous drug molecules in Alzheimer’s disease, focused especially in Down syndrome. Funding soughtThe current funding round will raise 15+ MNOK to fund the progression to the final Development Candidate during 2018. Following this, further funding will be sought to perform toxicology/safety and Phase 1 clinical studies.
