We have won the Copernicus Masters innovation competition and our product is sold internationally. We founded Metaito in February 2019, after spending more than four years at NTNU. The initial idea was sparked in 2014 when we discovered the challenge of organizing our resources as students. Fatigue failures of metal structures, for instance in working machines and energy production equipment, cause breaks in production and processes. Failures caused by the errors in design and analysis, and on the other hand, the redundant over-dimensioning of structures are both undesirable issues. LUT University originating realtime fatigue monitoring (ReFaMo) system is based on the life cycle assessment of devices and structures from the mechanical status viewpoint. The system measures loading history of structural components, and generates end-of-life estimation of structural components.

Vi har vuxit till att stödja över 15,000 ingenjörsstudenter genom att erbjuda verktyg och resurser för att effektivisera plugget. Vi har idag bland de största gemenskap för ingenjörsstudenter i Sverige. Hela projektet byggs för och av studenterna.

CosmEthics educates consumers about cosmetic ingredient safety, and suggests healthy alternative products by referencing medical research data. Consumers have very few methods to determine if a product is safe. The CosmEthics app allows users to scan the product’s bar code, and cross-references it with undesirable ingredients or allergens. Thus users can quickly assess the product’s health hazards, with a toxicity screening of INCI ingredients.
