Tech Founders

A group of tech startup founders working together to help aspiring and established founders of Denmark-based technology companies connect with each other, invest in each other, learn more and grow their companies through the power of community. We organize activities through a series of initiatives that each serve a need and help solve a problem. These include, but are not limited to: Tech Talent Every startup is fighting the talent game. We will run a series of initiatives to create awareness of the benefits of joining a Danish start-up and drive more qualified applicants. An example of this is the #DKTech4Ukraine initiative which aims to help tech talent refugees from Ukraine connect with Danish startups through a fast-track process. Founder Matchmaking We want to be able to match new Founders with seasoned Founders to help facilitate knowledge sharing in a more private and personalized manner. Tech Angels We want to help match founders with tech angels. What is a tech angel? Another founder who has previously built a technology company and is now in a position to invest in other founders. We believe this provides the best baseline for sound, practical hands-on advice as the tech angel supports the founders in the growth of their startup.

Copenhagen Cartel

We alleviate some of the pressure our current way of living has on our planet, especially the oceans, by challenging the traditional ways of producing and consuming fashion. We use sustainable and innovative fibers, materials, and production methods. This allows us to produce sustainable high-quality, lasting products that literally cleans the oceans from plastic waste. We give new life to waste materials and used resources, that’s considered worthless, and offer products that puts people and planet before profit. We also strive to be more than just a clothing brand; we are a community of passionate, aspirational, and brave frontrunners and we facilitate opportunities for people and other brands to join us in making a plastic positive choice. Why? Because we truly believe in putting people and the planet before profit – and impact before glory. We live and breathe to rid the oceans of plastic waste. It’s on the agenda in everything we do, both as a brand and as human beings living and fulfilling the mission of Copenhagen Cartel; to contribute to keeping the ocean healthy - for ourselves, for you and for generations to come. WeCircle is the leading platform for secondhand shops and shops with shop-in-shop concepts. It is a market with specific needs for the both our customers and their sellers. We are on a growth journey and our platform is now geared towards an international expansion as well as an expansion into new areas where we have a competitive advantage. We are targeting a niche in a growing field and have just expanded to Norway with further international expansion ahead.

INXO A/S

INXO A/S is a nutraceutical company based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since 2016 we have developed, testet and patented a recipe to enhance sexual enjoyment. It is called XO Nitric Oxide Activator®. Our unique and patented recipe consists of amino acids, minerals and vitamins. The recipe has been optimized and a nice taste of orange and mango has been added. It is safe to use XO® and the recipe is in accordance with the regulations of the Danish Veterinary & Food Administration. We have gotten patents in Denmark and the US and more are underway. XO® is a powder that must be dissolved in a drink like orange juice or soda. Ca. 45 min. after you drink it, your intimate life gets a lot more fun. XO® is for women, men and all other genders. Thats why our website can be found on xo.xyz. We will launch the product end of March 2022.

Real estate, and proptech based out of Göteborg, Sweden. JHB is a construction and property developer who also is pivoting into proptech. The software will mainly focus on project management with the focus on construction area. The tools goal is to save time, make the work load easier and smoother while also giving the projects a easier way to have a clear overview of tasks och scheules. In short, JHB Group will create a planing tool and time management software.

Nodon

The construction industry is responsible for 10% of global CO2-emissions, but our AI-platform helps construction companies to cut 50% of their emissions while saving both time and money. By automating the material choices made during the construction process we guide the construction companies to the smartest way to optimise the CO2 reduction of the building, without compromising the budget or deadline of the project. Our goal is to reduce 50% of global CO2-emissions from the construction industry, and we need your help to get there! 🌎💪🏽

Brain+

Digital Therapeutics for Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia. Our mission is to restore patients' independence and quality of life by detecting and treating dementia with digital technologies. Brain+ is addressing one of the largest healthcare challenges of our time, namely dementia. Currently, 1 in 3 seniors die with/of dementia in the US and globally 50 million people are diagnosed with dementia – and unfortunately, this figure is expected to more than triple to 152 million people by 2050. As we generally live longer and the prevention and treatment of the most common causes of death such as cancer and heart disease are getting more efficient, dementia is expected to become a leading cause of death by 2030 and is already the leading cause of death for women in the UK. Dementia puts an enormous emotional burden on the patients and their loved ones as cognitive abilities deteriorate, behaviours change, and independence is lost. It is also a massive and increasing financial burden on society and our health care systems with an accumulated global cost upwards of 1 trillion USD globally today and expected to double to 2 trillion USD within decades, and eventually expected to eclipse the cost of cancer and heart disease.

Biosyntia

Biosyntia ia a biotech start-up, which was founded by Morten Sommer, Hans Genee and Andreas Hougaard Laustsen as a spin-out from the Centre for Biosustainability, at the Technical University of Denmark. Today we are 20 passionate people with capabilities spanning from strain engineering, fermentation optimization, bioprocess development, business development and sales. Until now, we have raised EUR 10 million of which EUR 4 million are from national and grants. Our investors' great support and funding mean that today we are the leading developer of natural vitamin bioprocesses. Our ambition is to replace highly polluting chemical processes and challenge the status quo with significantly more sustainable fermentation processes. Proprietary microbial fermentation processes – our unique asset We produce natural ingredients based on microbial fermentation processes. While it compares to the process of brewing beer, it is distinguished by our unique and proprietary microorganisms. We select our microbes to produce specific natural ingredients of our choice. By integrating the developed microbes into full-scale manufacturing processes, we can deliver natural ingredients to our customers at unprecedented cost, quality, and scale with minimum environmental footprint. World leaders in vitamins and plant bioactives Nature is a treasure trove of ingredients, with more than 40.000 registered bioactives. Biosyntia focuses deeply on a subset of natural products. Our current product platforms position Biosyntia as a world leader within a selection of fermented vitamins and plant-derived bioactives.

Cognity

We offer a system that makes unbiased and explainable decisions based on previously verified cases. The design is centered around human-interpretable knowledge, resulting in a system that is transparent to its core. We believe that useful AI must be explainable. Our system gives exact explanations for its decisions. The explanation is detailed, easily understood by non-technical business end-users, and can be used to document the decision. The system learns as it processes new cases, building a knowledge base. This knowledge base is human-readable and can be used to analyse the knowledge assets of an organisation. Knowledge becomes tangible and quantifiable. Unlike machine learning, our system gives users control over the decision process. Users can decide exactly how the knowledge base is built and what knowledge is included in the decision making. Therefore, biased decision can be easily detected and avoided.

VETiSearch

VETiSearch is a Danish veterinary medical search engine designed to streamline the process of accessing information on veterinary pharmaceuticals. It offers veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and students the ability to search for registered veterinary medicinal products approved in Denmark and the EU. Our mission is to provide veterinarians with the best digital tools to deliver optimal care and expertise in treating their patients, with the goal of promoting and protecting animal health throughout the EU.

Peppelini

Peppelini Studios is a newly started children's clothing company that aims to produce high-quality apparel in the most ethically and environmentally friendly way possible. We want our brand to be synonyms with timeless design. We want to set a new standard when it comes to sustainability, quality, and the way parents consume children’s clothing. We are looking for people who feel as strongly as we do about changing the status quo. We know from our research that more parents want their children to own long-lasting, high-quality clothes with a cool and fun design. 
 Our first collection will consist of 3600 pieces and will be ready in February. Even though our first collection is relatively small, our goal is to establish Peppelini as the best slow fashion brand out there within a few years. 
 How we aim to become more sustainable: Peppelini aims never to have sales. We will produce clothes in our tempo and make sure we have zero waste. We also want to buy back all the clothes from our customers. When designing our clothes, we have in mind that at least four children should be able to wear the clothes before we need to recycle them. 
 Each organization and company involved in every step of the production process must live up to our expectations. Meaning they too must be totally transparent and carefully investigate their supply chains. The goal naturally is to get more companies and more people involved and take action. The fashion industry has to change, and it has to change now.  
 We are looking for people who feel as strongly as we do about changing the status quo. We believe there is a market for high-quality, sustainably made children's clothing. More parents like us must want their children to own clothes made to last, with a cool and fun design.  
 After a long intensive search for the right factory, we finally found a manufacturer we know is doing its best to produce clothes using fewer chemicals, use renewable energy, think circularly, and eliminate waste the best it can. 
 Our first step was to define sustainability for the company and our workers. What vision and goals are we working towards? Becoming more circular is one goal. To have every single worker live a better life (in every part of the production).  
 Moving away from cotton was a no-brainer. Most companies buy their cotton from factories without really knowing the development process, where it comes from, the conditions of the farmers, and its TRUE environmental effect on the planet. There is no fundamental understanding of the social and environmental impact. An accurate and transparent investigation must take place. Otherwise, the risk of falling victim to greenwashing is high.  Almost all companies are talking about sustainability. Unfortunately, most of it is greenwashing; companies are doing the bare minimum to receive certifications. If an Oeke or GOTS cotton certification is handed to a product, what does that mean? Is that certification enough for us customers to justify the product as sustainable? What does sustainable even mean? Don't we have to take the company behind the product into consideration? After consulting with many sustainability experts, we chose to go with Lyocell. Not only is Lyocell the most sustainable material out there, but it's also durable and incredibly soft and comfortable. A big part of the design is durability. No more wear and tear; throw the clothes out after only one child gets to wear the item. Peppelini garments are made with love, and we demand our customers to treat them with the respect they deserve. 
 Our daughter Pepp's favorite clothes are Lyocell clothes made in Utenos! We know the quality is super high. After many, many washes, those clothes are still as good as new.  We also wanted to find the most environmentally friendly transportation method and boxes to ship the clothes in.
