Design Matters

Design Matters is a Copenhagen-based company developing educational content for digital designers and organising international conferences about digital design (Copenhagen, Tokyo, Mexico City, Lagos, Singapore). It's a place where creatives gather together, share ideas, and discuss experiences. Design Matters involves a knowledgeable community of creative and curious minds who share the same drive and passion for digital design, technology, art, and society. Since 2015, Design Matters has been sharing stories about new movements in design, giving inspiration to designers from all over the world, growing each year and reaching 1000+ participants in 2019. In January 2020, Design Matters landed in Tokyo for the first time. In 2023, Design Matters hosted its first edition in Latin America, in Mexico City, and its first edition in Africa, in Lagos. In 2024 Design Matters is turning 10 and it's hosting an event in Singapore as part of the Singapore Design Week. Since 2020, all Design Matters events have been hybrid - both online and in-person. The Design Matters community has grown so much in the last few years that it has prompted us to expand our events even more internationally and to seek new members of our team. Fitty Murmel

We are building a health and wellness service called Fitty Murmel. The goal of the service is to motivate people to exercise with the help of gentle gamification. The story: Once, Fitty Murmel was seen everyday on local outdoor gyms and running tracks, but now he has lost his motivation to exercise. He needs a training buddy! Could it be you? As you can hear, Fitty Murmel has the lack of motivation to exercise as many people do. Together with Fitty Murmel the user will hopefully find their way back to the track! We are making exercising fun and effortless. We offer the user a mobile app that they can use to compete against Fitty Murmel AI. After beating the AI, users have the chance to challenge their friends. Every user exercises on their own level. Users have the possibility to beat their friends by beating their own own records. We want to offer everyone an easy and dynamic way to exercise with dynamic goals and relaxed invironment. We are going to launch the app later this year for iOS and Android. We are a professional 2-headed team and we love what we do. We are looking for some one who would take better care of our customers and growth that we could concentrate on what we are best at.

Vi er en konsulentvirksomhed bestående af eksperter indenfor Microsofts førende Business Intelligence værktøjer såsom Power BI, der hjælper virksomheder med at foretage mere præcise, datadrevne beslutninger. Det gør vi bl.a. ved at udlede brugbare indsigter fra virksomheders data, som giver optimal grobund for bedre og mere faktabaseret beslutningstagning. På denne måde tror vi på, at overskuelige processer og data = mere overskud for virksomheder til at fokusere på deres kerneværdier og -kompetencer. Vi er stiftet i 2021 af to passionerede specialister, Andreas og Thomas, som har mange års erfaring indenfor Business Intelligence, databehandling og procesoptimering, hvilket de har ført videre ind i Mind Your Business. Siden er der kommet flere til, og fra september i 2021 har vi 6 ansatte i virksomheden. Æren for denne vækst tilegner vi til vores interne samarbejde blandt kollegaer, vores gode netværk og det faktum, at vi gør en dyd ud af at være en pålidelig samarbejdspartner, som tilbyder skræddersyede løsninger og hjælper virksomheder hele vejen. CabiBUS Sustainable Mobility AB

Developing the best 1-100km sustainable public transportation service. CabiBUS Sustainable Mobility AB develop an autonomous electric minibus and system for sustainable, on demand, door-to-door, safe, secure, economic and efficient public transportation, parcel delivery and recycling collection. The minibus will have a unique patented design with separate cabins for each passenger, offering a comfortable and secure travel for all types of passengers. It solves the problem with fear of sharing rides with strangers or sending children to school or activities in a minibus without a driver. It also solves the problem with risk for viruses and infections in public transportation since each cabin have fresh air supply with selectable temperature and UV-C light disinfection when a cabin is empty. In case of an accident, each passenger is protected in the rigid cabin with airbags and air curtains all around, not possible in vehicles with open interiors. Between the cabins there is a strong framework that makes the vehicle withstand impacts from all sides, also only possible with this solution. In evenings and weekend, when people are at home and it is less demand for person transportation, cabins in some of the vehicles are exchanged with parcel box cabins and used for silent and fossil free e-commerce distribution and recycling collection. Several business models are possible. - The designs and patents can be licensed to vehicle manufacturers in different parts of the world. - Vehicles are manufactured and sold mobility operators. - Vehicles are manufactured and used by the company as a Robotaxi mobility operator. Autonomous mobility services are predicted to become the major mode of transportation and CabiBUS can become a unicorn in this field within 5 years. We're an in-house startup backed by one of Norway’s fastest growing companies; Elektroimportøren, a wholesaler of electrical equipment who disrupted their industry by selling directly to end consumers both online and in over 20 retail stores across Norway. Working as a startup and building on our parent company’s strengths and infrastructure has enabled us to scale fast and make our service available to over 70% of Norwegian households. The Problem Our research show that people feel stress just thinking about hiring an electrician and that many struggle to even get started. The main reason being that they don’t know who to contact and what it will cost them to get the job done. But they are also worried because of stories they hear of poor results or misleading prices leading to surprises when the invoice arrives. As a consequence they’ll ask friends or family for recommendations to avoid making the wrong choice. Lack of trust and clarity around pricing creates uncertainty and often leads people to postpone contacting an electrician until absolutely necessary. They learn to live with suboptimal solutions because getting the job done requires too much effort. This way our customers don’t need to spend time finding a trustworthy electrician and can feel safe knowing the job will be done by qualified professionals. 04 When it Suits You We’ve built a scheduling system from scratch that allows our customers to choose when they want the job done. They simply pick a time and date in our digital calendar and the job is automatically delegated to one of our electricians in the area. 05 Efficient installation We’ve utilised the retail stores across the country to streamline logistics and make installations efficient.
