Akusis ApS

At Akusis we deliver relevant content to the more than 1 million people suffering from hypertension. At the same time, we facilitate an easy to use blood pressure measurement proces, that enables general practitioners to receive patient reported data with a significant higher data integrity than the excisting solutions. An ease of mind solution for both patients and doctors, that saves and improves lives, and lowers the expenses in the Danish healthcare system. Hypertension is serious, and when not treated it could be fatal. However, the impact can be reduced, if treated properly and at an early stage. We have talked to a number of both patients and doctors, and from this we learned: * Doctors require more than 500.000 measurements a year. Measurements are performed by the patients in their own home, and self-reported into an existing digital solution. * Measuring and entering data in the system can be difficult, and leads to mistakes in about 36% of the total measurements performed. This gives doctors a poor chance of diagnosing correctly. * There is a need of a more simple and intuitive system, that can reduce the number of bad measurements. * Furthermore, the patients report, that they need information on exactly what hypertension is, and what they can do themselves to lower their blood pressure levels (besides taking their medicine). * Patients feel left alone with a lot of questions, and no one to answer them. Instead they go online, and find the answers in various places, and too often answers that ends up worsening their condition. Our solution is based on our own website, and our mobile application. On both platforms we deliver the content that we know the patients need. Today it is scattered all over, and of mixed quality. We bring it all to a single place. On top of that, we add tailored treatment courses, and hand on tools to be implemented in an every day life, giving the patients a chance to act and improve. Our content is delivered by experts in the areas of sleep, exercise and nutrition, as we know that is what the patients ask for. For those that want more than just information, we deliver access to an easy to use measurement proces, by using the equipment already at hand. Historical readings can be seen on the application, notes can be taken, and it is even possible to send the data to the doctor. The combination of the above signigicantly reduces the impact of hypertension in Denmark, and represents an approach to this specific disease, that doesn´t exist today. The idea for this specific project comes from a member of the founder team, Kurt Rasmussen, and is further developed by the other team members, who are both health tech engineers. Kurt is a general practioner with more than 25 years of experience, and has for (too) long experienced issues related to poor quality of blood pressure measurements, and patients that want to do more, but don´t know how to. We strongly, both as general practitioner and health tech engineers want to improve the every day life of patients, and enabling them to life longer, fuller and richer lives, free from worries and not needed complications. By developing Akusis BPM System, we are able to do so, and at the same time reduce the costs of treating hypertensive patients in DK. We claim, that when fully implemented, we are able to reduce the costs in the amount of billions - even conservatively put around 2-3 of them every year.

UVision ApS

UVision makes sensors for underwater inspection - Visualising the subsea. Ships, harbours, windmills and bridges need regular inspection, also underwater, in order to avoid major failures and costly repairs. Underwater, inspection becomes a lot more complex, it is difficult and risky to operate under water, and video-inspections are costly and ineffective. We are therefor building the UVision sensor to make inspections easy, safe and precise. The UVision sensor is a 3D-underwater camera; unique in size and weight and therefore easy to mount on a pole, on any underwater drone or handheld by a diver. You scan an object by simply moving the sensor around it, guided by a real-time 3D-map on a screen. After the scan, advanced algorithms create a photorealistic 3D-model and store it in our cloud solution - ideal for collaboration with colleagues, customers and partners. We are three full-time founders - each with 25 years of experience within technology development, marketing and management. One of us has a lot of experience with underwater photography, and we all have a deep interest in technology and strong urge to make something of our own - with all the ups and downs it will bring :-)

UniHelper

UniHelper is an Ed-Tech service for higher education, that improves student well-being and reduces dropout rates through algorithms and automated group creation. The company is based on the 4 founders' personal experiences when studying. Here, we all had a group of co-students to study and socialize with, which was crucial for our time as a student. Sadly some of our co-students did not have a, and many of them were faced with the huge personal defeat of dropping out. Therefore, we encouraged the university management to divide all new students into study groups. But that task was too complex for them, so they asked us to come up with a solution. And we did. At UniHelper we have developed software that forms optimal study groups for several thousand students in the blink of an eye. This ensures that every single student becomes part of a study group from the first day of the study. And the universities can automate the entire group formation process, reduce loneliness and avoid students dropping out. Since we started back in 2018, we have created groups for more than 10,000 students in 70 different education. If you wish to make a huge impact on student well-being, feel free to reach out.

RightHair

RightHair is developing a global market and education platform for curly and afro-textured hair to help people and minority women solve the problems of lack of availability of products and services and women's challenges in being financially independent worldwide. Through RightHair we give women all over the world an opportunity to start their own businesses and be financially independent. We do this by creating a software platform to connect freelancers, retailers and hairdressers to their customers. And we top that off with a “skill share” community for education. People with curls and afro textured hair are excluded from offers and services in today's beauty industry. Also, financial abuse is one of the main reasons why women are unable to leave relationships, worldwide. These problems contribute to discrimination in society, that women with minority backgrounds end up outside society and this makes the poor poorer. Women of color are excluded from many of the existing offers worldwide. RightHair solves these problems by creating a market platform where all services and products meet. So that people with curly and afro textured hair always can find something in their area. We also solve women's job and financial challenges around the world by offering a platform on which they can sell their products and services. Here they also get the opportunity to take courses, learn how to start and build a business and collaborate with partners outside their network. RightHair was founded by Lalla Coulibaly and Olimata Jeng who both grew up in Norway with roots from Africa. Due to the lack of offers for themselves and their community, the ladies each started their own platforms. Over the past 5 years, Krølltopp.no and Norwegian Naturals have grown into Norway's largest platforms for curly and afro textured hair with a total of 12,000 monthly users. now the ladies have teamed up to start RightHair as the question they get the most on their platforms is “where can I get my hair cut” and “where can I find products?''. Both ladies want to put time and energy into something that can contribute to women's opportunities and living conditions. This desire comes from their own experience as minority women in Norway with African roots.

Ankra AB

Ankra is a Cloud Architecture Platform delivering best-practice plug and play cloud infrastructure. Our vision is to automate the DevOps role, by replacing infrastructure as code with infrastructure as platform. Anything that isn’t related to an organizations source code should not have to be configured or maintained by their developers. Ankra automates the configuration and maintenance of the developer life-cycle/Cloud infrastructure, end to end. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Every single business who is developing towards the cloud has this issue. The DevOps tools industry is estimated at 25B$ with a CAGR of 25%. The market is moving towards implementing devops practices with the utilization of putting people into their organizations to achieve desired results through DevOps Practices. It’s hard to implement, even harder to maintain. What the industry is currently trying to solve with manpower, Ankra solves with Code. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ The Cloud-Infra Puzzle we're solving consists of three parts: 1. Complexity A good Cloud-Infrastructure setup for can take between 6-12 months to configure. Once set up resources has to be dedicated towards maintenance. Companies face the challenge of relying on specialized devops personnel to get this up and running and maintain it. 2. Cutting Corners Due to the complexity of infrastructure configuration businesses tend to take shortcuts which prevents them from scaling. Developers frequently have to re-align their focus to improve a poorly configured infrastructure. 3. Human dependency Developers become dependent on DevOps to interact with the infrastructure. If a business doesn't have DevOps, developers lose time as they have to "figure it out themselves", increasing an already strained cognitive load. If a business does have DevOps personnel, they are costly and frequently becomes a bottle-neck for shipping features. If the person who set up the infrastructure leaves, the business will be forced to: a) replace competence or upskill competence b) Rebuild Infrastructure with new competence. With Ankra you can have a cloud infrastructure up and running in an afternoon. Allowing developers to focus on building your business, undistracted. If a business needs coders it should be for developing core code, not for managing infrastructure. We provide the stack automated and free of maintenance. ___________________________________ After a decade of consulting in the DevOps space we realized that businesses were constantly re-building the wheel. We're inspired to building a standardized engine for all businesses to be able to scale. We're a team of tech enthusiasts who are excited to see just how far technological development will take us in our lifetime. The problem we're solving is a tide that would lift all boats, enabling software developing organizations to ship features faster, safer and with better insight. Soletair Power

Utilizing building ventilation systems to capture atmospheric CO2 and generate three-way benefits - reducing emissions, environmental benefits, and reducing CO2 exposure for the residents. Over half of the world’s population is currently urban, with predictions that this number will likely grow by 1.56 billion over the next two decades. As a result, we will see new megalopolises emerge, and an exponential increase in the construction of new buildings and CO2 emissions. This surge in the number of people living and working in buildings will only reinforce the challenge of guaranteeing the best air quality levels possible. A high concentration of CO2 has been proven to make people feel dizzy, tired, and sleepy. A Harvard study shows that for each 400-ppm increase in indoor CO2 concentration, our cognitive function score becomes 20% lower. Ours is the most affordable technology for increasing overall employee wellbeing by preventing their productivity from decreasing by 20%. If buildings can be used as CO2 capturing machines the lifetime emission can be offset. One single system for building ventilation of 3m3/s can capture 20 tons of CO2 per year. In a single building, one might have, for example, 20 ventilation units. So, per building, it is 400 tons of CO2 captured per year. When the system is used with renewable electricity (5kWh energy required per kilo CO2 captured) (20g/kWh) the emission is 100g when 1000g is captured. By transforming buildings into carbon sinks, net-zero targets can become achievable. Buildings become an active protector of environments and contribute to global negative CO2 emissions. Soletair Power captures carbon utilizing buildings' ventilation systems, which achieves up to a 50% reduction in emissions, supports employee wellbeing, and increases productivity. Soletair Power’s modular solution operates with a plug-and-play approach, enabling any company to install and use Direct Air Capture. The captured carbon can be reused as a non-fossil-based resource in a wide array of applications, effectively rewinding the impact of CO2.
