We started FÆRM in 2020 with the goal of making amazing plant-based cheese. To do that, we use traditional cheese production methods, locally sourced proteins and science combined with a whole lotta love. The problem that we’re solving is twofold. First and foremost conventional cheese has one of the highest carbon footprints in the food industry, with higher emissions than both chicken and pork. Secondly, the plant-based alternatives to cheese that do exist on the market generally fall short on both taste and texture, providing little incentive for consumers to make climate friendly choices. These sensors can be mounted e.g. on a mining machine, or a bridge or tunnel, on a aggressive manufacturing machine and generate data and information about the moving parts of the machines which breaks most often and therefore in crucial need of monitoring. The founders of ElastiSense are all former employees of Danfoss and have been involved on magnitude of projects where they again and again could see the problem. The founder finally took the leap to start up ElastiSense when they received an enquiry from Grundfos on digitalizing their production line with this new technology. Since then the team have succeeded to introduce the product to multitude of markets verticals.
