Marin Design is located in Kolvereid in Nord-Trøndelag County, and was founded in 2006. Our staff include engineers and skilled technicians with experience from several different disciplines within the marine and maritime sector. There are many companies within maritime industries such as fisheries, aquaculture and logistics in Kolvereid and in close-lying regions (e.g. Vikna). These companies are also some of the main clients in our professional activities, which are primarily focused on design of vessels, covering all aspects from hull shape to interior machinery and equipment. We are also qualified for certifying deck-mounted cranes. We have designed a series of different vessels, including service vessels for the fish farming industry, tugs and fishing vessels. ROEST’s current portfolio includes two models of an AI powered hybrid coffee roaster designed for quality control. We just closed a Angel round and received Innovation Norway's phase 2 grant, targeting break-even and a seed round in Q2 2025.
