SoCentral

SoCentral utvikler likeverdige partnerskap med kommuner, næringsliv og innbyggere som vil utvikle et mer bærekraftig samfunn. Vi ble startet av tre gründere i 2012, og er et ideelt aksjeselskap hvor alt av overskudd brukes til videreutvikling. I dag er vi en liten bedrift med 8 heltidsansatte og 2 deltidsansatte, men med et stort miljø og nettverk rundt oss. Vi driver en inkubator med over 200 medlemmer på Sentralen i Oslo, og utvikler og leder prosjekter og samarbeid for å nå bærekraftsmålene. Som vår kollega i SoCentral vil du ha stor frihet til å løse dine ansvarsområder på den måten som passer deg best. Samtidig forventer vi at du tar ansvar og innbyr til tillit. Det er ikke et strengt hierarki eller avdelinger i SoCentral, men vi har alle tydelige ansvarsområder. Du vil derfor måtte forholde deg til mange “ledere”. SoCentral eksperimenterer med løsninger på viktige samfunnsutfordringer. Det er derfor uunngåelig at vi ikke alltid får til det vi ønsker. Det er ok. Det er faktisk helt nødvendig. For vi vet at vi lærer vel så mye av det som vi ikke får til, så lenge vi greier å dele åpent og spørre om hjelp når vi trenger det. Hos oss må du derfor være åpen for og villig til å dele halvferdige tanker og idéer fortløpende. SoCentral er kunnskapsdrevet og vi er avhengig av at ny kunnskap deles både internt og eksternt.

Hvor smarte kan vi bli med kunstig hukommelse og algoritmer? AI er god på de tingene vi er dårlige på, og motsatt. Prosessere enorme mengder data, finne mønstre og forutsi nye – alt i lysets hastighet. Perfekt for en AI. Umulig for et menneske. Derfor bygger vi en hukommelses-database. Den skal brukes til å lage verktøy som gir mennesker digitale superkrefter. Et slags lim for deg og framtiden. Et slags lim mellom alle og enhver. Et lim som vet alt, og som kan skille signalet fra støyen, hvert eneste sekund.

Preppio: Science-Driven Onboarding

Preppio is built based on the 5's principles together with Talya Bauer. The software uses messaging automation, chatbots, and content that enables any HR team to implement a science-based and paperless onboarding program that managers and new hires love. - Automation to save time for HR and hiring managers. - Chatbots to give new hires a better onboarding experience. - Science-based pre- and onboarding programs that drive engagement. Preppio works without employees needing to download new apps or log into separate platforms as we piggyback on tools that companies already use like SMS, Workplace from Facebook and Microsoft Teams.

YOUNG SUSTAINABLE IMPACT

Young Sustainable Impact (YSI) was started in 2016 by a group of youth in Norway who saw the cop21, Paris conference and looked ahead.We believe innovation and entrepreneurship can solve most of our challenges in the world, that youth are the driving force, and in collaboration with the experienced and established – it can be done. Innovation program: We aim to find the best talents in the world, to create impact startups to tackle the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  In Oslo we are a group of very different people, who somehow ended up together, with the same mission. We have fun, excited people who are trying their best to help people and at the same time grow into becoming that person who can influence the world in a positive direction. It's about the main goal, and not being recognized yourself - which is why any disagreement we have, turns out in a positive energy. The power of trying to get YSI to do the most good, is vital! We have found a great spot in Greenhouse, with a gaming room, ping pong, garden on the roof, (A ROOF), and other cool companies from all fields imaginable.At the same time, we work with teams in Bangladesh, South-East Asia, and China. Extremely different cultures, who also have the same goal as us. This is both hard and exciting at the same time.

WeWantToKnow

WeWantToKnow is a French-Norwegian company that focuses on Game-Based Learning. Its first product is the math game "DragonBox" and it has more games in the planning stages. The company was founded by financial analyst turned math teacher Jean-Baptiste Huyhn, the leading French game developer Patrick Marchal, and former Opera Software executives Rolf Assev and Christen Krogh. WeWantToKnow aims to make learning fun, easy and addictive. DragonBox does away with tedious equations and math quizzes, replacing them instead with a simple game involving cards and a magical box. The game evolves as kids master the skills and concepts presented. After one hour of playing DragonBox, twelve-year olds can tackle equations their parents struggle to solve. DragonBox was pre-launched in Norway to let schools, kids and parents test the game. Almost immediately, it rocketed to the top of the charts, becoming the most purchased app in the Apple App Store in Norway-- displacing other, more traditional games - check it out at - www.dragonbox.com

Smart retailers have strong webshops and lots of tools and data to drive traffic and conversion. But most of their business is still conducted through their physical locations. Using our tools, the physical shops are able to communicate and adjust their customer experience to the individual. Using the existing payment cards and terminals, we recognize the customer and capture all relevant data as is the norm online. This unique information is used to design a better shopping experience in the physical space. Our customers are the well-known retail brands you know from shopping malls across Northern Europe and the malls themselves. Norway and the Nordics already lead the world in electronic payments and the use of mobile and SMS to enhance sales. Now, we are pushing this further by combining access to the existing infrastructure surrounding shopping and a digital mindset to build closer relationships between retailers, shopping venues and their customers. HATO Medical Technologies

Haato is 'heart' in japanese and the heart is the focus of HATO Medical Technologies. HATO is a MedTech company specializing in heart monitoring and analysis. We have developed an innovative technology that assists healthcare professionals with increasing their qualifications in analyzing and interpreting electrocardiograms (ECG) through 3D visualizations of the heart and data-driven artificial intelligence. According to WHO, heart diseases are the largest killer in the world. Heart diseases and conditions are located and diagnosed with the use of ECG. This heart examination is practiced by General Practitioners, EMTs / Paramedics, Nurses, Doctors, and Cardiologists. Misinterpretation of ECG analysis leads to misdiagnosis, which might lead to fatal consequences for patients and the social economy. A British study estimates that up to 68,5% are misdiagnosed with heart failure. HATO's new digital solution analyzes heart diseases from ECGs using artificial intelligence and machine learning. The software solution increases the foundation of decisions of the healthcare professionals and combines 3D visualizations with our ML models for real-time animation of the patient's heart. All of this will assist healthcare professionals with localizing abnormalities and allow them to react faster at critical events. Innovative and easy. Long story short, the software platform will raise the bottom level of ECG interpretation and give all healthcare professionals a cardiologist by their hand.

SAGA Robotics

The Thorvald platforms represent a low-cost alternative to a wide variety of agricultural operations. All the Thorvald robots are built using the same components, but we customize each robot for your specific needs based on the innovative modular design. We can therefore deliver robots using standard parts but customized design to serve your needs. All our robots are built to operate in an outdoor environment. They are therefore IP67 classified at all the lower parts that may be submersed in water (wheels, lower gears, etc), and IP56 for the rest of the robot.
