Upotential is a place where you train your mental skills to improve performance and mental wellbeing together with other people from all over the world. Upotential was founded 2019 in Sweden by Marianne 'Maja' Marescotti, a former elite tennis player, and Catrin Eriksson, an Ironman finisher. Maja and Catrin felt that something was off in the discussions around mental health. Instead of focusing on what can be done proactively to avoid mental health problems, too much focus had been put on reactive treatment. Why wasn't there an inspiring place for people who want to proactively train their mental skills to improve performance and mental well-being?! United by a clear vision to contribute to a healthier and more fun world to live in, the founders felt it was time to create a new solution and make mental fitness training social, accessible and affordable. The main idea behind the gym for mental fitness was to create a typical kind of gym, but instead of training your body, you would train your mental skills and work on everything it means to be human, such as discovering yourself, finding your passion points, going for your goals, and learning how to connect to yourself and others! The next addition to the team was Camilo Sáenz-Moncaelano, an expert with a PhD in Sport- & Performance Psychology. We're a rental agency in Copenhagen, utilizing a two-sided market dynamic in the model in the same vein as AirBNB. However we target the market for a medium term rentals. Apartments are serviced by us, and rental is taken care of for the rentee and we take care of the rental to customers. This allows the renter to be completely decentralized from their property, while still reciveing and income.

In March 2022 we secured 23 million NOK in funding, and will use this money to scale the company further, including going internationally. You can currently find us at Vollebekk Fabrikker in Oslo, but will move to an other place in Oslo in the autumn of 2022.
