For the group, sighted guides are a prerequisite for engaging in sports, but the process of recruiting guides is burdensome, leading to the group missing out on sports, with adverse physical and mental health effects as a result. Move United is a social community platform, that connects persons with a visual impairment to sighted volunteers for a brisk walk, a 10 km run or a session in the local gym.

Everyone who wants to contribute are inviter to take part, but we each take responsibility of the things we find most interesting. It’s a wealth of freedom but it also requires courage, discipline, and a positive attitude.We’re a sporty group and like to stay active. Whether you’re into bikini, running, swimming, fitness, football, badminton, squash, paddle tennis, or any other sport, we’re happy to go and have fun with it together. This doesn’t exclude us from having the celebratory beer once in a while when we achieve some of our milestones - even though many think completing an Ironman requires a 100% clean diet and full focus on training (which is not necessarily the case, we eat homemade pizza and watch movies every Sunday everning!). We’re open, free, happy and positive.
