Oncoinvent AS is a privately held Norwegian company established in 2010. The company is committed to developing new innovative products to provide better treatment options to cancer patients. The innovations being developed by Oncoinvent AS are a result of the extensive experience with the development of radionuclide-based cancer treatments of two of the founders, Dr. Roy H. Larsen and Professor of clinical oncology Øyvind S. Bruland. Larsen and Bruland are the inventors of the first FDA and EMA-approved alpha-emitting pharmaceutical product Xofigo® (Bayer AG), as well as of the beta-emitting radio-immunotherapeutic product candidate Betalutin® (Nordic Nanovector ASA). Oncoinvent's lead product candidate, Radspherin®, is a novel alpha-emitting radioactive microsphere designed for the treatment of metastatic cancers in body cavities. Radspherin® has been shown to cause a significant reduction in tumor cell growth. It is anticipated that the product can potentially treat several forms of metastatic cancer. The first clinical indication for Radspherin® will be the treatment of peritoneal carcinomatosis. Clinical development will be conducted in collaboration with European and American clinical research centers.

New drugs for treating diseases of Down syndrome. More than 1% of the global GDP is spent on nursing demented people, and the number requiring nursing will triple within 2050. The disease is progressive, leading to death. There is no current cure available, only symptomatic treatments. Individuals born with Down syndrome have a more than 10x risk of developing dementia as well as a host of other diseases including diabetes. Our drug target, DYRK1A is an enzyme found on chromosome 21, and is considered a key factor determining developmental and medical challenges faced by individuals with Down. The enzyme interacts with multiple biological mechanisms involved in Alzheimer’s and autoimmune diseases. Advanced drug designUsing advanced drug design technologies, we have designed a potent DYRK1A inhibitor drug, PST-900. A use and substance of matter patent have been applied for. The company is currently working on chemical Lead Optimisation with 8 full-time medicinal chemists contracted.Financing and milestonesThe Company raised NOK 5 million in 2015 and 8.8 MNOK in 2016/2017, matching non-dilutive research (BIA) and business grants (Innovation Norway). We demonstrated Proof of Principle in a model system for Alzheimer’s disease in 2Q2016. We have also demonstrated that our drug is capable of reversing diabetes in an animal model. Together with clinical and regulatory advisors, we have identified an important unmet need for a drug to treat newly diagnosed diabetes. We will use this indication to quickly progress to market and from there develop analogous drug molecules in Alzheimer’s disease, focused especially in Down syndrome. Funding soughtThe current funding round will raise 15+ MNOK to fund the progression to the final Development Candidate during 2018. Cykling uden alder er en global bevægelse af cykelture for ældre over hele verden. Vi eksisterer i 52 lande og har derudover 52 danske kommuner som medlemmer. Der er i dagens Danmark brug for nye lystbetonede fællesskaber, som både kommer de ældre, civilsamfund og plejepersonale til gode. Vigtigst skal de ældre ikke sidde dag ud og dag ind alene derhjemme eller på plejehjemmet. Derfor sørger hundredvis af danskere gennem Cykling uden alder for at ældre atter bliver en synlig del af samfundet på de røde rickshaws. Cykelpiloterne hos Cykling uden alder får ikke penge for at invitere de ældre med som passagerer. De bliver heller ikke tvunget til at køre med nogle bestemte. De får ikke besked på at løse en velfærdsopgave eller være en ressource i et presset system. De cykler, fordi det giver så god mening for alle.

At Akusis we deliver relevant content to the more than 1 million people suffering from hypertension. At the same time, we facilitate an easy to use blood pressure measurement proces, that enables general practitioners to receive patient reported data with a significant higher data integrity than the excisting solutions. An ease of mind solution for both patients and doctors, that saves and improves lives, and lowers the expenses in the Danish healthcare system. Hypertension is serious, and when not treated it could be fatal. However, the impact can be reduced, if treated properly and at an early stage. We have talked to a number of both patients and doctors, and from this we learned: * Doctors require more than 500.000 measurements a year. Measurements are performed by the patients in their own home, and self-reported into an existing digital solution. * Measuring and entering data in the system can be difficult, and leads to mistakes in about 36% of the total measurements performed. This gives doctors a poor chance of diagnosing correctly. * There is a need of a more simple and intuitive system, that can reduce the number of bad measurements. * Furthermore, the patients report, that they need information on exactly what hypertension is, and what they can do themselves to lower their blood pressure levels (besides taking their medicine). * Patients feel left alone with a lot of questions, and no one to answer them. Instead they go online, and find the answers in various places, and too often answers that ends up worsening their condition. Our solution is based on our own website, and our mobile application. On both platforms we deliver the content that we know the patients need. Today it is scattered all over, and of mixed quality. We bring it all to a single place. On top of that, we add tailored treatment courses, and hand on tools to be implemented in an every day life, giving the patients a chance to act and improve. Our content is delivered by experts in the areas of sleep, exercise and nutrition, as we know that is what the patients ask for. For those that want more than just information, we deliver access to an easy to use measurement proces, by using the equipment already at hand. Historical readings can be seen on the application, notes can be taken, and it is even possible to send the data to the doctor. The combination of the above signigicantly reduces the impact of hypertension in Denmark, and represents an approach to this specific disease, that doesn´t exist today. The idea for this specific project comes from a member of the founder team, Kurt Rasmussen, and is further developed by the other team members, who are both health tech engineers. Kurt is a general practioner with more than 25 years of experience, and has for (too) long experienced issues related to poor quality of blood pressure measurements, and patients that want to do more, but don´t know how to. We strongly, both as general practitioner and health tech engineers want to improve the every day life of patients, and enabling them to life longer, fuller and richer lives, free from worries and not needed complications. By developing Akusis BPM System, we are able to do so, and at the same time reduce the costs of treating hypertensive patients in DK. We claim, that when fully implemented, we are able to reduce the costs in the amount of billions - even conservatively put around 2-3 of them every year.
