Alvar Pet is a Helsinki-based startup on a mission to minimise the carbon pawprint. Dog ownership is rapidly growing – this year, there are more puppies born in Finland than babies. Dogs have become our family members, and we are ready to invest in them: the money spent in pets has more than doubled within the last decade. We worry about where the pet industry is heading. Dogs are pampered with more and more stuff, and fed with meatier food than necessary. Opulence doesn’t make a dog any happier, and the overconsumption happens at the expense of the environment. Pups bring so much joy to our everyday. That’s why owning a dog should not be a choice against the climate – and that’s why we founded Alvar. We founded Alvar to joint together the growing popularity of pets and the growing popularity of eco-aware lifestyles. We do it by offering (easy for customers, need-based for dogs, impactful for environment) sustainable solutions to conscious pup owners.

Training programs created by some of Sweden's best dog trainers help the user better understand and train their four legged family member. We even offer personal feedback and guidance from our in house dog trainers, to help the user succeed. OrderBuddy is a digital menu platform that helps dining places to an efficient and quick order flow without getting annoyed customers. We have all been out in a dining situation where the waiters are too busy to get to you, and it takes the fun away from being there with friends and family. What if you could just order and pay, have fun with the people you are there with, and then wait to get served. After you're done, you can order more, or leave the place without getting the waiter one more time. OrderBuddy is an ordering system, where guests can place and pay their orders directly from the table on their own phones. No need to install anything, just scan the QR code on the table, or go to the webpage and find the dining place, add items to the cart and pay. The order goes directly to the kitchen or bar. The idea for OrderBuddy of course started when I was out dining with some friends. The place was busy, and we actually wanted to order a new round of beer to the table, however the waiters were too busy elsewhere, and when we finally got a hold of the waiter we decided to just pay. The restaurant lost revenue and ended up with customers who had a bad experience.

ElastiSense has developed a portfolio of unique sensor solutions for industrial applications helping its client in their digitalization journey. Assets unplanned downtime is one of the largest challenges across industrial segments causing, in average 1 million USD, revenue loss per incident. Over 80% of the customers experience unplanned downtime, and a similar number believes that digitalization is the tool to minimize this problem. Therefore 55% have or plan to invest in digitalization tools to enable predictive maintenance and better assets monitoring and control. Digital tools like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Digital Twins are designed to facilitate the above. However, they all need data from the assets which must be collected by sensors. Sensors and sensorization of assets are therefore the first part of customers digitalization journey. Available sensor solutions, especially displacement measuring sensors, are historically designed for well-controlled and clean environment like manufacturing industry. They inherent design therefore limits their use in aggressive applications. Therefore, the search for new displacement sensors have never been higher. We are the first who have developed and matured industrial displacement sensors primarily made of rubber material. Thanks to their resilience against mechanical and environmental aggressions, these sensors can sensorized even the most aggressive applications in the field. These sensors can be mounted e.g. on a mining machine, or a bridge or tunnel, on a aggressive manufacturing machine and generate data and information about the moving parts of the machines which breaks most often and therefore in crucial need of monitoring. The founders of ElastiSense are all former employees of Danfoss and have been involved on magnitude of projects where they again and again could see the problem. The founder finally took the leap to start up ElastiSense when they received an enquiry from Grundfos on digitalizing their production line with this new technology. Since then the team have succeeded to introduce the product to multitude of markets verticals.

Vebu is a plant-based startup in Aarhus, Denmark. Our goal is to provide healthy and convenient plant-based products that don't try to imitate meat. We want to offer restaurants, canteens, and catering services something they can easily add to their existing menus while satisfying consumer demand for diverse food types.
