Benjis Sea Moss

What if the healthiest thing you could eat was a plant from the bottom of the ocean? Have you heard of Sea Moss Gel before? Nature’s most powerful superfood? The one that contains 92 of the 102 minerals our body needs? Now, I know what you’re thinking. Seaweed? Really? That slimy stuff on the beach? Yep, that one. But here’s the thing.. We’ve turned it into something that’s not only incredibly good for you but also seriously delicious. Let’s rewind for a second, because there’s a reason Sea Moss is called nature’s most powerful superfood. At Benji’s, we produce nutrient-dense Sea Moss Gel. A plant-based superfood that we grow and harvest sustainably from the tropical island of St. Lucia. This island isn’t just beautiful, it’s alive. The surrounding waters are rich in minerals thanks to volcanic rock activity beneath the seabed, and the warm Caribbean climate creates perfect growing conditions for the golden sea moss to thrive. It naturally absorbs over 90 essential minerals and becomes rich in omega-3 fatty acids, amino acids, and vitamins, making it one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet. What’s even more magical is that Sea Moss doesn’t just support human health, it supports the planet too. Sea Moss is one of nature’s quiet climate heroes. It takes in carbon dioxide (CO₂) and releases oxygen, just like trees. So by farming sea moss, it’s basically like planting underwater forests. And they are powerful ones. Sea moss can absorb up to 20 times more CO₂ per acre than land-based plants, and it grows without needing fresh water, soil, or fertilizers. Even better, as it grows, the sea moss creates a safe habitat for marine life. Fish, crabs, and turtles return to the area, and whole ecosystems begin to regenerate. It helps restore balance to the ocean while asking almost nothing in return. It’s one of the few crops on Earth that is good for both people and the planet at the same time. And that’s exactly the kind of thing we want to be part of here at Benji’s.

Zack Health

Only 2.7% of the healthcare budget is used on prevention, leaving individuals on their own to stay healthy. Individuals might feel healthy, but most are not and completely unaware of it. For example: - 34% have too high cholesterol. - 14% have (pre-)diabetes, >25% unaware of it. - 29% have high stress levels. Poor health of individuals significantly costs employers and insurers in terms of sick days, lost productivity, and claims - all of which are largely preventable. To bridge this gap of an unhealthy population, Zack provides businesses and their employees access to comprehensive health checks - testing for more than any standard ones. Designed to deliver personalized, actionable health insights, backed by science, empowering everyone to make informed decisions about their health. We are combining advanced lab testing with 'digital twin' technology and 'behavioral science' to really improve employee health. The problems in this area are many for both teachers and students: 1. There is no quick customer support for teachers using digital tools today. 2. High admin time and cost for teachers. 3. Lack of teachers in schools with relevant programming experience. Today Maths teachers teach programming. 5. It is time-consuming for teachers to prepare and check programming assignments for students. 6. It is becoming difficult to stay up to date with the new changing tech era and the job market. 7. The course for learners or students is boring, theoretical and standardized. 8. We all as humans are different but we study the same standardized way. Therefore, no personalization for programming is available today.

PESITHO ApS

PESITHO Pesitho is a Danish based enterprise, committed to providing affordable and clean energy solutions for cooking to marginalized and vulnerable people around the world. We have developed the ECOCA solar powered electric cook stove, to meet the daily cooking and energy needs to families living in off grid areas. Pesitho has established a locally run co-operative outside of the Bidibidi Refugee Settlement in Northern Uganda, from where stoves are assembled, distributed, and serviced by refugee residents and members of the host community. The company was founded in 2018 and has a combined experience of more than 30 years in the renewable energy industry. The Problem we are solving Currently, 4 billion people around the world lack access to clean, efficient, and affordable access to energy for cooking. Polluting fuels and technologies for cooking have a detrimental impact of health, nutrition, gender, and the environment, hindering the process of a sustainable development, in many cases, in already fragile settings. The lack of progress in clean cooking, reportedly costs the world more than $2.4 trillion each year, driven by adverse impacts on health, climate, and gender equality. Left unaddressed, communities will continue face multiple adverse consequences, that are further amplified by poverty, climate change and future global pandemics. To solve this problem Providing access to an affordable and sustainable technology for cooking with the ECOCA solar powered electric cook seeks to address energy security not just for cooking but also to reduce environmental issues like deforestation, pollution, also gender inequality and poverty. Research and design for our stove was conducted with residents of the Bidibidi Refugee Settlement in Northern Uganda, where pilot testing permitted additional adjustments, allowing for a stove specifically designed to meet the cooking needs of vulnerable groups of people living in off grid areas. The ECOCA comes with a solar panel, insulated 6l cooking pot, 1 LED rechargeable household lamp, 1 LED rechargeable torch and USB ports for charging small items. Studies conducted with end users by organizations such as Caritas and World Food Program, have shown improvements to overall health and wellbeing, reducing exposure to harmful pollutants from smoke and usage of firewood, improvements in taste of food, income generation from USB port charging station and hours saved from collecting firewood being reinvested in education and skills training. The Spark Pesitho was founded on the belief that all should be able to have access to modern clean energy for cooking. Seeing a map over Africa showed that a large portion of the continent is without access to modern energy. This sparked a willingness to learn why. Understanding the why lead to the understanding of scale of lacking modern energy in that region of the world. While other continents where mowing a positive direction in relation to rural electrification sub Sarah Africa is still mowing in the wrong direction with the number of people living without access to electricity growing. This knowledge inspired the team to pursue the development of the ECOCA, off grid E-cooker

POOW The Food Hero

Health Capacity is a start-up located in Helsingborg, Sweden. We are the company behind the service, POOW The Food Hero. The Problem: 50% of all children between the ages 2-5 will experience problems with foods during their childhood. Cirka 25% of these children will get the diagnose selective eating disorder. This results in a stressful mealtime situation for the whole family all the way from cooking the food to eating it. Another problem related to this is the pressure and demand on parents to cook healthy and variated food for their children. This is a very energy and time-demanding process and if it isn't taken seriously it can potentially affect the health of the whole family for a considerable future. The Solution: POOW The Food Hero is an application for smartphones and tablets, the application is via gamification helping children to eat more and better food while the children at the same time is learning about nutrition. The application is also providing families with healthy and easy-to-cook recipes that will activate the whole family. The result is a peaceful and interactive mealtime situation for all family members as the children will eat the food since they are aware of what they eat. The parents can also relax knowing that the food on the table is healthy and nutritious both for them and their children. We also want to mention that POOW is very effective for children with ADHD and autism who are struggling with a selective eating disorder.
