Hedia is a smart diabetes assistant driven by a personal need. Living with insulin requiring diabetes demands constant control and a great effort to achieve well-regulated blood glucose at the expense of freedom and quality of life. As a person with diabetes you never get to live without the distress of dealing with diabetes.  We aim to solve this by offering a personalised smart diabetes application that helps with the everyday struggles of diabetes, like carb calculation, insulin dosage recommendations and tracking diabetes data.

Workwide is a Värmland based startup established in 2014. We run some of Europe’s most exciting job boards, niched for finding international job opportunities. Starting in Sweden and for the Swedish market in September 2015 we are now active in two additional markets: Germany with www.workwide.de and France with www.workwide.fr. Our job boards is where Swedes/Germans/Frenchmen go to find international job opportunities. We are planning to launch our concept in additional markets during 2017.

We’re a biotechnology company creating something new, valuable and useful from what otherwise would be trash. I know what I'm good at. I want to be independent and autonomous, thrive alone in a private company and have from time to time some good moments with confidence on top and think I can do everything by myself (remember that self-esteem and self-confidence is not the same). But now I have realized that this 'trait' (which I until now, have called it), is not particularly lucky if I want to achieve something in life. I will not stand alone. Why should I, when I know that together with other good people (especially women), we can accomplish so much more? I would rather ask myself; What can I do to encourage and embrace women around me? Is it possible that someone needs my help? When was the last time I did something meaningful for another woman in my industry? And as journalist Lindsey Saletta wrote in an article; is there anything inside me holding me back from supporting women?
