SHITIKA STUDIOS is a fresh and unique jewellery brand that also dwells into sculptural objects for the body. The jewellery pieces are forms of artworks that can either be worn or adorned as objects. It focuses on bringing masculine and feminine characteristics together, making all the jewellery pieces unisex and for all. The sculptural objects and jewellery are inspired by nature’s rough qualities, industrial modernity, and futuristic aesthetics. Giving the brand a dark and mysterious vision. All the jewellery pieces are handcrafted by the designer and artist herself in her little studio in Oslo. With over 8 years of experience within the jewellery and production industry, she takes part in developing the brands sustainability awareness by continuously collecting recycled silver which is used for producing new pieces. SHITIKA STUDIOS also uses other precious materials such as gold for custom orders, and precious gemstones that are sustainably sourced. There are also other projects that the studio dwells into and that is the research and development of biomaterials, and how recyclable and sustainable materials can be innovated. This is carried out with a collaborative project called the Bio Deep Map, founded by the BioRegion Institute in Norway.

The first phase is an insight phase focusing on getting to know the users, ensuring that the development is based on real-life problems and reducing the number of assumptions the project is based on. The second phase is designing the product and exploring multiple design and concept ideas to ensure the chosen design makes the most significant impact. The third phase is detailing the product for manufacturing, ensuring that IP rights are assured, that it's possible to manufacture the product and that the product is made with sustainability in mind. In the third phase, I help communicate with suppliers to ensure the quality of the final product.

Oslo matfestival samler matopplevelser fra hele verden på 3kt på Aker brygge i juni og Birkelunden siste helgen i august, og gir byens innbyggere og besøkende muligheten til å oppleve en smak av forskjellige kulturer. Basbaas er en uunnværlig del av somalisk matkultur. Denne chili-sausen er så populær at hver familie har sin egen unike oppskrift på den. Vår oppskrift er laget av Faduma Hassan Husseen, som tilfeldigvis er moren til vår daglige leder. Faduma har laget basbaas nesten hele livet sitt og lærte å lage den ved å se på sin egen mor. Hun bruker kun de ferskeste ingrediensene og blander alt sammen for å lage sin signatursaus.
