CircuCity

CircuCity is a circular e-commerce platform built to make sustainable consumption easier, more practical, and honestly, more appealing in everyday life. At its core, it is a marketplace where people can buy and sell second-hand items alongside new sustainable products, all within one ecosystem designed to extend product life cycles. But it’s not just about transactions. It’s about shifting habits. The problem we are addressing is rooted in the linear economy — the “take, make, dispose” model that still dominates global consumption patterns. Products are manufactured, purchased, used briefly, and discarded, often long before their functional life ends. This cycle drives resource depletion, carbon emissions, and growing waste streams. At the same time, consumers are becoming more aware of environmental challenges. Many want to make better choices, but the systems around them are fragmented and inconvenient. Second-hand markets exist, of course. But they are often scattered across multiple platforms, inconsistent in quality, and sometimes lacking trust. Sustainable alternatives, on the other hand, can be expensive or difficult to find. As a result, the intention to consume responsibly frequently clashes with convenience, price, and habit. People default to what is easiest — and that often means buying new, fast, and disposable. CircuCity bridges this gap. We provide a unified, user-friendly platform where circular choices are not an afterthought but the default. By integrating resale, reuse, and sustainable new products into one marketplace, we reduce friction in the decision-making process. Users can extend the life of items they no longer need, discover quality second-hand goods, and support more responsible brands — all in one place. Beyond functionality, we are building incentives into the system. Through mechanisms such as reward points, engagement challenges, and community features, CircuCity makes sustainable behavior visible and rewarding. The goal is not to lecture or guilt consumers into better habits. It is to design a system where circular consumption feels natural, economically sensible, and even motivating. Why does this matter? Because structural change requires behavioral change, and behavioral change requires better infrastructure. People cannot be expected to consistently choose sustainability if the systems around them prioritize speed and disposability. By making circular options more accessible, trustworthy, and engaging, we aim to shift consumption patterns at scale. CircuCity is not claiming to solve overconsumption overnight. But we believe that by extending product lifespans, reducing unnecessary waste, and empowering conscious consumers, we can contribute to a more regenerative economic model. In the long run, small individual decisions — when supported by the right platform — can accumulate into meaningful systemic impact. That is the space we operate in: practical sustainability, built into everyday commerce.

Nordsea Energy

My startup is in the planning stage and aims to deploy scalable solar-hybrid mini-grids—using technology of Nordic origin—to provide reliable, affordable clean energy to general hospitals across Sub-Saharan Africa. Hospitals widely suffer from unreliable electricity (only ~50% have consistent access per WHO data), leading to frequent blackouts, costly diesel dependence, and life-threatening interruptions to surgeries, emergencies, diagnostics, labs, and refrigeration.The venture targets massive untapped demand in a high-priority healthcare sector, with stable anchor revenue from hospitals, diesel cost savings, falling component costs, supportive policies, and non-binding government agreements in select countries to facilitate rollout—creating very profitable scaling alongside major social/environmental impact for uninterrupted lifesaving operations.Actively exploring feasibility, partnerships, and pilots. Killer Kebab

Killer Kebab is a modern fast-casual food brand deeply in love with kebab. We make ours personal and unique in a world that expects more and more from the food it eats. The problem we are solving is simple but deeply rooted: kebab has become synonymous with low transparency, inconsistent quality, and shortcuts hidden behind speed and convenience. Consumers want fast food that feels honest, crafted, and worth trusting, but the category has largely failed to evolve. Killer Kebab exists to change that. From day one, we set out to prove that kebab can be both fast and uncompromising. We build our kebab from scratch, marinating our meat in-house every morning, making all sauces and falafel ourselves, baking sourdough flatbreads fresh to order, and frying every falafel only when it’s needed. We deliberately serve fewer options, focusing instead on quality, repeatability, and operational excellence. Our approach turns quality from something subjective into something systematic. By owning every critical step of production, we create a product that is consistent across locations while remaining deeply human and handcrafted. This operational model allows us to scale without losing what makes the brand special. Beyond the product, Killer Kebab is built as a brand-first company. We solve a simple but widespread problem: people and businesses need flexible, secure storage – without long contracts, hidden fees, or complicated access. Traditional self-storage often comes with high prices, poor transparency, and friction-heavy processes. Henriksson Storage offers affordable, drive-up outdoor storage units with flexible terms, simple online booking, and clear pricing. Customers can drive directly to their unit, access it whenever they need, and scale up or down without hassle. Our model works just as well for households needing extra space as for tradespeople and small businesses storing tools, materials, or stock. Founded in Sweden, we are expanding rapidly across Sweden and the UK, with the ambition to build Europe’s leading outdoor self-storage network. We combine a lean, tech-enabled operating model with a strong focus on customer experience, local presence, and operational excellence. Bellis

Bellis is developing a direct-to-consumer travel experience platform to help local tourism businesses sell experiences and gift cards directly to travelers, solving the problem of high commissions, lost customer relationships, and generic discovery on traditional booking platforms — powered by low fees, strong data ownership, and an AI-driven discovery layer. The tourism and experience economy is dominated by large global booking platforms and deal sites that take high commissions (often 15–30%), control customer data, and prioritize volume over relevance. For local hotels, inns, attractions, and experience providers, this results in shrinking margins, limited ownership of customer relationships, and heavy dependence on third-party platforms for visibility and sales. At the same time, travelers face a different but related problem: discovering authentic, local experiences is surprisingly difficult. Recommendations are often generic, paid placements dominate results, and users must jump between many different platforms to plan a trip. The result is a disconnect between what travelers want — personal, meaningful experiences — and how experiences are distributed online today. This problem affects a large and fragmented market: thousands of small and mid-sized tourism businesses across Denmark (and beyond), and millions of travelers each year looking for better inspiration and simpler booking flows. Despite digitalization, much of the value is extracted by intermediaries rather than staying with the local hosts who create the experiences. Bellis solves this by acting as a direct booking and discovery layer between travelers and local hosts. For travelers, Bellis is a single place to discover, save, and buy experiences and gift cards directly from hosts — without hidden markups or confusing redirects. Discovery is curated and increasingly personalized through an AI travel assistant that understands structured tourism data and recommends experiences based on interests, companions, timing, and location. For hosts, Bellis is not a traditional OTA. There are no setup fees, subscriptions, or long-term lock-ins. Partners only pay a low transaction fee when they actually make a sale. Bellis provides the infrastructure — checkout, gift cards, partner dashboards, analytics, and server-side tracking — while hosts retain control over pricing, branding, and customer relationships. A key part of the solution is measurement and data transparency. Bellis ensures that marketing and traffic can be tracked and optimized even when bookings happen in external systems, allowing partners to understand real performance and invest confidently in direct sales. Bellis started from first-hand experience working closely with tourism businesses and seeing how much value was lost to intermediaries. Again and again, great local hosts struggled to make direct sales while paying high commissions to platforms that added little beyond distribution. At the same time, as travelers ourselves, we felt how impersonal and repetitive travel discovery had become — even in a country full of unique places and passionate hosts. The inspiration came from Denmark’s Marguerite Route: guiding people away from the highways and toward hidden gems. Bellis is the digital version of that idea. The motivation is simple: keep more value local, make discovery feel human again, and give both travelers and hosts tools that work in their favor — not against them.
