The uMover® is a smart and usability-focused 3-wheel electrical vehicle for transporting people over shorter indoor and outdoor distances (0,5-5 km). It has been developed by us, DTU spinout CJ Company IVS, whom have built the uMover® upon a future mobility concept proposed by Continental AG (CAG). The uMover® targets employees who need to travel frequently within shorter distances, enabling them to become more efficient at work by easing their way of travel and reducing their travel time substantially. The uMover® will be a superior work-environment travel solution, as it – due to its smart design – offers the flexible advantages of walking, but with the similar speed and ease as driving a car or a bike. Drawbacks of the solutions in the market today are high prices, space requirements (especially for cars), no compliance with traffic regulations and laws and poor safety control (limiting the indoor application possibilities). Through cooperation with DTU and CAG we have been able to complete a full proof-of-concept and develop several of the unique mechanical components and are now in the detailing phase of the mechanical and electrical construction for a scale-up of the uMover®.

The name has been chosen because it is easy to remember, it works in several languages, and because we provide you with a tool that you can easily grasp; in this case your phone. After many years in the construction industry, Kim Andre Heggenes was tired of working with poor tools for communication and documentation in the projects. Give messages to carpenters, electricians, tilers, plumbers or anyone else, you write or read them directly on your phone. Who is it made for? For you who are craftsmen, a toolbox that is always available, so simple that you actually use it. What benefits does it give you? A working day with fewer phone calls and easier communication with the others in the project. When you wonder, for example, who is responsible for a task, which HSE rules apply here or what has been carried out, you will find it in Gripr on your phone. And when your colleagues in the office wonder about something, they find it in Gripr instead of calling you. Why do we call Gripr a toolbox? Gripr is a toolbox with the tools you need to carry out projects neatly and efficiently. It is made especially for those of you who are more fond of crafts than paper work, and you can use it all the way through the project. Why are there fewer errors and deviations when you use Gripr? Because all agreements, HSE requirements and work assignments are available at all times, and because all deviations and changes can be documented with text and images as soon as they occur. Better overview and fewer problems, then there will also be fewer errors. Why do you get a better overview with Gripr? Because Gripr is a common channel for communication for everyone with a role in the project. Here you communicate, see how tasks are distributed, what has been done and what remains. Effective checklists ensure that no tasks are forgotten.
