Disputas is a small tech startup based in Oslo. We come from language technology, robotics, and philosophy. On a grant from the Norwegian research council (NFR), we are currently in the process of developing a digital platform for textual analysis in the educational sector. This summer we started developing the core functionality of the platform, and the first module is aimed at argument analysis. Our plan for 2021 is to expand the platform with modules for syntactic analysis of words and sentences, semantic concept analysis, and a module for law studies and juridical case processing. The premise of the project is to design the platform and the various modules in such a way that use generates data of a kind that is applicable for training novel machine learning services in the field of natural language processing (NLP).

Misc Games is a game developer based in Stavanger – Norway, with several collaborators around the world. We make games for PC/Consoles. Misc Games aims at developing unique games for various niche markets. We treat developers like human beings and video games like art rather than toys. Everyone at Misc Games has a strong passionate for video games and that’s why we want to evolve the industry into something better. We want to develop games mostly for the more mature and educated gamers.

Versiro develops software that accelerates the energy transition. Renewable electricity is great for the environment but difficult to plan because its production depends on uncertain weather conditions. Versiro develops an AI copilot that helps renewable producers make smart decisions in real time while considering these uncertainties. This assists the integration of renewable energy and increases its profitability, two key factors to enable the green energy transition. Versiro was founded by researchers at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and follows the observation that, in electric power systems, the traditional pipelines from research to industry are too outdated to keep up with the fast-paced world of machine learning.

Two brothers with a common mission We, Carsten and Knud Erik Petersen, founded IoT Cleaning to ensure more sustainable and climate-friendly buildings. Carsten has worked with technology since he got his first computer at the age of 15: a Commodore 64.
