Let’s Roll connects the global roller skating community in a social network built for roller skating. Our goal is to gather all the roller skaters, all the skate spots, and all the knowledge of the community in one place. The Let's Roll app tries to take on some of the key problems facing skaters all over the world: Where do I skate, who do I skate with, and how do I progress in my skills? We try to combine these elements, into an exercise tracker, focused on roller sports and specifically roller skating. We want to collect and share the collective knowledge of the global skate community using modern GPS tracking, to locate all the best skate locations for different styles around the world, and we want to make it easy for skaters to connect with others in their area. Finally, we want to create a resource for learning new moves and tricks and make it easy to track progress and unlock new abilities as a skater. We are friends, roller skaters, and tech nerds from Ukraine and Denmark who have banded together to create the Let’s Roll App. We love the skating community and how roller skating brings joy to people, and we believe the best ideas are created when you listen to the people you want to service. In a short span of time, Upsound has become the leading platform for recording studio rental in Denmark, both on an hourly- and session basis. We facilitate a large number of crowdsourced studios throughout the country that rent out their studios through our platform, as well as a vast network of music producers, sound-engineers and songwriters. And in 2024, we changed our name from Juicebox to Upsound, re-branded ourselves at upsound.com, and are ready to take our first international steps! But why is there a need for a platform like ours? Countless musicians across all music industries does not have access to recording studios, which is both due to a lack of studios, that access to studios is often based on personal networks, as well as the fact that existing studios are often very expensive, and the common users therefore cannot afford to use them. But despite this, many studios are often empty, as most of them are rented on a monthly basis by only one or a few owners who does not use them full time, but finding renters for the available days and/or hours can be time consuming. At Upsound we try to solve both problems. With our crowdsourcing of existing studios across the country, we can highlight all the offers out there, thereby bringing the customers and the studio owners together. As of today, we have onboarded 40+ professional studios to our platform, have 1000+ users registered, and have facilitated over 800 bookings. But why us? Because we have experienced the problem ourselves as musicians. We, like many others who start making music, did not have a large network of friends in the industry, and we did not know any producers, sound engineers, or studios, and we certainly did not have money for what we could find on Google. We are therefore heavily dedicated to solving this issue, but have also seen the potential for a highly profitable business endeavor. This combination is why we went directly from university, to working full time on Upsound, to creating a team that have all the necessary skills to solve any problem we may encounter, to being adopted into Innfounder Graduate, to landing our first investment in December 2023, and our ambition is not only to solidify ourselves in Denmark, but to become the leading platform for recording studio rental in Europe.
