Marin Design is located in Kolvereid in Nord-Trøndelag County, and was founded in 2006. Our staff include engineers and skilled technicians with experience from several different disciplines within the marine and maritime sector. There are many companies within maritime industries such as fisheries, aquaculture and logistics in Kolvereid and in close-lying regions (e.g. Vikna). These companies are also some of the main clients in our professional activities, which are primarily focused on design of vessels, covering all aspects from hull shape to interior machinery and equipment. We are also qualified for certifying deck-mounted cranes. We have designed a series of different vessels, including service vessels for the fish farming industry, tugs and fishing vessels. In addition, we have experience in modifying existing vessels and specialized design of vessels for specific purposes. Since 2011 our quality system have been certified by Bureau Veritas, according to ISO 9001:2008 - Design and construction, stability calculations, and technological services and innovative environmentally correct solutions in the field of marine and maritime enterprises, nationally and internationally.

Picterus is an app under development designed to monitor jaundice in newborns. Untreated jaundice in newborns is responsible for more than 100,000 deaths and a substantial number of permanent brain damages each year. More than three quarters of these deaths occur in the poorest regions of the world, in sub-Saharan Africa and south Asia. Cheap treatment is available through e.g. sunlight, but the diagnostic devices in use today cost around 10,000 dollars, making them practically unavailable in low-resource settings.

Not just aromas and concentrates - the real deal. It shall be as local, genuine and organic as possible. Except from the sugar we'll be looking for the ingredients in our nearby surroundings.

Minimapper is a Finnish proptech startup building an AI-powered tool for making real estate photos understandable. Our product helps property portals, brokerages, and landlords to make listings easier to understand by showing exactly where each photo was taken within the property. Minimapper adds a small floor plan minimap with a viewing marker to listing photos, giving property seekers a clear spatial understanding of the spaces from the very beginning. Even though floor plans and photos are two of the most important assets in real estate marketing, today, this crucial connection is often missing from property listings. Interior photos can look attractive, but users often struggle to understand how the rooms connect, where a photo was taken, and how the property actually feels as a layout. According to a user survey by leading Finnish property portal Etuovi.com, 80 % struggle with spacial understanding without Minimapper, and two-thirds want to see Minimapper in listings, as it helps 87 % to understand the spaces easier. Minimapper is available in all HOAS properties in the Helsinki region, where they manage over 10 000 apartments. In 2025 alone, Minimapper helped over 650,000 students to find their next home more easily. We are now developing Minimapper into an automated AI API that can process property listings at scale. The goal is to enable major real estate portals and listing platforms to automatically add minimaps to property photos whenever a floor plan is available. We are looking for a backend-focused full-stack developer to help build the backend systems, cloud infrastructure and integrations around our AI pipeline. Experience with APIs, scalable backend architecture, Google Cloud, Dart & Flutter, visual AI, image processing or real estate technology is especially relevant. This opportunity is best suited for someone who is motivated by startup ownership and long-term upside.
