HEKA VR is a medical software platform that enables Avatar-Therapy, a form of psychotherapy, to be conducted in a Virtual Reality or in a Telehealth setting. VR-based Avatar Therapy combines psychology and VR technology to provide transformative interventions for mental health disorders. Grounded in research, this therapy utilises virtual reality and avatars to create immersive experiences. Through the concept of embodiment, individuals psychologically connect with their avatars, leading to significant changes in thoughts and behaviours. In schizophrenia, Avatar Therapy helps patients gain control over auditory hallucinations, but Avatar Therapy holds promise for improving mental health outcomes among patients with Eating Disorders, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, Borderline disorder, Major Depressive Disorder and many more. Heka VR was born through a public-private partnership and research project called The Challenge Trial - initiated in 2019, funded by the Danish Innovation Fund and with the final research results published in The Lancet Psychiatry in July 2025. The results show that VR based Avatar-Therapy is a an effective new treatment method for 7/10 patients with treatment resistant Schizophrenia. Currently Heka VR is involved in 10+ clinical trials and studies around the world, from North America to APAC. Niuton is a deep tech platform that works on autonomous and decentralized solutions based on Newtonian principles and our end customers are hedge funds. Currently, we have a team of five people, the tech dev and research stretches three years back and we have been with one year live with clients. Now we are looking for a senior python specialist to automate the data flow in and out of our core machinery. The data feed into Niutons machinery is from Twelvedata and the output is clients around the world. For the right candidate, we can consider offering 0.5% of shares equity (valuation right now 7.5 million USD), you will be assisted by our other senior python specialist that handles the core machinery itself. The expected duration of this assignment is three to four months ONLY. Start date 1. January 2022. Resources have to be available 100% of the time during the assignment, most preferably in Oslo. The MVP is ready, Niuton is now exactly what we want, and the success criterion is achieving 99% uptime on a day-to-day basis.
