Steerpath is a Finnish startup solving global challenge of optimising benefits of hybrid working for both employee and the company. Our hybrid workplace application helps employees & companies get maximum out of multi-location working. We have built a mobile app where employees can easily see when to visit the office or stay remote based on their favourite colleague work plans and available capacity of meeting rooms, it can guide you around a space if you are new to the space via indoor maps, and much more. For managers we provide analytics of what spaces are being used, so they can develop their spaces in an optimal way. We have also developed an internal venture under a different brand called Spacehub, which are small pods you can book for working in shopping centres and similar. Customers are typically larger companies from 1000+ employees, with majority Headquartered in Finland, but we also have customers in the UK and US. In the future we will be focusing on the Nordic market, because in the Nordic culture there is trend to focus more on employee satisfaction. Our solution is already used by some of the largest and most well known brands in the Nordics, such as Finlands largest commercial TV broadcaster MTV. Steerpath was founded in 2013 by Mikko, Tuomas and Sam, all sharing a long history with several decades of experience in all aspects of product development, Bluetooth and other wireless technologies. Our team has since grown to now 15 people of different background and nationalities. Our office is in Alberga Business Park next to Sello in Leppävaara, easy to reach with public transport (15 minutes from city centre), and we have a very nice setup with a small living room in the middle. We have been able to bring together different strengths to deliver a solution our customers love and we are very excited to bare witness to some of the innovations that have already come out from the collaboration. We are a very friendly group who enjoy hanging out and do things together, we also have small events, board games nights, summer party and more. We have a start-up environment in our small team, and support a hybrid work model with the flexibility to work partially remote. We do recommend people to come to the office at least 2 days per week, as you will work closely with other members of the company, and this is the best way to get to know your colleagues. The rest of the team prefer coming in most days, and we even have colleagues stopping by during their holidays to say hi to the team, borrow tools, and other things, and that really says it all.

Firtal Tech is a part of Firtal Group, owned by Matas A/S. Our primary product is SELVEO, an e-commerce logistics management SaaS, hyperfocused and -optimized towards modern e-commerce businesses. SELVEO was born from a need from our sister company, Firtal Web, to fulfill orders, manage stock and do purchasing in a highly efficient manner. SELVEO is currently in closed beta and is used by multiple e-commerce businesses - big and small. The ambition is to become "Shopify for e-commerce logistics." The platform is so simple that it's easy to use even with 20-30 orders a day and up to 5.000 orders and beyond (our current customers represent all parts of that range). On the technical side, SELVEO is built API-first and made up of several microservices written in multiple languages (Go, NodeJS, Rust, PHP), depending on which language best suits the service.

A lot of businesses have amazing potential that is not being utilized because day-to-day operations are taking up most of the time that otherwise could’ve been invested in developing new business ideas and income opportunities. In a large part, the reason for this rising potential is the technological advancement we have seen over the past few years. Although it is creating opportunities, a lot of companies have a hard time adapting their operational and administrative processes to this new way of doing business. As mentioned our whole reason for existence is to help companies go through digital transformation, to set themselves free of their old inefficient processes. We use a combination of different frameworks from the fields of Business Process Management and Software Development to tailor digital processes 100% to our client´s workflows, management and operations. The nature of our work can described as two integrated phases that each brings a unique value to our client. The first phase is all about in-depth analysis of current processes, painpoints, operation dynamics and redesign of these from a digital perspective adding the technological aspects. The second phase is related to developing the actual automation software, scripts, integrations and business logic using the technologies. There is a catch though: in the second phase, the first phase is actually repeated – the closer we work with the technical development the more opportunities arise along the way, which usually allows us to optimize the processes even more than expected. How and why did it start? “The only thing more important than your time is what you spend it on.” I realized this when I was 16, working a boring data entry job. At that time, I had already moved out and really had to learn how to prioritize my time. My main goal and dream was to become a professional basketball player and this repetitive, boring job was just taking away my valuable time, which I could otherwise be spending at the gym. For the first time in my life, I had too many goals but too little time. So I decided to change that. What started as a few formulas and scripts to automate my data entry, quickly turned into an app, which turned into 5 apps, and by the time I was 18 turned into my own company. I realized how small and medium-sized business owners face the same issue I was facing – too many goals, but too little time. And the solution: process automation and digital transformation. 2 years later and counting, I am running a company of process specialists, analysts, consultants, developers, and technical writers to help companies and business owners create more time for what is truly important. The journey has been awesome, but to be honest it is not all about the success. Just like I see companies as a bunch of processes, I also see life as a process – a learning process! Most importantly, this journey has brought me amazing knowledge and experience, which I would never give up for anything, and it shaped into the fearless person I am today. For me, life is about challenging yourself and learning from it – throw yourself into the deep end yet learn to survive! Teambox is an app for iOS and Android that should make it easier and more fun to keep track of accounts in small communities. We have all played football on teams where there was a fine box. We thought the administration of these fines was to difficult and would like to do something about it. We have developed an app that can be used for the administration of fines. The target groups are sports teams, friend groups, food clubs, school classes etc.

Cell Solar Nordic AB is a fast-growing solar cell company based in Stockholm. We’re passionate about solving the climate crisis by helping Swedes to make a cost-efficient transition towards renewable energy where we focus on helping our customers through the whole process and everything around it. We want to remove our dependency on fossil fuels.

Our goal is to improve quality of life through safe and secure communities. Our platform supports and facilitates all the day-to-day actions required to be an active participant. Have a meal together. Book ressources. Plan your day. We are currently in 22 Danish municipalities (and one in Norway), helping residents at assisted living facilities. Next year, we’re taking a leap into the mainstream, and developing a full-fledged community tool for any place where people come together. It’s a bit like Facebook, but more practical, and less evil.

Zenniz builds the future of tennis with an innovative smart court. The service and on-court device helps players and coaches with automatic line calls, stats, video, and drills. Our team has a mix of experience from technology (Google and Facebook) and tennis (Jarkko Nieminen is our tennis advisor). We’re securely funded by some of the best-known angel investors and VC's in Finland. The Zenniz product is currently in beta testing in Tali, Helsinki. The tracking of the system has already been validated in the Finnish Tennis League. Our next challenge is to scale Zenniz for the global market.
