Gungnir of Norway is a Norwegian startup company that designs and manufactures high-quality gym equipment. The company’s first product is the Allrounder, a standard Olympic barbell with built-in collars for securing weight plates. The built-in collar system or “SlideLock” makes the lifting experience safer, faster, easier, and more reliable than the standard safety equipment in use today. Also, the SlideLock system can be applied to several other bar types like compact group training bars or loadable dumbbells. This solution has shown enormous potential in the fitness market, which we intend to continue to take advantage of. The SlideLock is the first of many solutions that we seek to create within the fitness equipment industry. We started as a company in 2018 in Oslo, Norway, with an idea for a better solution to a problem well known to many who use weightlifting equipment regularly. Herodesk is a fully remote tech startup based in Denmark. We have created a new customer service platform for small and mid-sized businesses and webshops. Our mission is to make customer service easy. It should be easy for our customers to use Herodesk, which in turn should make it easy for their customers to get the help they need. To achieve that, we've created a helpdesk and live-chat product that is simpler and cheaper than the alternatives. Our product was launched in September 2023. Now, a year later, we have close to 100 paying customers, with more being onboarded weekly. Our founder, Anders Eiler, has previously co-founded SpeedGaming and Meebox, and led the DanDomain E-commerce division (a >€10M rev. division). Based on those learnings, it was clear that a simple and affordable customer service platform was missing for small and mid-sized businesses. So in the summer of 2023, he founded Herodesk and entered a deep-red ocean with many established competitors, but with a mission to make great helpdesk software available for the masses.
