HEKA VR is a medical software platform that enables Avatar-Therapy, a form of psychotherapy, to be conducted in a Virtual Reality or in a Telehealth setting. VR-based Avatar Therapy combines psychology and VR technology to provide transformative interventions for mental health disorders. Grounded in research, this therapy utilises virtual reality and avatars to create immersive experiences. Through the concept of embodiment, individuals psychologically connect with their avatars, leading to significant changes in thoughts and behaviours. In schizophrenia, Avatar Therapy helps patients gain control over auditory hallucinations, but Avatar Therapy holds promise for improving mental health outcomes among patients with Eating Disorders, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, Borderline disorder, Major Depressive Disorder and many more. Heka VR was born through a public-private partnership and research project called The Challenge Trial - initiated in 2019, funded by the Danish Innovation Fund and with the final research results published in The Lancet Psychiatry in July 2025. The results show that VR based Avatar-Therapy is a an effective new treatment method for 7/10 patients with treatment resistant Schizophrenia. Currently Heka VR is involved in 10+ clinical trials and studies around the world, from North America to APAC. Vocaire is a startup that focuses on empowering physical therapists with AI technologies. The problem we are solving is that PTs cannot be 100% present during their consultation since they have to focus on administrative work and other tasks. The founders of our startup are previous elite sportsmen who experienced firsthand the inefficiencies of the current system. Physical therapy is a crucial part of the recovery process for many individuals who have experienced injuries or other physical limitations. However, the current system is highly inefficient and often requires PTs to spend a significant amount of time on administrative tasks. For example, PTs may have to spend time scheduling appointments, documenting patient progress, and communicating with other healthcare providers. This leaves less time for PTs to focus on their patients and provide the best possible care. At Vocaire, we believe that technology can help alleviate this problem. By leveraging AI and other advanced technologies, we aim to streamline administrative tasks and give PTs more time to focus on their patients. About BELLA Intelligence BELLAINTEL is a legal insolvency case management tool which was created in 2018 by an insolvency lawyer. In 2022, Karnov Group AB. took over BELLA Intelligence 100% as one of their commercial Legal Tech portfolio. The system itself is a cloud-based platform based on the Software as a Service license model. The core service supports daily workflows for handling insolvency cases, included in the service is the hosting of case-related data. Using AI and machine learning, BELLA ( "Bankruptcy Estate Lawyer's Legal Assistant" ) provides estate lawyers with an efficient way of managing bankruptcy cases, from asset management through documentation and task handling. We have a two person development team nearshored, a part-time Solution architect and 3 more colleagues based in our Copenhagen offices, where we are co-located with other startups and Karnov Group. Updropp wants to transform electronic waste into resources. We do this by enabling citizens to get rid of their electronic devices, especially household equipment, in an easy and responsible manner, so they can be sent back into the flow. This is done through our "Uptainers", conveniently placed outdoor drop-off stations. At the Uptainers, citizens are able to place electronics, they no longer use, while running their daily errands. Other citizens can then use the Uptainer to find "new" electronics they can take home and give new life. To support the Uptainers, we are developing an application, that shows an overview of Uptainers and the items placed in them and gives the users statistics showing their personal impact as well as the combined impact. Updropp is a one-person startup, being developed with ongoing help from advisors, collaborators, and interns. We are still in the discovery/product development phase. Right now we have a BETA version of our Uptainer placed at Det Bæredygtige Forsamlingshus, and are using this to gather insight for our 1.0 design of the Uptainer. We expect that to be ready for launch in primo 2024.
