COVID-19 has created a difficult market locally for personal trainers due to lockdowns and closed gyms, but it has also accelerated the adoption of digital services. We enable the green shift to happen in new markets! TioTech is a Norwegian producer of titania (TiO2) nanomaterials and a developer of titania-based technology. We know how to optimise the production process and properties of titania nanoparticles. After successfully developing and commercialising a series of photocatalytic surface treatment products (www.joma-int.com), we are directing our R&D efforts towards a new area; the use of titania as anode-material in Lithium-ion batteries (LIB). A battery with our material on the anode will charge faster, last longer, be safer and tolerate temperature variation better than conventional batteries which have graphite on the anode, and outcompete LTO-batteries on capacity. The development work takes place in our in-house laboratory in Bergen, where our dedicated team (Hjørdis, Marthe, Rob, Anders) play around with titania, giving life to innovative solutions.

Around 54% of cars sold in Norway were Electric in 2020 and this is increasing on monthly basis. This trend of Electric Vehicles (EVs) in our society is rapidly increasing globally, while in the EU many countries have now adopted ambitious targets for further expansion of electric mobility. However, the availability of public charging points is not growing at the same speed. According to IEA, 87% of global EV charge points are installed in private locations and are not accessible to the public. This gives rise to the problem of fewer charging options for an increasing number of EVs with no options for private chargers to be active players in the domain of electric mobility. SonoClear AS develops an acoustic contrast fluid to remove noise in ultrasound images, used during brain tumor surgery to guide tumor removal.
