Rebelvolt

Rebelvolt is a Finnish battery startup on a mission to replace diesel generators with e-Generators. Founded in late 2023, we have grown to 1Meur of revenue in the first year of operations, with accelerating and promising growth. Contrary to diesel generators, our battery-based e-Generators are not only quiet, pollution-free and sustainable, but offer tangible financial benefits for our customer. We have received no external funding, and are growing profitably. Next, we are ready to shift a new gear and aggressively take the market. This is a perfect time to join us, let's talk!

nervapax

Cluster (or “suicide”) headache is a debilitating disease with daily recurring attacks rated more intense than labour pain, taking complete control of patients’ lives. Current treatments are insufficient and leave patients desperate. To make normal life possible again, we are developing a non-invasive neuromodulation wearable that prevents CH attacks and is easy to use at home. It stimulates a nerve on the head to override incoming pain signals.

Herodesk

Herodesk is a fully remote tech startup based in Denmark. We have created a new customer service platform for small and mid-sized businesses and webshops. Our mission is to make customer service easy. It should be easy for our customers to use Herodesk, which in turn should make it easy for their customers to get the help they need. To achieve that, we've created a helpdesk and live-chat product that is simpler and cheaper than the alternatives. Our product was launched in September 2023. Now, a year later, we have close to 100 paying customers, with more being onboarded weekly. Our founder, Anders Eiler, has previously co-founded SpeedGaming and Meebox, and led the DanDomain E-commerce division (a >€10M rev. division). Based on those learnings, it was clear that a simple and affordable customer service platform was missing for small and mid-sized businesses. So in the summer of 2023, he founded Herodesk and entered a deep-red ocean with many established competitors, but with a mission to make great helpdesk software available for the masses. We've found product market fit, and it's time to scale the businesses nationally and internationally.

FiltraCare

FiltraCare is developing an innovative cigarette filter collection and recycling system to help cities and local communities tackle the international growing problem of cigarette waste. The mision is to provide an efficient, eco-friendly way to collect, store, and recycle cigarette filters, transforming a harmful pollutant into a valuable resource while reducing environmental damage caused by microplastics. Cigarette filters are the most common form of litter globally, contributing heavily to environmental pollution. They break down into microplastics that harm marine life and biodiversity. FiltraCare aims to address this problem by creating a scalable system that allows cities and businesses to collect and recycle cigarette filters before they are littered in landfills or oceans. The problem is widespread, affecting urban areas, natural environments, and public spaces worldwide, with billions of filters discarded every year. At FiltraCare, I have developed custom cigarette filter collection devices designed for urban environments and public spaces. These ashtrays will in the future collect used filters, which will be stored in airtight containers to prevent contamination. Filters will be sent to our recycling partner, who recycles them. It is the goal for FiltraCare to be able to recycle cigarette filters internally. Currently I am in the process of realising the pilot project in collaboration with local businesses and city authorities that are helping me fine-tune the logistics and scaling potential. By integrating this solution into existing urban infrastructures, we offer a seamless process for reducing cigarette filter waste. The idea for FiltraCare came when I realized how ubiquitous and damaging cigarette filters are to our environment. Walking through city streets, parks, and beaches, I saw the big amount of cigarette waste and understood its long-term impact on ecosystems. This prompted me to dive into research, learning that cigarette filters are composed of non-biodegradable materials that release microplastics into nature. Fueled by a passion for environmental sustainability and innovation, I decided to focus all my energy on creating a solution to this pressing problem, believing that even small changes in waste management can lead to big environmental improvements.

RUBEN BRAND

We love our smartphone and all the positive things it offers, but realized that we had become too dependent on it. More and more services we use daily have moved into the phone, which means it is always with us, whether we want it or not. We then decided to develop a product that can replace one of the most used services - payments. This now allows the freedom to leave both the phone and wallet at home or simply let the phone stay in the pocket. Less phone. More freedom.

Rizer Biotech AB

Rizer Biotech is a spin-off from groundbreaking research at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, aiming to revolutionise biomolecular studies in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Our team, currently including Dr. Andrea Volpato, Dr. Andreas Bodén and Prof. Ilaria Testa, focuses on developing an instrument and measurement technique that enhances the understanding of biomolecular dynamics. The team's expertise currently covers instrument and software development and research collaborations. Our innovation lies in directly studying large biomolecule dynamics, an area current technologies cannot effectively cover. The tool utilizes smart fluorescent probes together with polarized illumination and detection and enables a new dimension of molecular analysis that we believe can find applications in several important drug development areas. The core technology is the result of many years of research within the academic setting, but the commercial aspirations are still young. The company was started in 2023 and is just taking shape as a separate entity. Most of the operations are today located in Scilifelab, a national research institute leading life-science research in Sweden. Our vision is to empower drug developers, researchers, and clinicians with a tool that accelerates drug discovery and can foster a future of faster, more accurate, and more efficient therapeutic development.

We work hands-on from early problem exploration through company formation and early growth, typically partnering closely with founders as active co-builders. Our team brings experience from energy, industry, startups, and venture building, and we believe a systematic approach gives better odds in complex, capital-intensive domains. We build a small number of ventures at a time and take a long-term view. Respire contributes sector insight, structured venture development, access to relevant networks, and in-house capacity for early MVP development. We work with entrepreneurs who want real ownership and responsibility, and who are motivated by solving concrete problems in energy and green industry rather than chasing hype. We’re based at RE Gründerhus in Asker, a hub for sustainable innovation, and are now scaling the studio.
