Finnadvance

Finnadvance is developing miniature chips for the pharmaceutical industry and for research. The chips mimic functions of a human organ and allow for more precise and expedient drug discovery. This lowers costs by reducing the need for animal studies. The chips are used to develop cures for rare diseases and to develop personalized medicine.

CityChange

We're solving a very big problem in the world's cities: That we don't know enough about what architecture, urban spaces and services that city-dwellers like and want. With a smartphone app coupled with a data intelligence platform, we retrieve raw data from people on the street and, through intelligent handling of big data, offer a whole new level of insight into what makes a good urban world. These insights will not only help us create better cities to live in — they are also highly monetisable.  NOTE: Formerly called 'Civitize'. Changed to 'CityChange' in spring 2021. --- We are currently four people — spread across Europe. Our Danish co-founder, Anders Ojgaard, has 18 years experience with both start-ups and consulting for some of Denmark's biggest companies and is a well-known figure on the urban design scene in Denmark. He has years of experience working with application design — and equally with urban architecture and communications. He recently left a position as the head of an internet project that had one of Denmark's largest corporations as its investor. Our backend developer has 10+ years of experience and works with a big stack. Significant experience with system architecture, PHP, JavaScript, server setups etc. Now building experience with Python and Swift. We have a product concept, a design and a prototype. We are currently building a MVP, which is going through alpha-testing at the time of writing, summer 2021. Expected launch in August/September. We are too early-stage for funding. We have, however, had an unusual degree of interest — including from both European VCs and one in the US. The aim now is to launch the MVP in a controlled environment (single city), presumably Copenhagen. Once we have built up an initial user-base, we will go back to the investors that have asked to be contacted at this stage. We are currently also laying the ground for collaborations with the biggest cities in Denmark, and have had one top-level meeting about a future partnership. We are currently interested in talking to 1-2 potential co-founders that want to come in at this early stage. At least one of these should be an experienced developer (PHP/Python/Elastic Stack). The other should be a person with relevant experience from start-ups and business development, ideally working with govtech / proptech OR it could be a UI/UX designer with experience with both mobile app design and web app design. These tokens may represent shares in a company and can be issued to raise capital for the company. We are among the leaders and first-movers in this area in Europe.

Go Dogo

Go Dogo offers deep-tech products that help dog parents keep their dogs mentally healthy. Dogs need mental stimulation to stay healthy. The stimulation should be based on both owner-facilitated and owner-independent challenges. The owner-facilitated mental stimulation (different types of training) is critically important, as it is not just mental stimulation - it builds and continuously strengthens the human-dog bond. Solving owner-independent challenges on the other hand is extremely important because it boosts the dog's self esteem and self confidence, which is crucial in order to prevent many behaviour problems, such as insecurity, anxiety, aggression, in-door soiling, excessive barking/whining, destructive behavior and canine depression. Available solutions that may provide owner-independent mental workout are low-tech products made out of wood, plastic, cloth or a combination. They are typically about moving or pushing or clawing at something to find or release a hidden treat. They are not giving any instructions or feedback and they have no progression - so they are usually either too easy or too difficult. If too easy, the dog does not get a whole lot of mental workout - and if too difficult the dog tends to give up fast, and hence does still not get the desired mental workout. The solution is our Go Dogo! Go Dogo uses the home TV to give the needed instructions and feedback and it dispenses treats as rewards when the dog does an exercise correct - or in some situations to support the motivation to keep trying. Computer vision enables Go Dogo to recognise the dogs movements, and the intelligent software adapts to each dog individually and only gradually increases the level of difficulty to ensure adequate mental stimulation.
