Perfect for traveling, excursions or in a hectic daily life. Our products work all around the world and require no charging. Not knowing where your child is, is an intolerable situation, especially while traveling or on the move. When using the KinderID app to locate your child, a detailed map position is the first things you’ll see when connected. This enables you to locate and reunite with your child and its finder as quickly as possible. If you’re out of power or you simply don’t have any signal at the moment you discover that your child is lost, you will still be able to communicate with the finder. We have added an additional layer of security. The guardian SMS is a safety functionality that activates if you don’t respond to the finders request within 60 seconds. You’re able to submit 2 guardian backup contacts, that both receive an SMS containing the finders number and your child’s last known position. By using this Norwegian developed ID-technology, we allow our users to reunite with their children – fast, secure and easy. Comlight

Comlight is a Norwegian company specializing in energy saving streetlight solutions and is a commercial technology provider on the international market. For Comlight, the question is how to solve the problem of pointless energy waste in fully illuminated roads at times when there is no traffic. The answer is the Motion Sensing Street Light Control System, an energy saving technology that illuminates only when and where it is actually needed, without compromising the safety. The system features a radar detector on each light pole that senses all activity that requires optimal lighting on the road or in the area. When movement is detected by the closest street light, the light turns on to a full 100 per cent, allowing full sight and turns down to 20 per cent for energy saving when no one is around. The system has been tested by the Norwegian Public Road Authority and is represented in thousands of light points across Europe. Comlight is constantly expanding through its distribution partners. The system suits roads/streets, parks, large industrial areas and residential areas. Comlight sells to commercial distributors and is continuously working to find distribution partners that match its environmental values and future plans.

Alphafish

Alphafish is a design and data company in the smart home sector. We believe technology should flow so seamlessly in our everyday lives that it seems invisible and feels like magic.  Our flagship product is a smart power strip that does not look like a smart power strip, but rather a home accessory - like a lamp, breadbox, cable box, or a skull. We also make augmented reality accessories - namely a gauntlet for hands-free AR gaming. Our headquarters are in Stavanger, Norway, but our team is globally dispersed. We are led by former oil and gas people, but our skills/experience are diverse and multi-disciplinary. From wedding designer in Pennsylvania, to electronics engineer in California, to industrial designer in Paris, to video game writer in London, and even a film director in Malaysia - we are truly an international, versatile team. We love hybrid and unusual designs - with a healthy mix of tech and non-tech components, which also translates to needing passionate people with both tech and non-tech backgrounds, with usual and unusual skillsets. We welcome anyone who shares our values, and offer flexible positions and an exciting chance to build a great company from the ground up. Ideas compete. People collaborate. Come join us!

Missing Maps

The Missing Maps project maps the most vulnerable places in the developing world.  Building on the excellent work done by the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) and others in mapping as emergency response, the Missing Maps Project aims to map the places in the world where the most vulnerable people live in a proactive way. Instead of responding to a natural disaster, conflict or epidemic, regions vulnerable to crises are identified and mapped in anticipation of crises, meaning that when one occurs, local people, NGOs and other responders can start using the maps and the data from the word go, saving valuable time, and potentially, lives. The Missing Maps Project is an open collaboration founded by the American Red Cross, the British Red Cross, Humanitarian OSM Team (HOT) and Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
