We enable the green shift to happen in new markets! TioTech is a Norwegian producer of titania (TiO2) nanomaterials and a developer of titania-based technology. We know how to optimise the production process and properties of titania nanoparticles. After successfully developing and commercialising a series of photocatalytic surface treatment products (www.joma-int.com), we are directing our R&D efforts towards a new area; the use of titania as anode-material in Lithium-ion batteries (LIB). A battery with our material on the anode will charge faster, last longer, be safer and tolerate temperature variation better than conventional batteries which have graphite on the anode, and outcompete LTO-batteries on capacity. The development work takes place in our in-house laboratory in Bergen, where our dedicated team (Hjørdis, Marthe, Rob, Anders) play around with titania, giving life to innovative solutions.

This is a major bottleneck in the development of smaller launch vehicles, forcing every actor to go through the same R&D process before they can perform their actual business services. By providing a commercially available off-the-shelf rocket engine design for the launch vehicle's upper stage, we want to save these launch companies the initial years of testing and research needed, letting our customers skip the r&d-heavy initial process of engine development and go straight to value-generating satellite launches. Reducing the time from inception to launch by several years, we relieve rocket launcher companies of the insecurity and stress related to the development of rocket engines and let them go straight to launch, bringing more cargo to orbit.

Inspired by Swedish non-discrimination agencies, we have started an agency that aims to work against harassment and discrimination. We will sell counseling, legal advice, and courses to primarily the private market. This income will fund free legal advice to those harassed or discriminated against. High-quality cargo bikes and high-tech solutions for urban mobility. Bogbi is a  Norwegian-Colombian startup that produces cargo bikes in Bogota for the national and international markets with a strong integrated social impact. Our bikes are handmade by Norwegian industrial designer Johannes Hegdahl and Colombian engineer David Duarte, as well as excellent welders and other local providers of components and engineering here in Bogota. In all moderation, we are being told that we have developed a world-class product. At Bogbi we want our bikes to contribute to Colombia's future in peace. Together with the Norwegian Refugee Council, and the Colombian company Mejor en Bici we are setting up a pilot -project to provide vocational training for young people involved in the conflict to become welders, entrepreneurs and eventually work with us to develop what we call: bike magic from Colombia. To increase our impact on society and the environment we have teamed up with the Norwegian organization International Development Norway and Innovation Norway. Together we will develop a digital platform for last-mile delivery service. This will enable companies to bring goods from business to business using cargo bikes and create employment for vulnerable groups, as well. We were accepted to apply for Innovation Norway's vision 2030 grants to develop a last-mile delivery service in Bogota and around the world. Otivio’s main product, FlowOx™, is addressing chronic wounds with focus on peripheral arterial disease (PAD), which is a serious condition leading to pain, chronic wounds and in many cases amputation and mortality. The patient population is very large and increasing. There are limited adequate treatment options offered to the patients aside from surgical interventions. FlowOx™ is a non-invasive product intended for home use. Long-term patient testing in more than 50 patients documents increased blood flow, reduced pain and wound healing. FlowOx™ is CE marked. In fourth quarter 2017 had its commercial break-through through sales of FlowOx to public customers.

New drugs for treating diseases of Down syndrome. More than 1% of the global GDP is spent on nursing demented people, and the number requiring nursing will triple within 2050. The disease is progressive, leading to death. There is no current cure available, only symptomatic treatments. Individuals born with Down syndrome have a more than 10x risk of developing dementia as well as a host of other diseases including diabetes. Our drug target, DYRK1A is an enzyme found on chromosome 21, and is considered a key factor determining developmental and medical challenges faced by individuals with Down. The enzyme interacts with multiple biological mechanisms involved in Alzheimer’s and autoimmune diseases.
