While the B2C industry is becoming increasingly digitalized, utilizing data to optimize inventory, product flow and customer engagement, the B2B industry is lagging behind. This is especially true within the industrial order-producing companies, where many companies have little online presence, and in the industry, only 19% have websites with online purchase options. The ambition of Supplybase is to become a multisided platform, where purchasers, engineers and hobbyists can identify, trade with, and review the many order-producing suppliers of metal, plastic, and 3D printed parts. This is done by improving the process from identification and request for quotation, to purchase and repurchase in an easy and streamlined online experience. Using this platform, the order producing companies can capture and use their own data, gathered during the quotation/purchase/repurchase process, in an easily understandable manner. What is RE-ZIP RE-ZIP is a circular packaging concept offering circular packaging to more or less all players in the ecommerce industry. By circulating and hence reusing rather than using single-use packaging (even recycled) we save CO2 even the first time a packaging is reused. It works likes this RE-ZIP delivers the packaging to webshops who offer the sustainable packing solution to their customers at check-out for a minor fee (paid back via reward voucher upon returning the packaging). Upon receipt of the goods the customer folds the RE-ZIP packaging to a return format and return it at a Drop Point. The packaging is returned to the RE-ZIP warehouse for cleaning and re-circulation to the webshops. The RE-ZIP packaging can be circulated up to 10 times, but more importantly the packaging will begin saving CO2 Within the first or second use – depending on the type. RE-ZIP has developed a state-of-the-art backend system supporting the above process and are currently operating in Denmark, UK and Poland. The Why: By 2050, the world is required to produce at least 50% more food and do so while achieving 'Net Zero' carbon emission according to the UN. Seaweed has unique properties in that it can be grown on lines of rope in the ocean, with no requirement for artificial inputs (fertiliser, fresh water, light). The output is nutritious seaweed that is stock full of essential vitamins (A, D, E, B1, B2), Iron, Calcium, and Omega-3 fat - usually only found in fish. And there's more - seaweed also sequesters about 5x as much CO2 as land-based plants. In short, seaweed can be part of the solution for some of the world's largest issues.
