ICT is a Norwegian technology development company that holds patents designed to bring new opportunities to the cryogenic liquids storage and transportation sectors via unique containers. The design targets the market for both large- and small-scale cryogenic applications. ICT’s solution is modular and suited for onshore as well as maritime use. The development of hydrogen infrastructure is slow and holding back widespread adoption. Transportation of large volumes is one of the major challenges that IC Technologies is determined to solve. Another challenge is the storage of liquid hydrogen. Current storage solutions resemble enlarged thermos flasks, and the hydrogen inside gradually evaporates over time. Antagonist

We’re an independent game studio based in Oslo, Norway, which was founded in February 2013 by a group of students at the Norwegian School of Information Technology (NITH). In January 2014 we consisted of 7 members of the team who all have different experiences in their own fields of expertise. Our common goal is that we want to contribute to the indie scene with story-driven games, without compromising the gameplay. Starting up a new company (let alone within gaming) is no joke, and we hope to make it easier for future companies to make games. It’s a small pond, and as soon as we announce our projects, our vision is to have an exposed development during production. So keep an eye on our development blog on our page, or contact us if you want to know anything! We are currently working on a third-person horror game, set in a forest inspired by Norwegian nature.

Connecting Grounds ApS

Connecting Grounds is a food start-up based in Aarhus that up-cycles spent coffee grounds (a.k.a. coffee waste) into a food ingredient for B2B snack and confectionary companies and restaurants. Why do we do it? 1. Environment Spent coffee grounds are often treated as waste. Think about how many cups of coffee you or the people around you drink per day. All the coffee waste from drinking coffee adds to the Greenhouse Gas Emissions. 2. Nutritional Value When we brew our cup of coffee, we are only taking advantage of 1% of coffee's nutrients. 99% of these nutrients stay in the spent coffee grounds. These nutrients include caffeine, dietary fibre, proteins and valuable minerals. What we do is change the narrative behind hidden food waste by starting with coffee by-products. By up-cycling such a product, we evert emissions, take advantage of our resources and raise awareness on the importance of up-cycling. Rethinking food is what we do, and we will not stop with coffee by-products. We will continue to search for resources/ingredients that have the potential of being reintroduced in the food stream, again.

Reselo

Although society aims at replacing fossil resources with sustainable, renewable alternatives, the production of many materials like plastics and rubbers are still very dependent on fossil fuels. To replace petrol-based rubbers in consumer products, we developed a process to transform birch bark, an abundant residue of the global forestry industry, into the novel biomaterial, Reselo Rubber. Based on a comprehensive material characterisation and encouraging feedback from customers we believe that Reselo Rubber has great potential to replace fossil-derived rubbers in applications like footwear, protective gear, playground flooring and toys.

Vesiro

Supercharging database performance to reduce server costs & server energy consumption. Vesiro is an early-stage startup that is developing an add-on to Elasticsearch to enable much better search performance. The product is in part based on our novel, patented search algorithms. Initial tests on data from Common Crawl (which is the same data used to train ChatGPT) shows that we can cut search times in Elasticsearch by 30-50% depending on search type used. The increase in search speed means that our software enables a more efficient use of servers in Elastic clusters, helping our customers save money on servers. It also means that the software reduces server energy consumption as fewer servers are needed to do the same amount of search. Vesiro was one of 20 companies to be accepted among 2500 companies applying globally to participate in the Norrsken Accelerator 2023. This means that we have been recognized as one of the world’s foremost high potential impact startups. The company is now closing its pre-seed investment round, which means that it has the capital to grow the team to accelerate software development. If you join our team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership in the company through stock options. As an early-stage startup, we have an exciting journey ahead. You will become a part of a small, tight-knit team that is turning innovative ideas into reality with the potential to have a real impact on the world. As one of the first hires, there will be great opportunities to grow in your role as the company grows. We work in central Gothenburg in the heart of the startup scene at Chalmers E-village, among tons of other startups and ecosystem actors.

Ximplifi

Cloud cost control. Simplified. Imagine getting your utility bill and you can't make out why it increased 2, 5, or 10 x. That's how most business owners, CFOs, and CIOs feel. But it's not just electricity, water, and such. It's cloud computing. "Why not just turn it off then, like utilities?" Well, it's not that simple. Complex interfaces for scripting and monitoring. Mostly a manual process, only a few folks - engineers - can handle. Wasting valuable business hours, overwork, and stress. Costing bottom lines all over the world. Ximplifi is working towards changing that. We've built "The smart switch for complex cloud infrastructure", to alleviate the frustrating feeling of wasting money down the drain. In the cloud. Our SaaS application lies on top of the cloud, managing complex shut/scale down of Virtual machines, disks, and database services. Enabling even the least tech-savvy to cost-control complex cloud applications and environments. Helping them save 25% of their business' cloud bill. And saving tonnes of CO2 emissions in the process. Reach out and let's talk about how we can help each other make better use of cloud computing.
