Hundreds of thousands of movies and television series are released every year to the joy of local audiences, but to the annoyance of global audiences who have to wait a long time before these are available in their country. This is because distributors need to take them through an intensive and complex compliance check for every market before they distribute. Our company, Visualyst, is helping publishers get more movies and series cleared for distribution to consumers faster using artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Oncoinvent AS

Oncoinvent AS is a privately held Norwegian company established in 2010. The company is committed to developing new innovative products to provide better treatment options to cancer patients. The innovations being developed by Oncoinvent AS are a result of the extensive experience with the development of radionuclide-based cancer treatments of two of the founders, Dr. Roy H. Larsen and Professor of clinical oncology Øyvind S. Bruland. Larsen and Bruland are the inventors of the first FDA and EMA-approved alpha-emitting pharmaceutical product XofigoŽ (Bayer AG), as well as of the beta-emitting radio-immunotherapeutic product candidate BetalutinŽ (Nordic Nanovector ASA). Oncoinvent's lead product candidate, RadspherinŽ, is a novel alpha-emitting radioactive microsphere designed for the treatment of metastatic cancers in body cavities. RadspherinŽ has been shown to cause a significant reduction in tumor cell growth. It is anticipated that the product can potentially treat several forms of metastatic cancer. The first clinical indication for RadspherinŽ will be the treatment of peritoneal carcinomatosis. Clinical development will be conducted in collaboration with European and American clinical research centers.

NEC OncoImmunity AS

OncoImmunity is a bioinformatics company providing unique machine-learning software to identify tumor-specific mutations that can be targeted by a patient’s own immune system (known as neoantigens). The OncoImmunity solution is important because recent breakthroughs in the field of Immuno-Oncology (I-O) such as the development of checkpoint inhibitors and personalized cancer vaccines, clearly demonstrate that a patient’s immune system can be harnessed to successfully treat cancer. The cost of identifying tumor-specific mutations in a patient’s cancer using next-generation sequencing (NGS) is now trivial and this technology will be key to enabling truly personalized immunotherapies to be developed in a technically and economically feasible manner. However, the remaining challenge that currently limits the field, and which is addressed by the OncoImmunity solution, is predicting which tumor-specific mutations can stimulate a patient’s immune system i.e. are immunogenic. Using NGS data as input, the OncoImmunity software enables accurate patient selection for cancer immunotherapy and can identify optimal targets for personalized cancer vaccines & cell therapies in a clinically actionable time frame. Beginning from this first product offering, OncoImmunity has the vision to become the world’s leading provider of software to guide cancer immunotherapy to improve survival rates for cancer patients. To achieve this OncoImmunity has assembled a growing team of world-class bioinformaticians, data scientists, and software engineers; developing its cutting-edge machine-learning technology that will help fulfill the promise of immunotherapy in the fight against cancer. OncoImmunity’s technology will disrupt the I-O field by offering regulatory-compliant prediction software on a software-as-a-service basis (SaaS). This will allow big pharma, biotechnology, and immunotherapy companies of any size to access OncoImmunity’s cutting-edge prediction software. The company is headquartered in an ideal scientific and entrepreneurial ecosystem to develop its technology at the Oslo Cancer Cluster Incubator; adjacent to the Institute for Cancer Research and the Norwegian Radium Hospital. OncoImmunity is a privately held company, founded in 2014 by experienced bioinformatics scientists (Dr. Trevor Clancy and Professor Eivind Hovig), and an experienced immunologist with a business development background (Dr. Richard Stratford). The company is backed by private financing from the Norwegian Radium Hospital Research Foundation, the Norwegian Cancer Society, STARTUPLAB, and Grotmol Solutions, in addition to a number of private software investors. The company is also supported by grants awarded from the Norwegian Research Council, Innovation Norway, and the EU. The company has already established both national and international collaborations and pilot projects to develop further proof-of-concept data and validate its software.

Dynamisk Helse AS

The founder of Dynamisk Helse, Ann-Kristin Johansen, worked for several years as a nurse in hospitals and elderly care organizations. She experienced first-hand the lack of proper training which sometimes led to negative incidences for the patients as well as the staff. Sometimes the result had devastating outcomes, with a person's life at risk. Ann-Kristin felt sad and angry and felt the need to personally take action. This resulted in the foundation of Dynamisk Helse AS in 2011. We believe in small drops of theoretical and practical case-specific training, tailored naturally into our daily work. As there was no software platform available we felt was appropriate, we made it ourselves. Starting with making the “Drops first aid” app, which received fantastic feedback around the globe. (still available in Appstore) After this first test of response, we continued developing our own philosophy into a software platform that exceeds normal standards today. With limitless scalability and access on all digital surfaces. The number of elderly and inhabitants with chronic diseases, is going to double within ten years, resulting in dramatic demand for qualified healthcare workers. The leaders in healthcare struggle with high turnover and a shortage of both time and recourses to train the temps. Drops smartphone solution gives access to short and precise information about what to do when they need it, by scanning a QR code. Our Drops Skill aid system enables healthcare leaders to support staff in day-to-day tasks. We save costs for our customers, and provide a better service for patients, while we support care workers in building their skills and confidence.
