The problem:The easiest pollution to clean up, is what's on the surface. Lost fishing gear is hidden on the bottom. It doesn't only cause pollution, but also torture and death of enormous amounts of animals. About 10% of the total amount of seafood harvested are wasted to ghost fishing. Hundreds of thousands of crab- and lobster traps are lost every years. In the Florida Keys alone an estimated 100 000 traps are lost every yearCaptured animals starve to death, and become bait for others to follow. Lost traps thus become endless killing machines at a severe societal and environmental cost. Over time traps also start dissolving, releasing microplastics into the ocean, working its way into the food chain and polluting our seafood. The solution:ResqUnit is a device that's mounted on top of a trap or a pot. If the trap is left under water for a longer period of time, ResqUnit activates and floats to the surface. Thus enabling you to retrieve it.We are hoping to raise awareness so that anyone who sees the unique floating device, will either pull up the equipment or report it's location. That way everybody can do their part keeping the oceans cleaner and stop the unnecessary killing of sea life.

Otivio’s main product, FlowOx™, is addressing chronic wounds with focus on peripheral arterial disease (PAD), which is a serious condition leading to pain, chronic wounds and in many cases amputation and mortality. The patient population is very large and increasing. There are limited adequate treatment options offered to the patients aside from surgical interventions. FlowOx™ is a non-invasive product intended for home use. Long-term patient testing in more than 50 patients documents increased blood flow, reduced pain and wound healing. FlowOx™ is CE marked. In fourth quarter 2017 had its commercial break-through through sales of FlowOx to public customers.

Gruten is an Oslo-based company that creates new value and meaning from coffee waste. We use coffee grounds in the production of soap and body scrub, and run an educational program with lectures, courses, and workshops to create awareness and knowledge about coffee grounds as a valuable resource.  We have a small production/workshop/outlet at Torshov, and sell our products on our own webshop + in ca 35 stores around Oslo and the rest of Norway. At the moment we are working hard to set up a site for mushroom production, growing oyster mushrooms on coffee grounds. When we get a go-ahead for this we will be in demand for funding to set up the production site (we will be growing in used cooling containers, so-called reefers) and need people to work on the site.

Vi er tre unge og ambisøse gründere som i fjor vår fikk en idé om å bygge og drifte et floatingsenter i Trondheim. Siden den gang har ballen rullet i økende tempo, og iløpet av høsten står Bare Flyt floatingssenter klart for å gi trønderne et svært godt tilbud innenfor floating therapy. På veien mot åpning har vi fått Rosenborgspiller og ex-landslagsspiller Alexander Søderlund med på teamet. Hva er floating?I floatingtanken flyter du i kroppstemperert vann, og du kjenner ikke hvor vannet begynner og kroppen slutter. Store mengder epsomsalt gjør at du flyter som en kork i vannet, på samme måte som i Dødehavet. Kombinasjonen av vektløshet, kroppstempererte omgivelser og fullstendig isolasjon fra omverdens impulser gjør at hjernen kobler ut sin overlevelsesmekanisme, også kalt «fight or flight mode».
