Kihleo

Kihleo is a medtech startup developing an early warning system for urinary tract infections in older people with incontinence receiving care at home or in nursing homes. UTIs are one of the most common reasons for acute deterioration, confusion, and hospitalisation in this group. They are challenging to detect early, because symptoms are often vague, many older people cannot clearly communicate discomfort, and home care staff and nurses have minimal time. Today, detection is primarily reactive. Staff notice that something is wrong, then order urine tests and start treatment when the infection is already well underway. This leads to unnecessary suffering, avoidable admissions, and a high use of antibiotics. Kihleo’s solution is a small sensor placed in the diaper that measures biomarkers in the urine every time the person voids. When the diaper is changed, the sensor is read, and data is sent to a secure backend. Algorithms and predictive models analyse patterns over time and provide early, trustworthy indications that an infection may be developing, days before clinical symptoms are usually recognised. The system is not a diagnostic tool. It is a decision-support and early-warning system that integrates into existing workflows and helps staff decide when to look more closely, consult a nurse or doctor, and perform standard diagnostic tests. The value is threefold. For older people, it means faster and more targeted treatment, fewer severe infections, less confusion, and a better day-to-day quality of life. For relatives and care staff, it provides reassurance, objective data, and more time for actual care rather than crisis management. For the public sector, it helps prevent avoidable hospitalisations and complications that are both expensive and resource-intensive. Kihleo is working with a hardware partner on sensor development and is already in dialogue with Danish municipalities about pilot projects. The long-term vision is to create a scalable, data-driven platform for early detection of infections and other complications in elderly care, using everyday materials like diapers as non-invasive data sources.

Optagonen AB is a Sweden-based creative education company helping schools strengthen students’ confidence, creativity and communication skills through modern workshops in music, storytelling and AI-driven learning. Traditional school environments often struggle to engage students with formats that feel relevant today. Many young people lack confidence in expressing themselves, and teachers have limited time and tools to support creative development. CYKELKOKKEN

CYKELKOKKEN creates gastronomic bike tours in and around Copenhagen. We specialize in offering guests a truly unique dining experience in the company of a cycling chef. During each tour, we serve a five-course meal at selected locations – all from our custom-designed kitchen bike, which also serves as the central hub of the tour. The rhythm of the city, combined with our passion for finding the best local ingredients, makes each of our tours a complete experience. We are now looking for two interns to join our team and help develop, plan, and carry out these experiences – both behind the scenes and out on the streets. From August to October, we offer two internship opportunities: one working with our chefs and one in our communications team.

We’re building the next-generation wearable for dogs — a lightweight, long-battery-life device that helps pet owners optimize their dog’s daily health through tracking activity, sleep, and location. Vores mål er at hjælpe både private aktører og offentlige myndigheder med at effektivisere deres processer gennem præcis registrering, prøvetagning og afrapportering. Vores løsninger gør det nemt for kunderne at overholde lovgivning og bidrage til et bedre arbejdsmiljø. I Milva er vi ved at revolutionere måden, man dokumenterer materialer og eksisterende ejendomme på. Med vores software, Milva, har vi vendt hele processen på hovedet og omdanner en eksisterende bygning til en minedrift frem for den bunke affald, som det oftest opfattes i dag. I processen nedsætter vi tidsforbruget, standardiserer data og automatiserer afrapporteringen for lovpligtige processer. Den korte version er, at vi med vores digitale værktøj i hånden under en fysisk inspektion af huset kan finde ud af, præcist hvad det indeholder af materialer, miljørisiko og muligheder. En Milva-rapport bliver beriget med en masse ekstra data og udregninger, på baggrund af de informationer, som der er indsamlet på matriklen. Informationer som enten er lovpligtige, nødvendige eller snart bliver det. Det er mega smart, hvis vi selv skal sige det, at automatisere tidskrævende skrivebordsopgaver og standardisere dataformatet. Alle aktørerne i byggebranchen, de offentlige instanser og endda civilsamfundet har interesse i den data vi dagligt indsamler og behandler. Denne information kan vi bruge til at optimere logistiklinier, projektøkonomier, arbejdsmiljø, forsyningssikkerhed, affaldsstatistikker og meget, meget mere på sigt. Vi har fundet en lille niche som ingen andre udvikler digitalt, men som alle har interesse i. Nogle vil endda kalde det fundamentalt for udviklingen af fremtidens digitale byggeindustri. Men hvis vi skal være helt ærlige, så er det de økonomiske besparelser og effektiv compliance vores kunder oplever i dag, der er den primære årsag til væksten på vores SaaS.
