At PluvioFlow, we are a pioneering startup dedicated to empowering societies to plan for and manage the risks associated with extreme weather events. We are building a cutting-edge, web-based application for water flow simulation that will make a real difference in communities worldwide. Our software centres around a unique algorithm developed from 30 years of research at Lund University. We work with city planners, property managers, insurance firms and humanitarian organisations who need to identify flooding risk by running scenarios and helping them evaluate appropriate interventions to protect what matters most.

Rispons helps member-based organisations connect effectively via smart mobile messages. The email inbox is flooded with both important and not important messages, which basically prevents effective communication and engagement. The average individual gets around 100 emails on a daily basis, including everything from important to not important messages, advertising and spam. As a consequence, the email open rate, engagement and response rates drop significantly and makes it harder to properly get your messages out to your target audience for a fast response. My interest for mobile engagement started when working with email marketing and personally seeing the (lack of) engagement from your most important audience. Another key issue is the lack of response you get when you are competing for people's attention via email. When I created Rispons I wanted to create a personal and effective channel to bypass all the clutter in the email inbox. I wanted everything to be fast, mobile first and extremely effective, but without anyone downloading another app. This is why I created a browser-based platform that can message anyone that owns a smartphone, and get much higher and faster engagement.

Blend is a mission-led start-up which believes business should be a force for social good. Blend works with social enterprises who employ and uplift marginalized women from patriarchal villages in India to bring elegant products to the urban buyer in Nordics. Our main product line is carpets hand-made with natural materials such as wool, jute, silk and recycled PET. The carpets are made with the same superior weaving technique of Persian carpets but have simple and neutral designs which suit the Nordic design sensibility. By promoting handmade products by marginalized women Blend can impact 11 out of 17 UN SDG goals. We launched in Q2 and already have our products in boutique store in North of Copenhagen. Once we establish market connects, Blend wants to connect designers from Denmark and other Nordic countries to production centers in these rural villages to blend the functional Nordic design with 5000 years old artisanal talent of India. In future, Blend will also explore tech-based leasing options for its high-end home furnishing range. We believe that everyone should be able to upgrade home furnishings without giving-in to consumerism and impacting mother nature adversely. Blend is founded by Shakti, an Indian who has lived in Denmark and worked at many Senior Director level positions in Danish companies like Mæersk, Deloitte and Rambøll.
