The main piece of equipment in the gym is the barbell. It is as simple in its form as it is timeless in its design. But when it comes to using the proper safety equipment that comes with the barbell, that’s when the flaws become visible. Today’s methods of securing weight plates to a barbell is done by using collars or clips, which often lead to a poor user experience, and they are often hard to put on and pull off, can easily break or slip during lifts, they are often hard to find and even disappears. The Olympic barbell has remained virtually the same for the last 93 years, and despite today’s standards, improvements can be made. In a seemingly ever-growing market, people’s expectations of safety, design, quality, and user-friendliness in products are on the rise. Gungnir of Norway is a Norwegian startup company that designs and manufactures high-quality gym equipment. The company’s first product is the Allrounder, a standard Olympic barbell with built-in collars for securing weight plates. The built-in collar system or “SlideLock” makes the lifting experience safer, faster, easier, and more reliable than the standard safety equipment in use today. Also, the SlideLock system can be applied to several other bar types like compact group training bars or loadable dumbbells. This solution has shown enormous potential in the fitness market, which we intend to continue to take advantage of. The SlideLock is the first of many solutions that we seek to create within the fitness equipment industry. We started as a company in 2018 in Oslo, Norway, with an idea for a better solution to a problem well known to many who use weightlifting equipment regularly. Gungnir’s vision is to become the new standard solution for securing weight plates worldwide. A game-changing solution to a century old problem.

Project Iceman is an ambitious project that sets out to prove that #limitationsareonlyperceptions by setting up the first ever, World Record breaking Ironman distance triathlon in Antarctica, the Iceman. The Iceman is the first in a series of events that will put focus on mental health. The project was officially initiated in June 2018 and is the first step of establishing The Iceman Foundation, an organization that will establish and promote 'Mental Empowerment' for all.  We’re a tightly knitted group of people with a clear philosophy of life: Limitations are only perceptions. This is evident in everything we do and how we work. That means we go with what we find interesting and valuable to our cause. If it’s cool, fun, and worthwhile, we spend time testing and potentially going with it. We believe we can do whatever we set our minds to, which is why we’re always up for trying out an idea - no matter how ‘crazy’ it is.In practice this is carried out in close collaboration with one another. Everyone who wants to contribute are inviter to take part, but we each take responsibility of the things we find most interesting. It’s a wealth of freedom but it also requires courage, discipline, and a positive attitude.We’re a sporty group and like to stay active. Whether you’re into bikini, running, swimming, fitness, football, badminton, squash, paddle tennis, or any other sport, we’re happy to go and have fun with it together. This doesn’t exclude us from having the celebratory beer once in a while when we achieve some of our milestones - even though many think completing an Ironman requires a 100% clean diet and full focus on training (which is not necessarily the case, we eat homemade pizza and watch movies every Sunday everning!). We’re open, free, happy and positive. We encourage creativity and allow ourselves to do what we find most interesting.

We at ihopa are on a mission to create a better and more sustainable alternative to buying products and storing them for the majority of their lifetime in a basement. This solution is shared access to products for home and leisure. We have launched several sharing boxes in different villa and urban communities so far. In return for a small monthly fee the members are able to book 25+ products anytime and as often as they wish. Going forward we are working to take our service to real estate developers and rental companies, so that the service can be financed in the same way as shared washing machines, gyms and so on for the tenants. Our team consists of passionate people with experiences in different fields, united by the mission to innovate this solution. We are learning every day how to improve our offering in a lean startup-like way. We are an open culture and welcome impact from everyone in our team, including our many advisors. We are a Copenhagen based design studio working at the intersection of design, art, and technology. We create our own collections under Hamide brand,  offer design consultancy service, and create spin-off projects. Our design process values empathic creativity, in other words, we love walking in others’ shoes with a creative mind.  We are currently working on one of our spin-off projects, Bookworm, aiming to create a democratic digital library experience. We are hoping to expand our team. We are two sisters, who took the tragic course of events in our lives to create something beautiful and empowering. We started our studio to honor our mother Hamide, who was a designer but never had the recognition she deserved, and passed away after a long battle with an atypical Parkinson's disease. So, Hamide Design Studio, is a serious matter for us, it is very personal yet we are very professional.  We are ambitious,  hardworking, and persistent. We love design profession for its power to change the world for the better. We have both intense days at work filled with creativity or just boring office work, and also light days as well. We know when to take a break and celebrate. Luckily our studio is located right next to Sønder Boulevard. We have some studio values and rules. Be genuine, hardworking, recycle, clean after, don't waste resources, be a humanitarian, be welcoming, and such. So, we try to be decent people and expect our partners to be such.
