MIRAGE - Art of the real festival

MIRAGE is a year-round initiative and a film festival for the art of the real. We want to give our audience the best of international cinema, handpicking around 30 films every year. Most importantly MIRAGE is a social festival and a place to share experiences and a place to be fascinated. Through cinema, parties, and concerts, through mind-opening conversations and intimate meetings with the most interesting artists and filmmakers of our time. Showcasing the latest premieres and hottest titles from the most important film festivals like Cannes, Berlinale, Venezia, Rotterdam, etc. The typical MIRAGE film will make you travel, will make you captivated and curious, and open your eyes to new perspectives about the world around you. Last year we launched our MIRAGE Satellite concept which is a project to reach out beyond Oslo with our program. In collaboration with several screening arenas, we have extended our festival to all parts of Norway, from east to south. Through this, we will help companies close the competence gap so that they become relevant also tomorrow. We have successfully passed the first phase of being a start-up, have customers, are financially solid, have come a long way in verifying our concept in the market, and will now rig to build the technology to scale the company.

FISKHER AS

We have produced a unique app for fishing (so far in saltwater, Norway). After 6 weeks, we have been downloaded 85.000 times, in Norway. We combine the knowledge of the best fishermen in the country with AI, being a unique app for all types of fishing people. We combine 50 years of knowledge with cutting-edge technology, making the best fishing-app for everyone wanting to go fishing!

SquarePeg AS

Apple made one of the most iconic ads “Here’s to the crazy ones” to lift their campaign “Think Different” in 1997. This ad was so “new” and controversial that it since has made history, and is now part of most curriculum in most marketing schools around the globe. It was written by Rob Siltanen, Creative Director for TBWA/Chiat/Day and Creative Director at Apple Lee Clow. It wasn’t Steve Jobs, but it was he who made the quote famous (Originally it was the voice of Richard Dreyfuss in the ad). This, for us marketing geeks, is food for thought, awe and inspiration. Not because of the text itself, Steve as a celebrity, but for what impact that ad had on its audience. Knowing now, in retrospect, the ad was basically describing Steve himself, and beautifully put together with famous “rebels” of their field, we cannot help empathizing and relate to the ad, the history and the text. Don’t get us wrong, we are no rebels. We do not contribute to any groundbreaking tech innovation or have a goal of changing the world. What we believe in, is changing the way advertising is perceived, consumed, and targeted. The glory days of “buying a TV ad and you’re set” have long passed. The effect of “Here’s to the crazy ones” can still be archived, and is our goal in everything we do. We are forever inspired by Steve Jobs, and his rebel being, and we named our company after his ad, written by an agency. The agency does not matter, the sender does.

Kinera

Kinera's Fast Fix technology addresses the need for more efficient no-dig repair and rehabilitation techniques for large-diameter pipe infrastructures. The solution is a versatile remotely operated robot that can rehabilitate much faster than traditional labor-intensive methods. The robot will prepare the pipe and spray a designed polyurea pipe inner liner. A proof of concept was carried out in the Qatalum Power plant in Qatar. The European wastewater repair market is worth app. 15 bEUR in 2021 and for Norway 280 bNOK is needed for rehabilitation next 20 years. Markets to serve; municipals, power plants, and O&G.

Submerged AS

We have developed a camera-based sensor for 24h automatic sea lice counting and biomass measurement. Our product solves the main challenges in high contrast underwater imagery of sea lice with deficient maintenance. We are looking for funding to take the effect to the next level, where approval of our solution in the industry and by authorities are key factors as well as the development of the organization.

Höylytt AS

Höylytt is working to make the great benefits of playing music, the development of both body and mind, available to anyone. We have created an alternative technology for learning how to create and play music, we call it Guided Workflow™. It is a technology that enables users to easily compose their own songs by dragging and dropping their favorite chords on a timeline, then they get visual guidance on a keyboard to help improvise and hit notes that fit with their chosen chords.No more fumbling around on keys trying to find the "right" note. We show you which ones work and which ones don't. We created the music-making app Jamsy to showcase the method in use, and also as a stand-alone product. By 2021 we are bringing our own hardware based on Guided Workflow™ to the market.
