With SpotOn you order online, get a fixed price instantly and the job done by handpicked pros at a time that suits you. We're an in-house startup backed by one of Norway’s fastest growing companies; Elektroimportøren, a wholesaler of electrical equipment who disrupted their industry by selling directly to end consumers both online and in over 20 retail stores across Norway. Working as a startup and building on our parent company’s strengths and infrastructure has enabled us to scale fast and make our service available to over 70% of Norwegian households. The Problem Our research show that people feel stress just thinking about hiring an electrician and that many struggle to even get started. The main reason being that they don’t know who to contact and what it will cost them to get the job done. But they are also worried because of stories they hear of poor results or misleading prices leading to surprises when the invoice arrives. As a consequence they’ll ask friends or family for recommendations to avoid making the wrong choice. Lack of trust and clarity around pricing creates uncertainty and often leads people to postpone contacting an electrician until absolutely necessary. They learn to live with suboptimal solutions because getting the job done requires too much effort. And when they finally decided to hire an electrician they often experience the person not arriving at the agreed time, and without the necessary equipment to get the job done. The frustration reaches its boiling point when they then have to pay for the extra time needed to drive and pick up the equipment. Our Solution We have digitized the whole process of hiring an electrician, creating a seamless journey from need to end result and a superior booking experience that puts the customer in the driving seat. 01 Instant Fixed Price We’ve built a job-configurator with an inbuilt price calculator making it possible for customers to get a fixed price instantly by answering a few simple questions. This way our customers get’s a price in advance and no surprises when it’s time to pay. 02 Free Video Inspection In addition to our simple job-configurator our customers can book a free video inspection the next day. We’ve hired a team of electricians and built a digital inspection tool making it possible to create and send offers with a fixed price within 24 hours. 03 Handpicked Pros We’ve handpicked pros from Elektroimportøren’s already established network of contractors across the country. This way our customers don’t need to spend time finding a trustworthy electrician and can feel safe knowing the job will be done by qualified professionals. 04 When it Suits You We’ve built a scheduling system from scratch that allows our customers to choose when they want the job done. They simply pick a time and date in our digital calendar and the job is automatically delegated to one of our electricians in the area. 05 Efficient installation We’ve utilised the retail stores across the country to streamline logistics and make installations efficient. We pack and send the electrical equipment in advance so the electricians have all they need, removing unnecessary time spent driving and picking up equipment. 06 Industry-leading Guaranty All our customer are given the opportunity to evaluate their experience after the job is done. If the result is not as promised we fix it free of cost. MARKET Our target customers include sportsbooks across the globe, and we are currently live with paying customers in Europe, Asia and LatAm. The sports betting market is growing on a daily basis throughout the world, with the highest growth seen in the U.S. as more and more states legalize betting. This then also means that we, in all humbleness, are quite skilled at crafting shoes with a perfect fit for your feet. This is reflected in an extremely high customer satisfaction. We have a very low return rate, compared to the industry average, whilst the customer feedback is that the shoes they order, also fit when they wear them for the first time. The fashion industry experience is that for web shops, the vast majority of the goods are returned. Our experience is the opposite with our products. We produce shoes, fitting the times we find ourselves in, based on the virtues and trends defined by our own customers. BRØG

In BRØG we are developing a beautiful pour over coffee machine, where the user can control several variables in order to make their preferred cup of coffee. Our vision is to give the user the opportunity to brew the perfect cup of coffee while keeping the machine aesthetically beautiful. Besides that, we want to create an app where our customers can share, download and rate brews and thereby create a community similar to Vivino but for coffee lovers. Our customer segments consist primarily of coffee and design enthusiasts. The Scandinavian countries are the most coffee drinking nations worldwide, with a market potential of 800.000 sales - especially because black pour over coffee is the preferred brewing method. Furthermore, the design often matters a lot when Scandinavians buy new interior equipment and we plan on branding BRØG with that in focus. In order to brew a great cup of pour over coffee with the pour over method, you need to practice a lot to do it perfectly. This is where our machine comes into the picture. When using our machine, the user will be able to adjust all the crucial variables and thereby recreate their favorite cup of coffee every time. Besides that, our machine distributes the water correctly over the beans using our newly patented-pending water distributor. This will together with the right temperature, waterflow, bloom time and bloom water ensure a great cup of coffee. If the user is not an experienced barista or coffee connoisseur, they can use our app and in that find the coffee bean they are using (or a similar one) and see what settings other users have used and what the result was like. Anyone can therefore create a great cup of coffee with minimum effort or knowledge. All the components necessary to control these parameters require very little battery which, together with our battery pack, allows the user to brew a minimum of 100 cups of coffee before having to about recharging the machine. BRØG is portable and gives the user a lot of freedom which together with our design-protected design differentiates us from our competitors. The team consists of three Process and Innovation students from DTU. Our skills as a team cover the fundamental knowledge necessary to run a startup due to us having different qualities and interests. We have a great team spirit and know each other's strengths and weaknesses and help each other whenever the need arises. Two of us have been working on BRØG for the past one and a half years and are now going full time in our company, and the third partner just joined. Besides us, we have a strong team of advisors and mentors. Our advisory board consists of a business lawyer working with startups, a product developer, a business and market expert from CBS and an entrepreneur that we try to meet up with 6 times a year. Besides that, we have a mentor from a previous mentor program with years of experience as a designer within the same luxurious customer segment, who helps us create a beautiful and user-friendly product. This group of people have also helped us create a large network with contacts in all areas of expertise that we need to succeed.
