vCare Denmark

vCare Denmark is developing telemedicine software to help chronic patients get best possible care and quality of life using patient engagement, motivation and empowerment. We aim to improve care and disease management, and reduce hospitalisation rates for high-risk patients. The ambition is to increase access to healthcare for patients who face barriers such as distance, transportation, or caretaker availability giving equal access to healthcare services for all.

The Curated is an online dtc fashion label focusing on sustainable luxury for the modern woman. We work with left over fabrics, certified suppliers and ethically audited factories to create limited runs of classic staples. We have an honest pricing policy in order to make luxury quality affordable.

Maka

Maka is a designer of premium quality bags, clothing, boards, and apparel for skaters currently launching worldwide with our first two products; water-resistant skateboard bags in two unique designs that make transporting your board 100x easier. Who is behind Maka? Maka is driven by a dedicated team in Medellín, Colombia. Maka is the brainchild of two skaters; Diego Pineda (CEO) and Jorge Calle (Lead Designer). Diego was born in Colombia but fled to Arizona, USA, with his family in 1999 due to violence. He picked up skating immediately and would go on to work for skate shops and tour the country with a team. He returned in 2008 to study International Business, although he never put down his board, certain that he would find a way to make a living out of skating. Jorge was born in raised in a small ghetto in Medellín, Colombia. While many of his friends found their way into drugs and violence, Jorge found his way forward in life either on top of a skateboard or behind a sewing machine. His true passion is to create without limits, to try, to fail, and to try again until he’s created the best there possibly could be. So Diego, why did you start Maka? I live a pretty simple life philosophy; I do what I enjoy doing. However, like everyone (especially skaters), it can be hard to do what you really enjoy and pay the bills. I’ve always looked up to the skate culture for inspiration ever since I started to understand it – the style, the clothes, the street, the attitude to be against the norm of society… It’s a close-knit community, although it’s an individual activity. You don’t need a team to be able to skate. It’s a way of self-expression, and that, for me, is the starting point of it all. What is the ambition of Maka? There are not many cultures that truly accept everyone. Skateboarding does. White, black, green, yellow, purple, tall, short, weird, funny, cool – everyone is accepted because it’s about your individuality. For the majority of my life, most of the people I’ve met come from skateboarding. It all comes down to having fun. Learning, falling, and getting back up. So, why does all of this relate to ambition? Because, while we’re taking the brand worldwide, we also want to seize the opportunity to support more kids with what skating has given us; a way to express ourselves, a sense of purpose, and life-long friends. Skating made our lives what they are, and now it’s time to give back. 10% of all profits go towards supporting social causes here in the city of Medellín. Our technology streamlines processes and workflows, enabling investors to engage with companies more efficiently. Ultimately, we aim to empower investors to drive better outcomes for their clients and society at large.

PANTER

Replacing single-use food containers with packaging-as-a-service. For the environment and everyone. Did you know? Packaging for food and beverages are among the most common litter in towns and parks, as well as at beaches. Current recycling rates are poor (~8-9%) in Sweden and globally and 90% of the recycled plastics are exported to developing countries. It's time for a change! PANTER offers a reusable lunch box and coffee cup for restaurants, cafés and catering. According to the Directive on single-use plastics (2019) all EU countries are required to "Take measures to reduce the consumption of drinking cups including covers and lids, and containers for prepared food" Which means that in Sweden: Ban on disposable cups containing more than 10% plastic Mandatory to offer the drink or food in a reusable cup or lunch box from 2024 The restaurants we have interviewed want to get started! Why? – Increased customer loyalty – Brand that’s not associated with waste – Opportunity to promote sustainability - Lower costs for packaging

Greenphones

Greenphones provides an end to end solution for to extend the lifetime of mobile phones and tablets. Through the provision of a simple user friendly interface allowing private individuals to trade-in their used phones where the value can either be used for the purchase of an upgraded phone or paid out in cash. We saw a clear need in the market to help the consumer and at the same time reduce the number of new mobiles being introduced into the market. As such for each and every new mobile 'not sold' sold in the market, we reduce the CO2 footprint by approximately 55kg. We estimate that we can extend the lifetime of any mobile between 250% and 300% Inspiration for your startup description There are other firms selling used mobile/tablets, but very few that offer the level of service trade-in value. The founders who previously worked with used IT equipment saw that the used mobile market was also in need of a solution. Greenphones has a number of strategies to expand beyond the core business to enhance the circular economy and is constantly in search of ways to support climate initiatives.

I Siffer jobber vi hardt for å levere revolusjonerende teknologi til regnskapsførere. Siden stiftelse i 2019 har vi sammen med regnskapsbyråer laget og lansert vårt regnskapssystem. GreenSafe

We all need to eat more fruits an vegetables for the sake of environment, climate and health. But the good, green stuff takes up a lot more space in the fridge - especially if you have meal boxes delivered. The result is a lack of overview (what's the slimy stuff at the back of the veggie drawer??), less practical ways to store the food and in the end food waste. We cannot defend production of even more refrigerators, nor is it clever to setup an old, less energy efficient fridge in the garage. GreenSafe is the solution: a new way to store fruit and veggies just outside you door. Designed with respect for the environment, resources and you.

FISHBY

Fishby is a recreational sport fishings industry's very own "Google". Through our platform, a fisherman can buy ANY fishing permit in Norway (for now), even those that don't exist yet. The best thing is that we can do it WITHOUT needing the landowner/permit seller to pre-register on the platform or even know about us. It is a trading channel between the fisherman and landowner, and It is as simple as sending a "friend`s request" on Facebook. However, here you are not making friends, you are asking people if you are allowed to fish on their land and for what price.

JoDis Shoes

JoDis Shoes is a Danish based business, established in 2016, but our team comes with more than 20 years of experience with designing and producing fashionable, quality shoes. This then also means that we, in all humbleness, are quite skilled at crafting shoes with a perfect fit for your feet. This is reflected in an extremely high customer satisfaction. We have a very low return rate, compared to the industry average, whilst the customer feedback is that the shoes they order, also fit when they wear them for the first time. The fashion industry experience is that for web shops, the vast majority of the goods are returned. Our experience is the opposite with our products. We produce shoes, fitting the times we find ourselves in, based on the virtues and trends defined by our own customers. In practice, this means that our shoes are in fact designed by our customers - spanning from trendsetters, influencers to your general society women, curious to collaborate with us. In 2021 this means that first of all, our shoes are developed on sustainability principles, and next they must reflect a self conscious, accessible and independent women. Shoes that matches the life you want to live, where you easily jump from pumps to boots, from feeling trendy to feeling natural. Sustainable production methods are natural ingredients of our strategy, and hence part of our foundation. At JoDis we do our outmost to think and act in a sustainable conscious manor at all levels of the supply chain, and thus play an active role in the wellbeing of our planet.

Skole

Skole offers students an app to discuss study-related matters anonymously and and to share their study materials publicly with ease. We are solving the problem of student communities being closed and full of inner circles. This is a global problem that affects all students world wide. We solve this issue by bringing students together and removing the barriers of free and open communication. Our product offers a way for students to discuss openly and with a low threshold. In Skole, students are rewarded for sharing their study materials publicly as well as for commenting them. We noticed the problem originally in our own studies and that is why we wanted to build something in order to fix it. We are doing this, because we want to help millions of other students with this very same issue.

Meebook

Meebook er Danmarks største læringsplatform og bruges af halvdelen af landets skoler. Vi hjælper lærere med at planlægge deres undervisning, arbejde sammen og videndele. Vores mission er ikke at kæmpe for digitaliseringen generelt. Vi har alle børn, og vi ønsker, at de skal gå i en skole, hvor man taler, synger, tegner og ved, hvordan en lineal føles i hånden. Vores største frygt er at komme ud på en skole om fem år og se alle eleverne sidde og kigge ind i Meebook. Vores vision er at favne de muligheder, it skaber, og med det udvikle et didaktisk værktøj, et samarbejdsværktøj og et værktøj til videndeling, som giver mening for den enkelte lærer og hele tiden forholder sig til den virkelighed, læreren arbejder i. Vores platform skal være et sted, hvor lærere, skoler og kommuner kan bedrive den læring, den undervisning og det samarbejde, som de synes passer bedst.
