Vandre

Vandre is a young Norwegian tech company with the ambition to impact the environmental situation by making textile brands succeed in reducing their footprint by making clothes and garments live longer. The world’s garbage piles are growing. In 2021, 40.000 tons of used fashion clothes ended up in the Atacama desert in Chile as their final destination. This is just one example of how the textile industry is not even close to being sustainable. The sports and textile industries face strict requirements and a major upheaval, when the EU is planning to introduce sustainability reporting and requirements to offer consumers repair of products in 2025. Our platform connects brands in the industry with certified repair centres and facilitates a seamless user journey with logistics and payment options. The platform is also a sought-after tool at repair centres, as it helps to make their daily operations more efficient. We have currently launched in Norway, and plan to expand to the rest of the Nordics and beyond in the future. Our HQ is in a co-working space office in downtown Oslo – a two-minute walk from Nationaltheatret, where we share office with a small PE fund, and have lunch break together with. We also have employees in other cities working remotely. As a small team, some of us are quite often on the go and strive to stick to our digital workplace practices as much as possible. This enables the whole team to work quite flexibly when needed, together with some well-appreciated face time at the office as often as possible. Today the team is communicating openly using Slack and ClickUp to organise daily work and product development. There you will feel the motivating and active vibe from the other team members, our CEO Henriette, and our always-on-the-go working Chairman and brand relationship manager Simen. We are still a small team, but team spirit we have and everyone is highly motivated to make a difference in the world and help grow Vandre to reach it's full potential. Our culture is built on trust, freedom and humour. As most team members work from home most of the time, we always strive to be available during the working hours, and prioritise weekly meetings to stimulate the team spirit being a partly remote team. In addition we believe in a high level of freedom for each colleague to find their own optimal w/l balance. Prioritising a run before lunch or picking up kids in the afternoon is all up to the individual colleague. You know best what works for you. Finally our culture is also characterised by a high level of humour, with lots of laughs and a good vibe between team members. Our team today consists of passionate and skilled people representing deep industry knowledge and experience. We are constantly open-minded scouting for entrepreneurs with a varied skill sets with the proper drive to take us forward, together with a few dedicated roles (as below). Landell Games is a small and impact driven startup in the gaming industry. We seek tor the best all over the world to train them for the gaming industry. We work hard to make sure the teams consist of talents with mixed backgrounds. This means we prioritize those who are less likely to get into the industry because of stereotypes, origin, sex, gender, degree, religion etc. We are a cool company without a matcho culture in a earlier dominated western masculine industry. The first product "Apoceus" is in the last development stage and we had people from 30+ countries involved in making it a success story. Release is planned for 2024.

NIRAS Green Tech Hub

NIRAS has built the most incredible space for green tech startups with 5000m2 of office space, storage and production facilities. NIRAS Green Tech Hub is for startups seeking an extraordinary office space with cool meeting rooms in a vibrant, green and colorful environment with great coffee in the café. Startups will also be able to rent large storage spaces, build MVPs and have actual production in the production hall. This is the place where startups, innovative ideas and green engineering specialists meet. By accessing not only the vibrating hub with peer entrepreneurs, but also the best engineers specialised in sustainability with in different industries such as food, beverage, building, energy, infrastructure etc. The co-development and collaboration between startups and NIRAS’ many experts will be the fast track to grow ideas and innovations. Currently 25 startups and scaleups saluting the green transition is reciting in the hub on a daily basis, but we are working with more than 100 startups on an annual basis through our different programs and activities.

Farmers First AB

Disruptive distribution of farm equipment and supplies. Unified commerce; digitized, local, personal. Creates conditions for fair and sustainable farming. Farmers First, a Swedish start-up, decided to solve the problem with the domination from the tractor manufacturers in the value chain for agricultural machines. This domination leads to difficulties for big and small implement manufacturers to reach the farmers. It is also leading to lack of competition and higher than necessary prices for the farmers. “Somebody had to do something about the broken value chain – We decided to be Somebody!” The current value chain is not able to re-invent and solve the problem. A disruptive solution is needed. The Farmers First solution is combining digitalisation of machine sales with online expert help and a local network of workshops. It is including a maintenance solution to extend machine lifetime and improve farmers financials. The platform is creating networking and use integrated marketing methods. It is a Tech-solution in the AgTech area with a platform providing a Marketplace and E-commerce. To create an open and competitive value chain for agricultural machines is important for the climate, securing access to new innovative machines for efficient farming and regenerative methods, and to improve self sufficiency in food production. We are driven by this purpose, are convinced that putting farmers first is the right way to go, and are determined to solve the problem. We are warmly welcomed by manufacturers, retailers and farmers. We have launched, we see sales starting to pick up, and we are now gearing up to be able to grow sales and scale in Europe.

Lingu AS

The story of Lingu started in the non-profit organization KIA which works with integration and Norwegian language teaching. The founders Edward Milsom and Odd Bjerga worked in this organization and came into contact with skilled and resourceful people from many different countries. The idea of ​​Lingu arose in this context of migration and communication, and human talents. The website lingu.no was launched on 16 December 2008, and our first language course started on KIA's premises in January 2009, with course providers from KIA's network. Since its inception, the company has grown and become a leading player in the language market in Norway. Lingu is today an ed-tech company and course provider with course centers in several cities. The company's management consists of an innovative and curious crew with a long career in adult education and a heart for language, technology, and pedagogy. As a company, we want to offer engaging and digital solutions for our users, as well as facilitate personal development for the people we work with. We make smart collection systems for the circular economy. Helping companies get their circular products back from consumers. So that the products can be reused, refurbished or recycled. Think reverse vending machines for bottles and cans- but for other products, and with a twist of cutting edge technology and beautiful design. We’re an early phase start-up based in Oslo, collaborating with some of the largest companies in the world, helping them transition from linear to circular. We are located at StartupLab at Oslo Science Park, the epicentre of Norway’s tech start-up scene. Biim Ultrasound AS

Biim is a global medical company developing low-cost portable and pocketable ultrasound devices that connect to IOS and Android interfaces. Biim is entering the commercial stage with both FDA and CE approvals in place. The company has signed a 3-year distr. agreement with AngioDynamics worth a minimum of 20 million USD. Year-to-date revenue has exceeded more than 2.4 million USD. The company has secured a credit facility of 4 million USD with DNB. Biim is raising up to 9 million USD for the development of two new probes and to expand the global footprint to more than 30 countries.

Mitta AS

Think Outside is now Mitta AS, a subsidiary fully owned by Mitta Oy. Mitta will be offering geodata monitoring and measurement services to the Norwegian market, bridging the growth of the Finnish and Swedish Mitta companies to new Norwegian customers. For us at Mitta, accurate and reliable positioning is extremely important, as it is a basic prerequisite for spatial information. High-quality input data means cost-effectiveness in design, construction and monitoring, regardless of the customer's industry.
