We have developed a camera-based sensor for 24h automatic sea lice counting and biomass measurement. Our product solves the main challenges in high contrast underwater imagery of sea lice with deficient maintenance. We are looking for funding to take the effect to the next level, where approval of our solution in the industry and by authorities are key factors as well as the development of the organization.

Fishency Innovation can give access to the entire salmon industry to affordable equipment to count automatically sea lice in the cage. Monitoring sea lice is the key to controlling them, it is access to good decision support for optimized treatments and to a reliable tool to measure the efficiency of preventive measures and existing treatments. Today, sea lice are counted manually over 20 fish, every week, in each cage. It is labor-demanding, and the collected data are not reliable. Sustainability starts with good data.

CNF blir fremstilt gjennom en kjemisk prosess som separerer CO2 molekylet til sine to bestanddeler, karbon og oksygen. CNF har unike egenskaper, og benyttes i dag blant annet ved produksjon av batterier og som byggemateriale. Markedsprisen på CNF er høy – og tilgangen på produktet har frem til nå vært begrenset globalt. I 2015 ble det omsatt CNF for rundt 10 milliarder NOK globalt. Anvendelse av produktet er sterkt stigende – og ny teknologi som vi besitter gjør det mulig å optimalisere produksjonen, og således sikre en stabil tilførsel av CNF til markedet. Bergen Carbon Solutions (BCS) ble etablert i 2016 basert på en bacheloroppgave ved Høyskolen på Vestlandet.
