A Krismis Story The julegenser.no project is simply a result of our very first ugly christmas sweater love affair! After a visit to Canada in 2012, two sumptuous, LED flashing ugly christmas sweaters came with us home to winter Oslo, Norway. The sweaters evoked this childlike happiness over the Christmas celebration, both in us and in everyone else when we wore them to Christmas parties and we noticed that we wanted more of this feeling. We simply wanted more of such sweaters! It was easier said than done in 2012. But, if you do not find what you are looking for, you can make it yourself...so then we did it. Although it took its time. With our brand 'Krismis' https://krismis.com, we want to share this sparkling, warm Christmas feeling with you. This way you can also have the Christmas atmosphere in your wardrobe all year round, and always have something to wear at the Christmas party, not matter what. We simply love Christmas sweaters! Jutebar Denmark ApS

Jutebar Denmark Aps formed in 2020 December. Jutebar Denmark Aps working with 3 among 17 FN world goals. Poverty alleviation and eco-friendly living goals are the most two common goals in which jute bar Denmark is working right now. As we are directly sourced and produced the product from a rural area in Bangladesh, they are mostly poor people. They do not have the skills to sale their product in the international market. They do not have the ability to broaden their capacity as well. Jutebar Denmark continuously working on build up their capacities and capabilities by maintaining quality which is suitable for the Nordic market. Mckinsey and company report of 2019 said that 99% of danish people worried about plastic and plastic-based material. They said the danish government should do something about the alternative of plastic. So Jutebar Denmark is working on the solution already. As jute is totally 100% organic fibre. No chemicals and pesticide can be used to grow jute. The report of Mckinsey and company also mentioned that 85% of danish people worried about ocean waste which is mostly plastic. So Jute can be the solution to this problem as well. As jute can help the land to become more fertile. Wastage of jute or jute made products can be used for landfill. As a part of recycling, jute can be recycled and make home textile which can contribute to the danish economy as well. Jutebar Denmark already thinking to establish recycle production in either Denmark or Poland so that the supply chain process will be shorter. All in all Jutebar Denmark currently working on making a bridge between the rural farmer of Bangladesh and Nordic buyer especially in the B2B market. Jutebar is a scalable business not a small business. We have a great team of production, supply chain management, quality management and a dedicated marketing team. We are working basically with jute and jute made products and Bangladesh is the land of jute as more than 60% of jute in the world produce in Bangladesh. We are continuously working and investing in IT so that our customer can easily get our product from farmer to end user. In future, we can probably use blockchain technology in Liew of issuing a letter of credit to our local bank. Our marketing policy is quite different from the traditional marketing system. We are doing solution-based marketing. That’s why we are offering our customers a customized design and packaging system. Besides all of the above, we have great suppliers also. We are much more confident to scale our business in Europe and all over the world in near future. But our current focused market area is Nordic. Besides Jute and Jute made products Jutebar Denmark also going to source other biodegradable items as well. Such as palm leaf made biodegradable plates, bowl, spoon. As single-use of plastic and plastic made plates, glass, bowls are going to be banned in Denmark and the Nordic area.JuteBar Denmark’s mission is to replace the plastic item with a biodegradable item from Bangladesh. Jutebar Denmark following the Bangladesh model here because the Bangladesh government banned plastic since 2002. So Jutebar Denmark going to adapt the system over here in Denmark.

Sideflow

Sideflow is circular economy service, who is developing a service to help textile companies eliminate waste. We do it by building a platform that connects industrial sidestreams to potential utilizers. From all the material used in textile manufacturing in Finland, up to 30% ends up directly into waste, most commonly as cutting waste. Global research suggests that the amount can be even higher, up to 45% when also deadstock is included. We are creating a service and a platform that recognizes the material waste in an early phase and connects it to potential utilizers - companies that can use the rescued material in their products as it is, or after it is processed to new materials. Through our work in textile productions, we recognized the issue, and ran experiments and pilots to find solutions. In the pilots we have been able to eliminate waste by channeling the waste to new products. There lies undiscovered value in industrial sidestream, both for the economy and the ecosystem, and our mission is to recover that.

Satcube

We are a start-up based in Gothenburg. At the core of our company is our lightweight satellite terminal, capable of providing high speed internet at any location on earth. This is done by sending radiowaves 36000km into space, aimed at a satellite that is only a couple of meters wide, before retransmitting the signal back down. Our advanced terminal then interprets this signal - an internet connection has been established! In our next development phase, we aim to offer web services where clients easily can manage, control and update the Satcube terminal online.

We are building the world's most extensive online management system for sports clubs and employee associations within companies. Today, the vast majority of sports clubs and associations are managed on multiple platforms, most of them being outdated, not meeting the users' demands. Sportyfriends is here to change that. We gather all assignments in one intuitive system. Our portfolio of features include a website builder, court booking system, membership management, organization of activities and financial management. Moreover, we offer a lights and locking system for sports centres, online payments, and a mobile app for iOS and Android. Our team consists of a committed group of people having dealt with the challenges many sports clubs and associations are facing today. Therefore, we have a deep knowledge of our users' needs and we share the vision of offering a complete management system that helps our customers save time an administration and automate key work processes. The Pitch The Pattern Agency is developing a digital B2B marketplace to help the design industry (fashion/interiors/textiles/consumer goods) solve easy access to premium Scandinavian print design through a custom-built marketplace hosting a series of innovative digital services. The What The design industry is digitally immature and has worked according to the same system for many years. However the market is rapidly changing and consumers are becoming more aware which means the old system is becoming obsolete. New digital and readily available services are required and that’s where The Pattern Agency comes in. Buying print design has been analogue for years where many purchases are done at physical trade fairs. But as fairs only occur a few times a year and the customer demand is quickening, the need for readily available print design is increasing. The majority of design companies outsource print design but find it difficult and time-consuming to locate new design talent. Or they ask their over-seas supplier to deliver a print and loose control over copyright and infringement which could be devastating to the brand and the business. We are looking to replace an analogue system with a digital one and in the process changing how the industry operates by inventing services that they didn’t know they needed. The How By developing a user-friendly platform that caters to the mind, eye and business sense of the creative buyer, our aim is to build a full-service platform that incorporates every aspect of the needs of the design industry and thus becomes the only tool required for buying prints, design, inspiration and guidance online. A one-stop-shop and platform. The Why As both founders are design industry professionals, we’ve been frustrated by the lack of out-of-the-box thinking in the industry for years. Founding partner Oskar is a graphic designer and has been commissioned print work for fashion and interior companies historically. He found these processes extremely time-consuming and his commission hollowed at the end of a project and thought there must be a better way of doing this. Founding partner Ellen has been working with freelance designers and know of the frustration and will to get their work out on the market and the struggle to gain audience with companies in the industry. So the design industry is struggling to fin designers and designers are struggling to get in touch with the design industry. This is the problem that we want to solve and in the process disrupt an industry. The Scandinavian design expression is renowned and highly sought after internationally and our aim is to put Scandinavian print design back into the position it had in the 1950s. And to do so using modern technology and invention. We’ve built a rocket and all we need now is rocket fuel in terms of funding but also a business partner with experience of disrupting markets that can push us and the company to success.
