Danish Startup Group (DSG) is a non-profit organization in Copenhagen. Our vision is to inspire and support entrepreneurs in their startup journey. We do that by engaging with our members in a variety of events:start-up tours, workshops, learning activities and social networking opportunities. Through our events, we strive to provide our members valuable insights into the national and global startup environment and connect them with like-minded peers from different universities, colleges and professions.

Sideflow is circular economy service, who is developing a service to help textile companies eliminate waste. We do it by building a platform that connects industrial sidestreams to potential utilizers. From all the material used in textile manufacturing in Finland, up to 30% ends up directly into waste, most commonly as cutting waste. Global research suggests that the amount can be even higher, up to 45% when also deadstock is included. We are creating a service and a platform that recognizes the material waste in an early phase and connects it to potential utilizers - companies that can use the rescued material in their products as it is, or after it is processed to new materials. Through our work in textile productions, we recognized the issue, and ran experiments and pilots to find solutions. In the pilots we have been able to eliminate waste by channeling the waste to new products. There lies undiscovered value in industrial sidestream, both for the economy and the ecosystem, and our mission is to recover that.

People living with diabetes and the healthcare sector currently spend billions on continuous glucose measurement (CGM) sensors. Despite the ease and convenience of use, patients and their caregivers are currently drowning in data generated by CGM since we still lack digital tools to generate automated analyses and interpretations. Digital Diabetes Analytics ( DD Analytics) provides a state of the art automated digital solution which analyzes CGM data and generates systematic interpretations to truly transform diabetes care – Diabetes 3.0. We are developing a never before seen digital tool for people with insulin-treated diabetes and the healthcare sector. Our decision support tool generates automated analysis including root-cause interpretations of CGM based on machine learning algorithms. Recent technical advances with CGM make it possible to map all glucose fluctuations. However, there are currently no tools available for analyzing all the data which constitute a major challenge for both the affected individual and the healthcare sector. For the individual, the amount and continuous nature of the data make it nearly impossible to systematically make adequate adjustments of the insulin treatment. For the healthcare sector, the introduction of CGM has resulted in an avalanche of data to interpret which can consist of 50.000 data points for each patient at each visit. Our ambition is to solve this major hurdle and provide the digital tools needed to truly transform diabetes care. Our product is a software as a service and our long-term ambition is to make it available to everyone living with insulin-treated diabetes and their healthcare providers.

The foodservice industry is a highly competitive market which relies on low profit margins and manual dated processes. Food disitributors are using primarily phone calls, SMS and emails to take orders from their customers, which leads to bad customer service, limited availability and an unscalable business. Cerve powers an easy-to-use ordering platform for hospitality services and institutions that streamlines their ordering process, increase transparency and availability, while creating an automated and seamless sales operations for foodservice distributors.

Today, the vast majority of sports clubs and associations are managed on multiple platforms, most of them being outdated, not meeting the users' demands. Sportyfriends is here to change that. We gather all assignments in one intuitive system. Our portfolio of features include a website builder, court booking system, membership management, organization of activities and financial management. Moreover, we offer a lights and locking system for sports centres, online payments, and a mobile app for iOS and Android. Our team consists of a committed group of people having dealt with the challenges many sports clubs and associations are facing today.
