We use robots to automate and democratize access to healthcare! The groundbreaking robot, Careebo, has been designed and developed by a team of robotics researchers at the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense, a city home to one of the world’s leading robotics clusters. The robot was developed as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the issues we suddenly faced as a global society. Clearly, we were not ready - we want to change that! The pandemic led to cross-infection between citizens and healthcare workers, low qualtiy samples due to inter-personal variability, and unequal access to basic healthcare such a swab sample. At Lifeline Robotics, we aim to enhance our pandemic preparedness and global health securty by utilizing automation and robotics to create a system which enables ongoing and implemented monitoring of what moves around in our societies. We envision, that this system can be implemented at strategic locations, so citizens can easily engage before travelling, attending big events or visiting vulnerable family.

Our tech is designed to optimize farming schedules without the need for farmers to consult weather forecasts or other decision support tools. Through the use of satellite-based local weather and soil data, along with our proprietary database of agronomic parameters, our algorithms are able to calculate the ideal time to conduct a range of farming tasks, for a variety of crops and soil types. These include harvesting, tilling, seeding, spraying and more. We work with space tech from ESA, the latest AWS cloud technologies like Lambda and DynamoDB, Python for most of our API backend, and Golang for our math-heavy algorithms.

Unicontrol develops a simple machine control system for excavators. The system can be used for documentation of the work performed including the execution of simple workflows like e.g. creating a parking lot, dig a drain and small roads. It provides the possibility to work with designs provided by a surveyor. Thereby, the machine operator or the contractor can save the expenses for a man on the ground and the surveyor, work up to 30% more effective and use fewer resources.
