Poikilingo

Poikilingo is developing a language learning app for small children (2 - 6 years old), where social and cultural awareness are at the heart of our concept. Our program focuses on the cultural aspects of the language being learned, as we believe that cracking the social code is as important as learning vocabulary and pronunciation. This promotes a sense of belonging which will positively impact the child's learning process. Each child is unique, so each of them deserves a study program that takes into consideration their peculiarities. The customized study plan that childre get at Poikilingo mixes activities, videos, songs and games, and if the child makes mistakes, she gets feedback in her native tongue. We follow a consolidated learning approach that teaches different subjects through the language, all created by educational experts and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. But the game-changing experience that Poikilingo brings into the market is based on animated stories where an avatar of the child goes through everyday situations that children go through, including when they move to a new country and have to start into a new kindergarten.

Karma Mobil AB

Karma Mobil AB is a new mobile operator on the Swedish market. Our mission is to make digital life easier for those who needs it the most. Our target group is people who because of age or other reasons feel uncomfortable to use digital solutions or are unaware of the aids that exists. The purpose with Karma Mobil is to enlighten our target group of the possibilities and assist them in becoming more digital. By doing this we will help them, and their families, to make day-to-day activities simpler. Karma Mobil’s offer consists of a mobile subscription packaged with a number of add-on services. To make senior citizens feel more comfortable being digital, we include a service for ID protection. With the ID protection, the customer gets for example notified and assistance if their social security number, bank account, credit card or e-mail address is fraudulently used online. We offer this solution together with our partner MinUC which we have an exclusive agreement with. Apart from the ID protection service, Karma Mobil AB are in discussions with other possible partner companies who provide different solutions for people with special needs. The solutions varies but common for them is that they bring support for individuals and the families. One example is to keep contact and plan for day-to-day activities over a digital platform. In addition to the digital to digital services, we also offer our customers a blog where topics in relation to our target group is covered. By this, our customers can get insight and inspiration to become more active – both digitally and in “real life”. Karma Mobil has also signed up with a couple of partners with discounts and offers specifically for our target group. The purpose of this is to create a feeling of community and recognition for our target group. As a new player on the Swedish telco market, we focus on a target group that does not get much attention. Instead of marketing Karma as “cheap” and “easy” (even if we are) our message is that we care. We show this to our customer by having competitive rates and subscriptions that includes something else than just the ordinary mobile services. We also show that we care by having a staffed support organisation which can be reached by phone, chat or social media. We are on a journey from being brand new on the market, unknown to anyone to become the obvious Mobile operator for those who appreciate extra care.

Statistics show that approximately 90 percent of paper receipts end up in the trash can. Most people part ways with their receipts shortly after collection, and many others can’t remember where they kept it if they did at all. Paper receipts contain BPA or Bisphenol A, a plastic component which is harmful for the health and cannot be recycle, in addition to this the environmental impact of its production, where in Europe, over 13 million trees and 17 billion gallons of water are consumed each year in the creation of paper receipts, generating 2.500 billion tons of waste and 4 billion tons of CO2. Vaquita Technologies aims to revolutionize the current market of water quality measuring devices by introducing a modular device that can be adapted to different client needs (ex. setting different parameters, such as ‘pH’ or ‘turbidity’) worldwide. Since our device is constructed from durable and biodegradable materials, it can be applied everywhere - in lakes, rivers, or seaside - and does not pollute the environment. We are an award-winning TravelTech/ CultureTech start-up offering self-guided treasure hunt inspired experiences for attractions and cities to make exploring with 3-10-years-old fun, easy and educative. Our first product is an app with self-guided treasure hunt inspired city tours, wrapped into a story of a friendly alien girl called Skyla and a rescue mission. The missions are spiced with gamification elements and sustainability at kids-level making them fun, engaging and educative at the same time. Skip the whining and "how much longer" nagging and turn frustration and 'wasted' time into family fun. Families can let the kids take the lead and enjoy a great half-day outside exploring and discovering not only the great sights but also hidden gems and lesser known areas. It is a great acitvity for both traveling and local families. Families get full flexibility and convenience. No waiting in line, time schedules or groups. With our treasure hunts families can explore at their own terms and take a break at any point in time. We have proof of business and are generating revenue, with our first paying customers, 5-star user ratings, and great user feedback. We have also won the Scandinavian Business Award 2022 for “Most Family-Friendly City Tour Experience – Denmark” and the European Travel Award for “Best Family-Friendly Copenhagen Tour Operator 2022”. We have established the first B2B partnership with a museum. We are looking to scale our concept to the B2B market through strategic direct sales and the B2C by developing a creator mode - a platform to allow users to add and curate more treasure hunts without the necessity of coding.

As the world of work changes, its mission is to guide, empower and inspire people to start their own business anywhere. Founded by Sissel Hansen in 2014, Startup Guide today has books in over 30 cities in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the US, including Copenhagen, London, Tel Aviv and New York. In autumn 2018, the company launched a media website, startupguide.com, which was born out of the desire to explore different types of content and reach a wider audience by taking advantage of the digital medium. At the core of Startup Guide’s three physical stores in Berlin, Copenhagen and Lisbon are the belief that there’s nothing like real-life experiences and seeing and feeling actual products.
