At Mesh Community we work with the objective to boost the startup ecosystem in the Nordics, in order to help startups grow faster and smarter. Our winning aspiration is to be the solution and go-to place for 4 critical startup challenges: Space, Network, Talent and Funding. We strive to inspire and empower entrepreneurs in our communities by offering the best startup hubs and the most valuable network, while working to modernise the entire startup sector. We currently focus on the Nordics (Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland) and work with both physical and digital channels. One of our main efforts is to create innovation hubs that combine startup offices, co-working spaces, meeting places and events to stimulate networking opportunities for our startups, members and other visitors. In addition we run The Hub, the leading startup recruitment platform in the Nordics, working to connect Startups with talent and investors. Mesh was founded in 2012 as the first co-working space in Oslo ever. Since our launch we have been creating positive noise to push the startup scene forward, and to modernise its dynamics. Today, we have four Hubs in the hearts of three key Nordic cities; Mesh Nationaltheatret and Mesh Youngstorget in Oslo, DIGS in Trondheim, and Matrikel 1 in Copenhagen, and we plan to open more hubs and expand to new cities in the coming years. However, procurement is becoming overloaded with complexity. Different frameworks, different data sources, different coverage, making it difficult to make purchase decisions to improve your responsibility profile and scope 3 emissions. At Responsibly, we're trying to solve this issue by using leading technologies and data science, to build a supplier data platform that makes it easier to source responsibly. We're founded by two serial entrepreneurs with previous successes like Dixa and Ofload, and have received pre-seed funding from some of Europe's top VCs and angels. Proteins.1 is a Finnish biotech startup on a mission to make diseases detectable years before symptoms appear — when treatment is most effective and survival rates are highest. The Problem For diseases like cancer and Alzheimer's, the body releases early warning proteins into the bloodstream long before any clinical symptoms emerge. The problem is that these signals are so faint that today's blood tests simply cannot detect them. By the time a diagnosis is made, the disease has often already progressed to a stage where treatment options are limited and outcomes are far worse. Our Solution We've developed a breakthrough technology called Affinity-Mediated Transport (AMT) — think of it as bringing PCR-like amplification to proteins. Just as PCR revolutionized the detection of genetic material, our platform makes individual disease-signaling proteins visible from a standard blood sample, at sensitivities up to 1,000 times beyond what current gold-standard diagnostics can achieve. The technology originated at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, has been validated through EU breakthrough innovation funding, and is protected by granted patents in both the EU and the US.
