Bile duct cancer is an aggressive form of cancer with an extremely poor overall five-year survival rate of just 2-5 %. Classified as an orphan disease, annual incidence in Europe and the United States of 15-22,000 patients, and a significantly higher incidence in Asia, makes it a major player and the deadliest of the gastrointestinal cancers. Only a small number of patients are eligible for a complete surgical resection by local resection or liver transplantation, and more than 50% of these relapse. The vast majority are treated by gemcitabine-based palliative chemotherapy with a life expectancy of 11 months, and five-year survival rate of zero %. Thus, there is an urgent and unmet medical need to develop new and better treatment strategies for these patients. The innovations developed by Seald are a result of adopting a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of bile duct cancer, based on extensive drug sensitivity assays on living cancer cells, molecular biomarkers, DNA sequencing, extensive bioinformatics analyses and zebrafish models. Diinef is a small company started in 2013 by three engineers. The business concept is sales of electronically controlled valve systems for large hydraulic motors. The valves control the connection between each individual motor cylinder and high- and low-pressure, thereby making the motors controllable and increasing power and efficiency significantly. The product is unique and belongs to the growing technology area of digital hydraulics. We have partners in the areas of motor manufacturing and maritime- and offshore equipment. Throughout 2017 we are developing and testing valves, electronics, and software to finalize the first product, and in parallel, we work with equipment manufacturers to develop application examples and methods. Diinef's founders are employees of the company. We are one Norwegian and two Danes working out of three different locations in Norway and Denmark with a business address in Kristiansand. Our ages are between 30 and 53. Electronic communication, cloud-based documentation, and some travel activity is part of our daily life. So are flexibility and self-motivation. We are looking for a profile to strengthen our team in the area of electronics and software.
