The Fit

The Fit develops a mobile body scanning technology. Users take two pictures, with any smartphone, according to instruction in a web app. Within one minute, a personal Body ID is created containing the users body measurements, which can be used online to shop the right size, made to measure products or for virtual fitting. The Fit has a mission to revolutionize the fashion industry and make it more sustainable to change the online experience of the future.

Heyfunding ApS

Heyfunding is an Aarhus-based startup backed by some of Denmark’s leading business angels and investors.  Heyfunding is your online single-point-of-entry platform to the Danish startup ecosystem. We are experts in startup funding and we believe that accessing funding doesn’t have to be complex. Heyfunding makes funding simple. Our matchmaking tool helps startups identify and connect with the most relevant funding opportunities such as business angels, venture capital and soft money. Startups can also apply for the Heyfunding Grant. The Heyfunding Grant is a quarterly grant for entrepreneurs, startups and scaleups. The value of the grant is 25,000 DKK, and you can apply with and without a CVR-no. An external jury committee chooses the winner from criterias such as innovation, potential and execution. Woodly

Woodly is an entirely new type of carbon neutral and wood-based packaging material that can be used to replace traditional plastics. Our material is truly designed for the future : it is sustainable - bio-based and recyclable. It can be applied to packaging solutions like traditional plastics, and manufactured using the same methods. Woodly is an alternative - better for the nature.

GiiK

In 2015 the UN implemented 17 Sustainable Development Goals, aiming for a sustainable society by 2030. Today we register the US withdrawing from the Paris agreement, CO2 levels at an all time high and increased polarization in our society. We, the youth, are fighting every day to rally the wider population. We are running short of time and change needs to happen now. Our leadership tool shall empower us to gather people around sustainability. Anyone can be a mini Greta with our (r)evolutionary technology.

Finnish Net Solutions

FNS is a fast growing software company. We have hundreds of customers both in Finland and worldwide in the fields of veterinary and therapy. Our approximately 100 employees and consultants work in web development, support, sales, customer service and data migration. Our main products are Provet and Diarium and additionally we tailor software services to companies according their needs. FNS is a low-hierarchy company where employees are in the center of the business.

CityChange

We're solving a very big problem in the world's cities: That we don't know enough about what architecture, urban spaces and services that city-dwellers like and want. With a smartphone app coupled with a data intelligence platform, we retrieve raw data from people on the street and, through intelligent handling of big data, offer a whole new level of insight into what makes a good urban world. These insights will not only help us create better cities to live in — they are also highly monetisable.  NOTE: Formerly called 'Civitize'. Changed to 'CityChange' in spring 2021. --- We are currently four people — spread across Europe. Our Danish co-founder, Anders Ojgaard, has 18 years experience with both start-ups and consulting for some of Denmark's biggest companies and is a well-known figure on the urban design scene in Denmark. He has years of experience working with application design — and equally with urban architecture and communications. He recently left a position as the head of an internet project that had one of Denmark's largest corporations as its investor. Our backend developer has 10+ years of experience and works with a big stack. Significant experience with system architecture, PHP, JavaScript, server setups etc. Now building experience with Python and Swift. We have a product concept, a design and a prototype. We are currently building a MVP, which is going through alpha-testing at the time of writing, summer 2021. Expected launch in August/September. We are too early-stage for funding. We have, however, had an unusual degree of interest — including from both European VCs and one in the US. The aim now is to launch the MVP in a controlled environment (single city), presumably Copenhagen. Once we have built up an initial user-base, we will go back to the investors that have asked to be contacted at this stage. We are currently also laying the ground for collaborations with the biggest cities in Denmark, and have had one top-level meeting about a future partnership. We are currently interested in talking to 1-2 potential co-founders that want to come in at this early stage. At least one of these should be an experienced developer (PHP/Python/Elastic Stack). The other should be a person with relevant experience from start-ups and business development, ideally working with govtech / proptech OR it could be a UI/UX designer with experience with both mobile app design and web app design. SignLab

The Pitch SignLab helps families that need to learn sign language or sign-assisted communication to communicate The What Parents to children who are severely hard of hearing or deaf need to learn sign language to communicate. Today, only 1 in 4 parents to deaf children in high-income countries manage to learn sign language. In low-income countries, it is believed to be less than 1 in 10. Families with individuals that benefit from sign-assisted communication face the same challenge. These include the parents to children with Down Syndrome, severe autism or Cerebral palsy. The How An international learning platform for sign languages and sign-assisted communication. The SignLab learning platform is fully digital and can incorporate new languages within weeks. The user only needs access to a smartphone or a computer. The platform makes it fun and easy to learn through gamification and timed encouragement. To ensure that the user gets the most out of every learning session, our review functionality incorporates an AI that knows what signs you are about to forget. The AI then designs a learning session that is tailored to the individual user’s need. Our curriculum is designed in cooperation with sign language teachers in each language. The platform launched in open beta in Norway November 2018. Feedback from parents and sign language teachers gave it a NPS of +64. The platform saw exponential growth with an average growth rate of 276% each month for the first three months (Nov-Feb). This growth all came from word of mouth, $0 spent on marketing. The Why Today less than 10% of the 64 million parents to deaf and hard of hearing children know sign language due to the low availability of education centers. Exclusion from communication have a significant impact on everyday life, causing feelings of loneliness, isolation, and frustration. The inability to properly communicate have a significantly adverse effect on the academic performance of children. SignLab works towards a society where all families have access to teaching themself, their children and their community signs and sign language so that everyone can feel included.
