Dory is the result of wanting to make a better door sign for both private and professional use. A sign that can compliment any surroundings, that can change and grow with you, and may be the first sign you buy and the last you’ll ever need. Dory is based on e-paper technology, app control and swappable frames in different materials and designs. The company is situated in Startuplab in Oslo Science Park.

Vandre

Vandre is a young Norwegian tech company with the ambition to impact the environmental situation by making textile brands succeed in reducing their footprint by making clothes and garments live longer. The world’s garbage piles are growing. In 2021, 40.000 tons of used fashion clothes ended up in the Atacama desert in Chile as their final destination. This is just one example of how the textile industry is not even close to being sustainable. The sports and textile industries face strict requirements and a major upheaval, when the EU is planning to introduce sustainability reporting and requirements to offer consumers repair of products in 2025. Our platform connects brands in the industry with certified repair centres and facilitates a seamless user journey with logistics and payment options. The platform is also a sought-after tool at repair centres, as it helps to make their daily operations more efficient. We have currently launched in Norway, and plan to expand to the rest of the Nordics and beyond in the future. Our HQ is in a co-working space office in downtown Oslo – a two-minute walk from Nationaltheatret, where we share office with a small PE fund, and have lunch break together with. We also have employees in other cities working remotely. As a small team, some of us are quite often on the go and strive to stick to our digital workplace practices as much as possible. This enables the whole team to work quite flexibly when needed, together with some well-appreciated face time at the office as often as possible. Today the team is communicating openly using Slack and ClickUp to organise daily work and product development. Kleda

Kleda is a platform that allows users to share their personal styles and earn money from it. The platform allows users to create a profile to showcase and share pictures of their clothing style, as well as add links to where the clothing items were purchased. These links are then transformed into "deep links" that enable tracking of purchases made through a given user's clothing style. Users who share their styles on the platform will receive a commission of approximately 10-20% on sales made through these links. Kleda facilitates transactions between users and clothing stores, with the aim of making it easier for users to shop for clothes and get inspiration to create a good clothing style. Kleda solves several problems in the fashion industry. Consumers often experience friction when they have to visit multiple different stores or websites to find the clothes they want. Kleda provides a seamless and user-friendly experience by offering multiple stores on one platform. Additionally, Kleda provides publishers with a platform to build their own brand and earn money through collaborations with clothing stores. Kleda provides clothing stores with an easy way to sell products directly to consumers on a platform that already has a large and engaged user base, thereby increasing their visibility and revenue. Kleda has three different customer groups. The first group is shopping customers who use the Kleda app to find and purchase clothes from various stores on an easy and user-friendly platform. The second group is publishers who share their clothing styles and inspire other users. Kleda offers publishers the opportunity to build their personal brand and earn money by collaborating with Kleda's clothing store partners. The third group is clothing stores that want increased visibility and accessibility on a new platform. Niuton AS

Niuton is a deep tech platform that works on autonomous and decentralized solutions based on Newtonian principles and our end customers are hedge funds. Currently, we have a team of five people, the tech dev and research stretches three years back and we have been with one year live with clients. Now we are looking for a senior python specialist to automate the data flow in and out of our core machinery. The data feed into Niutons machinery is from Twelvedata and the output is clients around the world. For the right candidate, we can consider offering 0.5% of shares equity (valuation right now 7.5 million USD), you will be assisted by our other senior python specialist that handles the core machinery itself. The expected duration of this assignment is three to four months ONLY. Start date 1. January 2022. Resources have to be available 100% of the time during the assignment, most preferably in Oslo. The MVP is ready, Niuton is now exactly what we want, and the success criterion is achieving 99% uptime on a day-to-day basis.

Pharmasum Therapeutics AS

New drugs for treating diseases of Down syndrome. More than 1% of the global GDP is spent on nursing demented people, and the number requiring nursing will triple within 2050. The disease is progressive, leading to death. There is no current cure available, only symptomatic treatments. Individuals born with Down syndrome have a more than 10x risk of developing dementia as well as a host of other diseases including diabetes. Our drug target, DYRK1A is an enzyme found on chromosome 21, and is considered a key factor determining developmental and medical challenges faced by individuals with Down. The enzyme interacts with multiple biological mechanisms involved in Alzheimer’s and autoimmune diseases. Advanced drug designUsing advanced drug design technologies, we have designed a potent DYRK1A inhibitor drug, PST-900. A use and substance of matter patent have been applied for. The company is currently working on chemical Lead Optimisation with 8 full-time medicinal chemists contracted.Financing and milestonesThe Company raised NOK 5 million in 2015 and 8.8 MNOK in 2016/2017, matching non-dilutive research (BIA) and business grants (Innovation Norway). We demonstrated Proof of Principle in a model system for Alzheimer’s disease in 2Q2016. We have also demonstrated that our drug is capable of reversing diabetes in an animal model. Together with clinical and regulatory advisors, we have identified an important unmet need for a drug to treat newly diagnosed diabetes. We will use this indication to quickly progress to market and from there develop analogous drug molecules in Alzheimer’s disease, focused especially in Down syndrome. Funding soughtThe current funding round will raise 15+ MNOK to fund the progression to the final Development Candidate during 2018.
