KAHU aims to close a persistent gap in maritime visibility - the inability to continuously track vessels not transmitting AIS (Automatic Identification System) data. AIS can be switched off, spoofed, or absent, creating blind spots exploited by illegal fishing, shadow fleets, and other high-risk actors. The AIS market is also dominated by a few providers, limiting access and transparency. This affects not only maritime safety and security but also the monitoring of ocean environments. We address this by building the first real-time, crowdsourced radar detection network for the ocean. Our onboard software connects to existing vessel radar, collects radar echoes, and streams them securely to the cloud using low-bandwidth protocols. There, echoes are linked into vessel tracks and fused with AIS, satellite imagery, and other data layers to produce a continuous, sea-level view of vessel movements, enabling comprehensive visibility over human activity at sea and supporting timely, informed action.

iDROP a/s is a company providing a disruptive method and proprietary equipment for efficient and accurate installation of sensors on or on the seafloor. The system comprises a self-navigating drone - Oceanid™, that purely based on gravity, and ballast shift, will self-propel itself autonomously from a drop location on the surface to a pre-plot location on the seabed. Complementary to the drop-node an automatic handling system is provided for unmanned deployment in an over-the-side basket, and subsequent recovery of nodes from the surface and safely onboard for storage. The complete system is containerized based on ISO shipment standards, and hence flexible and scalable in terms of storage, transport, and operation. The Oceanid development project is soft-funded by EU, Eureka, and the Norwegian Research Council, with complementary industry support from several European Energy Majors.

ROEST’s current portfolio includes two models of an AI powered hybrid coffee roaster designed for quality control. Seidr builds software that turns months of manual site selection and early-phase engineering work into hours of automated analysis, for developers of energy-intensive industrial projects: Power-to-X, data centers, and other power-hungry industries across Europe. Today, finding and qualifying a site for one of these projects takes 6-18 months and can cost millions, because the work is done manually, spreadsheet by spreadsheet, consultant by consultant, one candidate site at a time. Critical blockers, such as insufficient grid capacity or zoning conflicts, often surface only after months of work, when changing course is expensive. Seidr automates this. Our platform screens candidate sites in parallel against dozens of criteria, including grid capacity, current and future zoning, and environmental risk, and returns a ranked, decision-ready shortlist in hours instead of months. The underlying logic is built on real industrial project experience, not generic AI. We already have a signed, paying pilot customer and a growing pipeline of Power-to-X and data center developers across the Nordics and Germany. Backed by a venture studio, we are now looking for a CEO to take Seidr from pilot to scale, and to grow the platform from site selection into the full early-phase planning stack for energy-intensive projects.
