Since our founding in 2020, our dedicated team of engineers and Ph.D. researchers has been on a mission to revolutionize cloud and database systems using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. DBtune's core technology is a fully automated service designed to optimize databases. Our optimizer, based on machine learning, tailors each optimization to the specific customer workload and hardware in use. This approach leads to improved key performance indicators, making the process of database tuning more efficient and scalable across hundreds of instances. By utilizing DBtune, users enhance their databases' performance while significantly reducing cloud costs and environmental impact. We have garnered support from institutional and angel investors in the EU and the US, along with pre-seed funding from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation (KAW). We make fisheries much more efficient at filling their quotas, by using big (open) data, modern web technology and machine learning; resulting in less diesel, time at sea, fish poaching/bicatch and seabed contact. It started with gathering a crew of hackers and engineers for NORA's FishAI competition the summer 2022, which we won, then we set up the company to revolutionise fishery for the better. Today we are working close with our paying customers, to become a must-have tool on any vessel!

We are developing a platform to help owners of renewable power plants and their service providers gaining access to the right information at the right time, enabling the right decisions. In order to achieve this we deconstruct the hundreds of documents describing each plant into snippets of information in accordance with our domain-driven data model. In the next 7 years, the world needs to invest almost twice what has been invested into renewable energy generation in the last 20 years. At the same time subsidies are being rolled back, increasing the need to for ensuring that projected ROI is not compromised by underperformance of the investments (i.e. plants). We have lived the pain, and know that NOW is the time to transform the way commercial management of renewable energy plants is being done.

ZEN OCEANS is a startup developing fully electric, autonomous-ready ships to affordably decarbonize ocean transport. We will think big and nudge the market for fully electric ships from 0 to 1. To fund our vision, we will develop products that in themselves can scale into large revenue-generating operations; among them maritime batteries (ZENERGY) and autonomy solutions (OCEANEYE). The future of ocean shipping is simple, safe, and sustainable - the frictionless fabric of global trade. Consequently, we consider the argument for electric and autonomous ships to be very strong. We envision a fleet of electric ships deployed at scale, coordinated by an intelligent network for the efficient movement of goods. The future starts now.
