Ocean Industry Forum Oslofjord is the Oslo chapter of "Maritimt Forum". It's a not-for profit association with an aim to encourage innovation in the ocean industries and to support ocean start-ups and help them become scale-ups. Most of the maritime, offshore and other ocean industries are in big need of innovation, and we have a small, but significant enough role to play in that respect. We will work with other actors, like The Hub, in the Oslofjord region and beyond, to achieve this goal.

Det var for noen år tilbake stor produksjon av solcellemoduler i Norge. Norske REC hadde produksjon av komplette solcellemoduler både i Glomfjord og Narvik. Begge i Nordland. I 2011 kom bl.a. østlige produsenter på banen og presset prisene betydelig på kort tid. Dette så mye at REC ble nødt til å flagge ut produksjonen fra Norge. Igjen stod det mye god kompetanse. Bare i Narvik jobbet oppunder 300 personer med solcelleproduksjon. Det var, og er fremdeles, et forskningsmiljø på solcelleteknologi i Narvik. Det var ifm denne utflaggingen fra REC at Solbes AS oppstod. Vi kan dermed skilte med å være den bedriften i Norge som har noe av den beste kompetansen som er å oppdrive, samt en av aktørene som har vært lengst i markedet. Dette er vi stolte av! ​Vi har ansatte både med mastergrad og doktorgrad innen solcellesystemer.  Som en bil ikke er en bil, og en ost ikke er en ost, så er heller ikke et solcellepanel et solcellepanel. I tillegg kommer alle de andre komponentene i solcellesystemet. Om du skal kjøpe en bil, er farge og hestekrefter det eneste som teller? Lada og Lamborghini det samme? Developing an automatic system for saving costs, reducing waste, and increasing hygiene relating to use of disposable gloves in the food service industry. The system allows disposable gloves to be reused and disinfected. We are in the process of adapting prototypes and software with partners for final test phase in the market.

He understood how things could be improved and started to build the system on top of software not on hardware. He truly is dynamic and energetic person always enjoying to try out new practices. Jakub has good eye on visual details and UX design, which is highly important in our business cases. >Antti is our CTO and also one of the founders. He has PhD from Applied Electronics and one could say that there’s he knows a bunch of things related to telecommunications and software development. We admire his intelligent attitude towards any kind of situations, even it would require to use hammer and drill. >Perttu, our COO, has joined to team after comparing the building automation solution for his own house and finding out that Mount Kelvin was the best. Determinedly, he increases brand awareness and expands our operations to a global level. He has long history as managing director of various companies during the past 20 years.
