Aid in Action is a voluntary organization that was started in 2008 by the then 19 year old Anne Louise Dæhlin (then Hübert), after visiting a poor village in Kenya. After initially helping to meet a dire need for food, Aid in Action has focused on sustainable development for the local community. We use social entrepreneurship to help poor people and children in need. We are – and want to be – a small and efficient organization that works closely with local, resourceful people in Africa. Our projects are mainly in Kenya. We are working within the areas of education, agriculture, stimulating local industry, water supply, roads, and assistance to orphans. The money we receive from our donors always goes directly to the projects, and none of it is spent on administrative costs on European side. This also means we pay no salaries to those who work with us here. We keep our donors updated with frequent posts on our web page and Facebook. Despite this, small-scale vegetable producers struggle to make an income. Predictable supply is essential to make efficient use of available market channels for direct to consumer sales, and a good plan is a key prerequisite to achieve this. The Digital Gardener aims to help small scale producers achieve the needed predictability by making it easy to create and maintain a good plan, and by helping them keep on top of work to be done throughout the growing season. The interest in gardening and homesteading has also surged during the corona crisis. Unfortunately, many aspiring home gardeners lack the needed growing competence to succeed with their gardening projects. Ambitious homesteaders face similar challenges as professional growers, as they need a good plan to ensure that they can harvest fresh produce for their family throughout the season. Naardic is an online gym. We focus on interactive classes - you see the trainer, but the trainer also sees you. Naardic is a fusion of fitness and tech. We are developing our own video conferencing system to get that next level user experience of online training. Our market is divided between private customers and corporate customers. The sale of private memberships started in august 2020 and corporate memberships started in November 2020. So far we have about 2000 paying members and grow very fast. Our corporate customers include some of the largest Norwegians companies like Tine, Crayon, Tryg, Schibsted ++. We have 20+ trainers working for us and about 15 live and interactive classes every day. Our trainers are regarded as the top fitness trainers in Norway.
