AION by Aker BioMarine

Every year 282 million metric tonnes of plastic waste is produced worldwide, yet only 15% of this is recycled. This needs to change. AION’s purpose is to industrially scale a circular plastic economy. We make circularity happen at an industrial scale by working with our customers to identify opportunities to shift from linear to circular and grow their degree of circularity within plastic. Together with our partners we orchestrate a tailored, traceable and circular value chain for specific use cases. Our team of material, regulatory, logistics and business development experts work with companies to make sure the products and processes fit their existing operations, meet quality requirements and importantly have a tangible impact towards reducing their use of virgin plastic, reducing their CO2 footprint, and avoiding a generation of plastic waste.

Spect8

Spect8 is a norwegian tech startup with a mission to help sports organizations, pro-athletes and sponsors that don’t have enough time, capacity, or the necessary skills to reach their potential in growing fan engagement and commercial value. Due to the power of association among consumers, brands allocate an increasing amount of their advertising budgets towards sports teams and athletes. To measure the value of a sponsorship, sponsors rely on manual measurements and expensive consulting services. At the same time, athletes, clubs, and federations are left with few resources to decide what their commercial value is, and often forfeit revenue (and funding for their sport) by underselling their commercial value. To solve this problem, we have developed a tool called Foqus. Foqus is an easy-to-use machine learning tool created for sports teams and individual athletes to determine their commercial value for sponsorships, and for brands to manage and measure multiple agreements. We are currently working with Norsk Toppfotball, sports associations, clubs and and several brands, and are off to a good start to reach our goal of creating a new industry standard for how sponsorship value is created, measured, and driven. The existing team consists of three business developers with expertise in strategy, marketing, sponsorship, data and analysis. In addition, we have associated development teams with both front-end, back-end and database expertise. We have recently become a part of StartupLab's Accelerator program, are supported by Innovation Norway and have ambitions to scale our business both nationally and internationally in the coming years. We therefore wish to expand our team with a skilled developer who also wants to make a professional career as an entrepreneur. The CTO will have the overall responsibility for the further development and scaling of our core product, Foqus, as well as the development of new tools and concepts going forward.

We're an in-house startup backed by one of Norway’s fastest growing companies; Elektroimportøren, a wholesaler of electrical equipment who disrupted their industry by selling directly to end consumers both online and in over 20 retail stores across Norway. Working as a startup and building on our parent company’s strengths and infrastructure has enabled us to scale fast and make our service available to over 70% of Norwegian households. The Problem Our research show that people feel stress just thinking about hiring an electrician and that many struggle to even get started. The main reason being that they don’t know who to contact and what it will cost them to get the job done. Julegenser.no

A Krismis Story The julegenser.no project is simply a result of our very first ugly christmas sweater love affair! After a visit to Canada in 2012, two sumptuous, LED flashing ugly christmas sweaters came with us home to winter Oslo, Norway. The sweaters evoked this childlike happiness over the Christmas celebration, both in us and in everyone else when we wore them to Christmas parties and we noticed that we wanted more of this feeling. We simply wanted more of such sweaters! It was easier said than done in 2012. But, if you do not find what you are looking for, you can make it yourself...so then we did it. Although it took its time. With our brand 'Krismis' https://krismis.com, we want to share this sparkling, warm Christmas feeling with you. This way you can also have the Christmas atmosphere in your wardrobe all year round, and always have something to wear at the Christmas party, not matter what. We simply love Christmas sweaters! That is why we do not compromise on quality. We wish you a Merry Christmas, and remember that the most important message of Christmas is love. Huge Christmas hugs from the Julegenser.no / Krismis team. KRISMIS

Kindernay Corp

The story of Kindernay is a story about passion for cycling and new technologies. We ride trail, DH, freeride, enduro, XC, transport, and road bikes. Sometimes we ride hard, sometimes for fun. We’ve won national level races, and we’ve crashed. Sometimes we break stuff: bikes, parts, and legs. Beside, we’re also engineers, and have decades of experience in the development of complex mechanical devices. Our inventions are on the seabed, terra firma, and in space too. And we’ve delved deep, to bring about innovative transmission parts for automotive brands such as Porsche AG, VAG, and BMW, and heavy truck makers, like MAN, Daimler-Benz, Volvo, and Scania. But that’s another story. We are cyclist and we love our bikes… but we also want them to be better. We believe in a world where gear systems are internal; and here we are, having developed the worlds first, light-weight, robust, and reliable, real substitute to derailleurs. The Kindernay XIV. Kindernay is a registered trademark of CA Technology Systems AS, a limited liability corporation registered in Norway.
