Cellevate is an innovative biotech company that develops the next generation of cell culture systems. We create highly porous networks of nanofibers through a unique process. Cells in these networks are allowed to proliferate and interact with other cells in three dimensions, in contrast to the monolayer cultures seen on conventional two dimensional surfaces. Maternity Foundation is a Danish tech non-profit that works to ensure a safer childbirth for women and newborns, everywhere. Through our Safe Delivery Program, we use digital training- and learning tools to support and train skilled birth attendants across Africa, Asia, and soon the Middle East. We work from a shared vision that it should never cost life to give life. Over the past 10 years, we have grown from a smaller Danish NGO working on the ground in Ethiopia to a global actor within digital health and learning for skilled birth attendants. Our mobile solution, SafeDelivery, is currently implemented across multiple countries in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia and has reached more than 200,000 health workers – even in the most remote and fragile settings. We work with partners such as UNFPA, UNICEF, Ministries of Health, Plan International, Red Cross and Save the Children in more than 15 countries. We are a global team of almost 40 colleagues in Denmark, Ethiopia, India, and the US. We come from various backgrounds – global health, midwifery, anthropology, IT, and the business world – and we take pride in an entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do attitude. Taiga Tools has now a range of 5 unique products for woodworkers. Our first product was a unique third-party connector system for the Festool Domino joining machine. The latest product is the MF32 Multifunctional Router Jig to make a whole assortment of joints with a single unique jig. I am the founder and only worker currently at Taiga Tools. I have started this company after having worked as a carpenter myself. I'm originally from Belgium but decided to move to Finland after studying here as an exchange student. Trying to manage as a carpenter/furniture maker in north Finland is hard as there is barely any demand. To still be able to be creative and be in the same field more or less and not be financially depending on local economy. I started the company Taiga Tools where I design and make my own woodworking tools and accessories.
