At Banana, we produce ice cream, bread and sweets from "ugly", ripe, organic bananas. Bananas that would otherwise be discarded because of looks or being ‘overripe’. But those bananas are the nerve of Banana Cph . They are ripe, sweet and form the perfect base for our ice cream, bread and sweets. Bananas are one of the most wasted foods in the world. Early in the value chain with the farmers, a staggering 40% is discarded due to appearance alone. Not to mention during transport and in the supermarkets, where millions of bananas are thrown out every day, because of looks and ripeness. A huge contrast to what the world is calling for. And what consumers are calling for. In Banana, we think circularly, sustainably, and uncompromisingly. That is the core of our DNA. We produce products that speak to both taste and conscience. Although society aims at replacing fossil resources with sustainable, renewable alternatives, the production of many materials like plastics and rubbers are still very dependent on fossil fuels. To replace petrol-based rubbers in consumer products, we developed a process to transform birch bark, an abundant residue of the global forestry industry, into the novel biomaterial, Reselo Rubber. Based on a comprehensive material characterisation and encouraging feedback from customers we believe that Reselo Rubber has great potential to replace fossil-derived rubbers in applications like footwear, protective gear, playground flooring and toys.

Grossisten Gro-inde ApS has become a melting pot of several branches. 1) We sell equipment for planting and maintaining plants to every green (and not-so-green) thumb. 2) We repackage Big Bags of perlite and vermiculite (also used for plants) and send them out to big companies that redistribute and sell them. 3) We deliver different types of services to customers. A dedicated and ever-expanding team of workers deals with assignments like cleaning apartments, construction work, clearing overgrown gardens, and much more. When Gro-inde started, there was a need for more variety in how people kept plants. So we began by selling equipment for plants' hydroponic, aeroponic, and aquaponic cultivation. CEO Cristina Melgarejo is our go-to plant and equipment expert. She founded the company in 2016 with a vision that everyone should be able to find alternate ways of keeping plants without it breaking their wallet. Now in 2023, we are a company with over ten employees. We have a physical shop, an office space, a production line, and a webshop, and we have an online presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
