UVision makes sensors for underwater inspection - Visualising the subsea. Ships, harbours, windmills and bridges need regular inspection, also underwater, in order to avoid major failures and costly repairs. Underwater, inspection becomes a lot more complex, it is difficult and risky to operate under water, and video-inspections are costly and ineffective. We are therefor building the UVision sensor to make inspections easy, safe and precise. The UVision sensor is a 3D-underwater camera; unique in size and weight and therefore easy to mount on a pole, on any underwater drone or handheld by a diver. You scan an object by simply moving the sensor around it, guided by a real-time 3D-map on a screen. After the scan, advanced algorithms create a photorealistic 3D-model and store it in our cloud solution - ideal for collaboration with colleagues, customers and partners. We are three full-time founders - each with 25 years of experience within technology development, marketing and management. One of us has a lot of experience with underwater photography, and we all have a deep interest in technology and strong urge to make something of our own - with all the ups and downs it will bring :-)

We help protect investors from being misused by financial institutions, financial institutions from being misused by money launderers and terror financers, and the financial system from excessive risk-taking. There are 2 connected problems that we solve. They originate from the fact that financial institutions are required to adhere to strict regulations when onboarding clients. This makes the onboarding journey of a client slow and onerous, and causes many clients to abandon the onboarding process. We call this problem the "Consumer Compliance Conflict". The second problem is that this regulation also makes client onboarding complicated, costly, and prone to human error - and for that reason, many financial institutions simply don't comply, leaving investors and society open to fraud etc. We call this problem the "Cost of Compliance". We solved these two problems by automating the entire client onboarding journey. This makes the process fast and smooth for the client; and also a lot less expensive and complicated for the financial institution - and therefore the level of compliance, and as a result the levels of investor and society protection, significantly increase. It's a win-win-win situation. The investors get more protection; financial institutions get more protection and lower costs; and even compliance officers, which at first fear their jobs are endangered by automation, find out it only takes away the repetitive, error-prone parts, and frees them to do the more interesting parts of their role. Short and sweet Synobody is a biotech company working within the field of synthetic biology. We have developed a platform that makes the finding and production of a group of molecules called Nanobodies easier and less expensive. Nanobodies are essential in diagnostics and pharmacology research, and we strive to bridge the gab between researcher and nanobody. More Info: Synobody is a synthetic nanobody (Nb) company offering identification and validation of high-affinity nanobodies for research institutions and companies worldwide. The Synobody platform is a highly customizable system developed to ease the implementation into common lab practices independent of application. Although Nbs have huge potential within a wide span of research areas, it has struggled to find its way to market. The necessity of llama immunization and lack of systemization keeps prices high and diminishes ease of adaptation into common lab routines. At Synobody, we want to bridge the gap between Nb-technology and researchers, by addressing these barriers. To eliminate llama immunization, the company has developed a highly diverse and fully synthetic Nb-library used to systematically screen for high-affinity Nb. Identified nanobodies can readily be fused to tags or labels and function with secondary Nb commercially available on the Synobody platform.

Sopu Academy is a young edtech startup based in Helsinki, providing international negotiation skills education globally. The company is supported by the Helsinki Education Hub, and currently provides hands-on online programs to develop individuals’ negotiation and communication skills. Previous Sopu Academy programs gathered participants from Finland, Turkey, Austria, Germany, Singapore and Thailand.
