Einka Økonomi' solution aims to prevent financial stress by providing knowledge, coaching and necessary tools to address the effect financial difficulties can have on life areas such as mental health, legal disputes and family economy planning. EINKA wants to be a completely neutral information channel, that employers can rely on to bring their employees closer to financial wellness. We are developing a knowledge hub that will help users in differing financial situations, building a tailor-made journey comprising of interactive financial tools, tutorials, strategy guides and virtual coaching with the purpose of achieving greater financial wellness for the user and increased productivity as a result - for the business. Our preliminary research has shown us that in the first quarter of 2019, the total amount of claims amounted to NOK 1 billion in Norwegian debt collection cases. In August of 2019, NAV stated that eight per cent of Norwegian employees had forced salary deductions. Personal economy subjects are not obligatory within the Norwegian schooling system, rather most people are educated on these topics via banks and other financial institutions, or often through following in their family's footsteps. This results in a knowledge gap and a hurdle for social mobility. As social entrepreneurs we have seen that nothing is being done to alleviate these problems in an effective way, so we have decided to take a stance, and commit to being the solution. Sideflow is circular economy service, who is developing a service to help textile companies eliminate waste. We do it by building a platform that connects industrial sidestreams to potential utilizers. From all the material used in textile manufacturing in Finland, up to 30% ends up directly into waste, most commonly as cutting waste. Global research suggests that the amount can be even higher, up to 45% when also deadstock is included. We are creating a service and a platform that recognizes the material waste in an early phase and connects it to potential utilizers - companies that can use the rescued material in their products as it is, or after it is processed to new materials. Through our work in textile productions, we recognized the issue, and ran experiments and pilots to find solutions. In the pilots we have been able to eliminate waste by channeling the waste to new products. There lies undiscovered value in industrial sidestream, both for the economy and the ecosystem, and our mission is to recover that.
