The Hive Initiative is creating tools to help companies integrate adaptation and mitigation efforts within their organisation through design-thinking workshops and implementation frameworks. As most people do not have a background in environmental science, it can be challenging to understand the full picture and how roles can be adapted. And while sustainability courses and seminars convey knowledge, it remains challenging to keep the energy high, the culture empowered, and the knowledge put into practice. The Hive Initiative’s Mini Climate Summit makes it easy to address these challenges. It brings employees together in real time to learn science-based facts and then gives them a forum to collaborate on solutions. With ideas captured and implemented, KPIs are met, ESG requirements are fulfilled and culture is strengthened. The result: more minds that help make company sustainability more active, enabled and empowered, which in turn makes society more educated and resilient. We are a group of people with high levels of climate anxiety- but also high levels of optimism. As the founder, I wanted to work on solutions every day, and did so while having a day job. After 4 years, myself and my collaborators have built up a good product prototype, solid relationships with other climate orgs, and solid vision of what we hope to achieve. A cloud-based industrial IoT solution for manufacturers of all sizes that boosts productivity with powerful analytics in a pay-as-you-go package - Improving productivity of the factory in terms of man, machine, and time efforts. Optimizing the factory capacity for production by keeping in mind orders, stock of raw materials, and multiple other factors. - Scrap management - you are too late in the process if you realize that a specific order is producing scrap. UpKip's goal is to identify scrap before the order is launched for manufacturing. - Higher asset utilization. CNC machines have monitoring and control software installed on their monitors and controllers, but one person monitoring one machine is too expensive. UpKip allows for one factory worker (machine operator) to monitor multiple machines. The goal is to increase this load to 10 machines per worker. - Compliance, quality assurance, and reporting of all types of manufacturing KPIs to interest groups (customers, partners, sister/mother/group companies, and owners) to the factory. Certain interest groups nowadays are interested in being more vested in the entire process and understanding their supplier processes for example. Making sure there is traceability in the process is important to make sure quality standards are matched. Nearshore and offshore manufacturing facilities are often faced with daily and real-time reporting.

Niuton is a deep tech platform that works on autonomous and decentralized solutions based on Newtonian principles and our end customers are hedge funds. Currently, we have a team of five people, the tech dev and research stretches three years back and we have been with one year live with clients. Now we are looking for a senior python specialist to automate the data flow in and out of our core machinery. The data feed into Niutons machinery is from Twelvedata and the output is clients around the world. For the right candidate, we can consider offering 0.5% of shares equity (valuation right now 7.5 million USD), you will be assisted by our other senior python specialist that handles the core machinery itself. The expected duration of this assignment is three to four months ONLY. Start date 1. January 2022. Resources have to be available 100% of the time during the assignment, most preferably in Oslo. The MVP is ready, Niuton is now exactly what we want, and the success criterion is achieving 99% uptime on a day-to-day basis.
