Fischer Lighting is a sustainable front-runner who has developed a unique circular business model where waste is transformed into new beautiful lamps that make buildings more sustainable and people healthier. In 2023, Fischer Lighting saved more than 53 tons of discarded lamps from being thrown away, and with the concepts ReUse, ReDesign, and ReCreate, unique lighting solutions are created in a beautiful and industrial design that meets all the requirements of a new lighting fixture. In addition to environmental sustainability, social sustainability is also an important part of the concept. Therefore, all the old lamps are separated and assembled by people on the edge of the labor market in Denmark. At the same time, the lamps are equipped with the latest technology, which, among other things, enables circadian lighting, which can stimulate the production of hormones in our body and create better well-being for people in buildings.

At the end of 2013 there was few guys talking about what they would like to do because of the passion of tech and doing things right. About that idea a couple months later Restbyte was founded, we were working on few proof of concept ideas for some time but because of the funding we ended up working on consultancy business.  Anyway we decided keep the initial idea of working on interesting projects which we actually care about and wanted to offer likeminded people a place to work.

We are a Copenhagen based design studio working at the intersection of design, art, and technology. We create our own collections under Hamide brand,  offer design consultancy service, and create spin-off projects. Our design process values empathic creativity, in other words, we love walking in others’ shoes with a creative mind.  We are currently working on one of our spin-off projects, Bookworm, aiming to create a democratic digital library experience. We started our studio to honor our mother Hamide, who was a designer but never had the recognition she deserved, and passed away after a long battle with an atypical Parkinson's disease.
