Nordic Bio-Graphite aims to transform industries toward a net-zero future by supplying CO2 negative graphite. Graphite is the largest component in EV batteries and a critical material for green steel production. However, traditional production methods emit up to 20 kg of CO2 per kg of graphite and consumes significant energy. Leveraging two patent-pending innovations developed by leading materials scientists at KTH Sweden, we have developed the first solution to produce fossil-free graphite from bio-based materials at scale. This unique process enables us to produce green graphite at a cost close to fossil based graphite, while significantly reducing emissions and boosting energy efficiency. Within four years, NBG aims to prevent over 150,000 tonss of CO2 emissions annually.

From the outset, the brand has received international recognition from i.a. Vogue, ELLE and Forbes. HELMSTEDT works at the intersection between art and fashion – with the delight of the unexpected. The artistic approach is manifested in womenswear, sculptures, poems and from this year also a children’s collection. Each season’s whimsical universe starts from Emilie’s imagination and is brought to life in the HELMSTEDT design studio in Copenhagen – the Helmstedt House.
