There is a great need for immediate climate action with tools to mobilize financing for transition to a low-carbon economy and the need grows more urgent by the day. To achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, the global community needs to reach net-zero emissions by no later than 2050. The voluntary carbon market has the potential to significantly accelerate efforts to mitigate climate change and achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement. Investments needed for scaling emerging low-carbon technologies do not meet the risk and return expectations of today’s markets. An effective and adaptable carbon market can facilitate capital flows to these technologies through carbon offsetting mechanisms established on the principles that emerged in initiatives such as Clean Development Mechanism. Carbon credits enable organizations to compensate for emissions by financing the avoidance/reduction of emissions from other sources, or removal of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere and thus contribute to the transition to global net-zero. Carbon credits also support emerging climate technologies and can help scale down costs and introduce these technologies to market earlier by decreasing additional costs against carbon-intensive alternatives. It is thus crucial to identify and support new and expensive technology and to help finance and deploying these solutions now, so that economic development can continue in countries across the world, including those rapidly industrializing today

Lumi Docs is an AI-powered platform designed to help MedTech companies get new products to market faster, with less risk and cost. Our secret sauce? We analyse the massive pile of documents needed for CE marking, pinpoint any non-conformities, and suggest ways to fix them. LumiDocs is founded by experienced entrepreneurs, two of whom experienced the difficulty of developing compliant technical documentation, getting a slot with a responsive notified body, and the dire consequences of notified bodies flagging detailed non-conformities. As a response to issues with expensive consultants, Niklas and Mathias turned to developing an internal system for using LLMs to develop the documentation and obtain the company’s first medical device certification. Our team has combined 15 years of experience as founders and entrepreneurs, collectively raised more than 60M dkk, led teams of +20 people, scaled revenue for SaaS products targeted at large corporates and experienced with MDR and bringing medical devices to market. NitroVolt is decarbonizing nitrogen-based fertilizer production and making the agricultural sector more resilient with a novel production process. Commercial ammonia production supports 40-50% of the agricultural industry as a nitrogen-based fertilizer. But current ammonia production is not sustainable, releasing over 1% of global greenhouse gas emissions during production facilities and further emissions during transportation to the end user, farmers. NitroVolt offers a local ammonia production solution that gives farmers the ability to produce their own nitrogen-based fertilizer. The only inputs required by NitroVolt’s container-sized systems are air, water, and electricity, enabling production of sustainable ammonia directly at farms. NitroVolt’s patented electrochemical Nitrolyzer unit can make ammonia on-demand with intermittent renewable energy sources. With their technology, NitroVolt aims to decarbonize nitrogen-based fertilizer production one farm at a time, cut the logistic costs of distributing fertilizer, and make the agricultural sector more resilient to external factors.
