All these actions are automated, which translates to: high speed and efficiency. Food Farm is so much more than just ordering your lunch. What we offer is the world's first co-created food platform.In essence, this means that we strive to deliver food in the most efficient way possible by engaging with each user in our value chain. When we started, we wanted to make ordering food cheaper but in our efforts to do so, we realized we had started building a new system for food services. Our vision is to connect every aspect of the value chain from the person producing the food to the person growing it to the final consumer. In doing so and with better communication between these different actors, we hope to reduce food waste not just within Norway, but also on a global level. Our business model is very lean and we don't need a lot of resources to enter other markets and we know that that is where we would like to be to contribute towards addressing the larger issue of food waste.

Matezy is a co-living platform that solves three problems every person in shared housing faces — but that no single product currently addresses together. Finding a compatible roommate today means scrolling through Facebook groups, TikTok and Finn.no ads with no personality filtering and no verification. The result is conflict and instability. Once you move in, managing shared finances is equally broken. Rent splits and shared bills are tracked across WhatsApp messages and Excel sheets. Money disappears and people argue. On top of that, rental contracts and deposits are handled without proper tools. Matezy solves all three in one app. Users find compatible roommates through a personality-based matching system — think Tinder for co-living. Once matched, they manage shared expenses and communication through a built-in household dashboard. Rent payments, digital contracts, and deposit handling are managed directly in the app. There are approximately 600,000 people living in shared housing in Norway alone, and hundreds of millions worldwide. No product currently owns this space.

ABchar is developing a new type of pyrolysis reactor, affordable heating and the possibility of small-scale biochar production, adapted to agriculture.. This will help achieve the goal of a 40% reduction in emissions from the agricultural sector. What is pyrolysis? Simply put, this is the heating of an organic material without access to oxygen. This leads to a series of reactions that ultimately result in 3 main products; biochar, oil and gas. We want to utilize the biochar in this process. The oil and gas will be burned and the heat from this will be used to dry grain, heat barns, greenhouses, residential buildings and other things that need heat on a farm. Why pyrolysis and biochar? Plants absorb CO2 from the air around us through photosynthesis. They are actually extremely good at this too. The residual product is mainly oxygen and the plant material. The great thing about pyrolysis is that we are able to separate water, oxygen and hydrogen from the plant material and we are left with more or less pure carbon 80% +. This is carbon from the air! If we take this coal and spread it on our agricultural land, it will be stored there for up to 1000 years and perhaps longer. In some cases, the soil will become more fertile and less vulnerable to periods of too much or too little water.

The Hive Initiative’s Mini Climate Summit makes it easy to address these challenges. It brings employees together in real time to learn science-based facts and then gives them a forum to collaborate on solutions. With ideas captured and implemented, KPIs are met, ESG requirements are fulfilled and culture is strengthened. The result: more minds that help make company sustainability more active, enabled and empowered, which in turn makes society more educated and resilient. We are a group of people with high levels of climate anxiety- but also high levels of optimism. We want to use our skills in design and communication to make it easier for everyone to stay educated, hopeful and empowered, which will make it much easier for all of us to adapt to our changing world. As the founder, I wanted to work on solutions every day, and did so while having a day job. After 4 years, myself and my collaborators have built up a good product prototype, solid relationships with other climate orgs, and solid vision of what we hope to achieve. So it was the right time to focus on this fully. I really do believe that all of us want a world that is fair for everyone and is in harmony nature. We just have to figure out how to get there.
