Startup Migrants is a company based in Berlin and Oslo. We help cities to boost job creation. We are passionate about collecting and analyzing data that can help cities to solve their challenges. Our data is collected from 15 countries, 45 cities and over 200 in depth interviews with policy makers, entrepreneurs, NGOs and migrant founders. We also have created Startup Preschool, a 3-day crash course in entrepreneurship with and for young multicultural talents. We have so far done 84 Preschools and planning to many more in Norway, Germany, Austria and the UK and other countries. Our more than 1000 participants are now part of an acive alumni group and go on applying to accelerators and starting companies.

Momentus is an app that gives a new mother all the knowledge she needs about her own body and health after pregnancy and childbirth; something that's missing on the market today. She receives medically reviewed information based on where she is in her timeline after childbirth, presented in various formats such as podcasts, videos and articles. She also receives tips on relevant products from our partners / customers and the opportunity to undergo individualized rehab, take part in courses and training programs.

The concept MyEpi is based on an application working as an assistive device for epileptics and their closest with the purpose of creating a safer daily life for them. The primary focus in the App is detection of what looks like epileptically seizures. When the Smartwatch/pulse watch detects what looks like a seizure, it is registered in the application, which afterwards sends a message to the near relations of the epileptic such as a mother, father etc. When the nearest relations of the epileptic receive the message, they can see the GPS-location of where the epileptic is to be found on the platform of the app which is for the relatives.

ORIGINS The story begins with two Portuguese siblings from Porto separated by different life paths. The other one, currently in Lisbon, Portugal working as an Executive Director and Brand Management Consultant for several design and furniture firms. Both with very different but complementary skills, a strong link between two highly contrasting cultures, a great desire of working together and something that glues everything together, Længsel. This special feeling led these two young siblings to create something unique in which they could spend some time together, exploring their particular skills, infusing a truly Danish experience and Scandinavian design influence with a very strong Portuguese background and heritage. And so, Længsel Design is born. The architectural lines, the contemporary elegance and the Scandinavian style are very present in pieces that were inspired by Portuguese historical marks, landscapes and cultural aspects. The nature of the brand privileges the local handmade and craftworks, natural materials and a sustainable relationship across the whole value chain. NEW NORDIC DESIGN In the Nordic product design, there is a necessity of practicality, with a focus on usefulness and durability, taking into account the surrounding natural world and its resources.
