We are the first who have developed and matured industrial displacement sensors primarily made of rubber material. Thanks to their resilience against mechanical and environmental aggressions, these sensors can sensorized even the most aggressive applications in the field. These sensors can be mounted e.g. on a mining machine, or a bridge or tunnel, on a aggressive manufacturing machine and generate data and information about the moving parts of the machines which breaks most often and therefore in crucial need of monitoring. The founders of ElastiSense are all former employees of Danfoss and have been involved on magnitude of projects where they again and again could see the problem. The founder finally took the leap to start up ElastiSense when they received an enquiry from Grundfos on digitalizing their production line with this new technology.
