Intestinal flora analysis, also called microbiome analysis, is a technique used to study the microorganisms that live in our intestines. Our gut flora consists of an enormous amount of microorganisms, mainly bacteria, but also viruses, fungi and protozoa. Together, these microorganisms form our microbiome, which is an important part of our health and well-being.
